This collections company keeps calling my job. I've told them time and time again to stop. I've suggested them to take me to court and to quit calling my job. I work in a call center the phone lines are for customers and family emergencies. I cannot have personal phone calls. They call very rude and unprofessional. I can't get any information their telephone number is 855-868-2577. Please make them stop calling my job before I get fired.

Received a call from TRS looking for a Jeff Knight saying that my phone# was given to them for a contact # and that I owed them money. I started to ask her questions and the names and ages she said were completely wrong. Still persistent about having the correct # for a Jeff Knight, I hope I finally convinced her that there was no one with that name or the others she said at this phone #. Only certain people have this phone # , not even my doctors. It has never been given out as a contact # . Sounds like a total scam, or Jeff Knight made up a number and that happens to be mine.

This is my nightmare. I received a call a couple of weeks ago from a man who sounded so official I was terrified! His name is Tony Ciminelli, he had called my sister who lives across the country! He had all of my information! He threatened me being arrested, being served at home or at my place of employment!  He told me this was a white collar crime & fraud. I called my bank & they informed me that the account number he gave me was not a real one or one that was ever in existence! I am not sure if they are legitimate collection agency or not. He told me this occurred in 2010. Its not on my credit report. TODAY! Someone called me at work claiming they were from TRS and her name was Kesha! At what point did this become okay!? Are these people so damn lazy that they can't get a job! Damn them because I have 2 jobs! Why can't they be caught? And how is our information so easily accessed? With all of the tech available these companies that we trust and who make millions if not billions from consumers can't be bothered to protect us! Someone has to be accountable and I think its about time! Make examples from these people!  FIND THEM! Make them feel how they make us feel when they call and make threats. Let them know this is not acceptable and it will be dealt with and in the most severe fashion! They are affecting our lives and even our health! Panic attacks galore! And make companies regard our information the way they do their own! These people need to be stopped! I have called the district attorney, IC3 and the attorney general. Surely, one one these organizations can do something!
I know this TRS is going to continue to call my work for which I need stopped. I'll be talking to my DA tomorrow morning to see if he can stop this, DA V TRS!..............Who do you think is going to win!!!!!!!!

Everybody, I am now developing a website.org which will be a "Fighting back against bad debt collection agencies" I will have this up and running within a week or two but I think it's about we all fight back!! The FTC only controls so much of this abuse and we need to go higher and fight harder!! We can't sit back any longer and let this happen to us, even if we owe this debt! It's time that we come together and confront the people that hide and cower behind fake names and fake company's and take back what is ours." Ours" is our personal information, our dignity and self respect. I know the fear and humiliation you feel when these people scam you. These are the things they need to feel because they can't hide. We as a people will no longer stand for such corruption. "We Are The People".  Please help us help each other and provide any information or links that you have found helpful or productive. I will post updates on this site in regards to the progress on "We Are The People.org" website. I want to hear from everyone. We can fight this, not one by one but we can come together and fight this as one!
    LETS FIGHT BACK!!!

it is a scam. I did take out a payday loan that I was paying on. shortly thereafter I had some fraud on my checking account and had to close the account. I notified the payday company and made arrangements to pay at a later date. I should note, that around that same time they did attempt through put through a payment which obviousdly was rejected on the closed account. Within 3 months- I paid it off.

About 3 months later I started getting a call from this company TSA- saying that I owed some company $900 dollars an they had a sheriff on the way to serve me papers and needed to verify my address. My response was "if you have my number- then you certainly have my address and I'll be outside waiting for him". He never showed. I called the number back and got a busy signal. The next day- same call. I asked to whoma I owe this money and got no answer- so I hung up. The NEXT day I get a call from my BROTHER-with this company on the line, they told him he cosigned a loan for me and he owed the $900. I have NEVER listted my brother as a cosigner on anything and when I said that on the phone the lady apologized to him and hung up.

Now today- 6 months later they call again and this time actually name the debtor. I explained what happened and the lady told me that I was wrong and they have already begun the process of garnishing my wages. Well- I know in my state wages can only be garnished through a court hearing if done by anyone but the IRS and require written notice. She told me they would garnish $225 per week because that's what I signed in the contract and she actually said they could do that for up to a year. huh? I hung up on her too- but then I called right back and spoke to someone else. I asked the new lady if she could please send me a copy of the contract that the woman had quoted and she told me they do not have contracts. All they are provided with is my name, number, address, email and the amount of the loan in default, I explained that the loan was not in default and she politely gave me the number of the loan company.

I got a call from these people they said that they did not have to go to court to do a wage assignment (garnishment) because we signed something in the payday loan and  I asked to see the document and the refused to give it to me, I asked for something in writing they said they did not have to because I already signed the documents...Can they really do a wage garnishment without going to court? Does my job have to comply is it is not a court order?

It is deceptive and fraudulent for them to claim they can garnish wages without a court order.
FTC has sued payday lenders and debt collectors who make this type of deceptive claim.

You can find consumer attorneys who may take cases for FDCPA violations on contingency through www.naca.net

Write a letter right now saying you are revoking the wage assignment and give a copy to your employer. A Wage Assignment is not upheld as this is voluntary and was not signed with ink it was online so your employer should not garnish your wages as this is against the law TRS needs a wage garnishment from the court in the county you reside in for a garnishment...hope this helps!

Get an attorney to represent you.

Since FDCPA allows courts to award damages and attorney fees if you win, you can often find attorneys who take these cases on contingency.

You might try www.naca.net to find an attorney in your state.

I told you call Morgan and Morgan for the people google online and get there telephone number. I am suing this company for debt collection harrassment and violation of the telephone recovery act and abuse. My Supervisor told them to stop and they told her No thank God my work loves me or i would have been fired!!! This is against the law. Send them a certified letter in writing telling them not to contact you at work or at home only in writing then ask them to send you a statement proving the debt is yours. Keep records and phone logs of when they call the date and time and the name of the person. This will help and call the State Attorney Generals Office in your state and the Federal Trade Commission!!!

I have been receiving threat calls from a Ms. Wainwright who says I owe money which I do not.  I have faxed to her the paper stating I paid in full and was again qualified for a loan which I do not want or need.  This CRAZY PSYCHO keeps calling me to fax this same paper which I have done and she states she has not received.  Of course she states this because it says I paid in full.  I have contacted an attorney and given them the information and I am going to pursue this in court with a lawsuit on Total Recovery and Ms. Wainwright personally for threats, harrassment and whatever else my attorney suggest.  THIS COMPANY WANTS TO GET MONEY TWICE.  THEY ARE SCAMS AND DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY UNTIL YOU HAVE WRITTEN DOCUTMENTS STATING WHAT YOU OWE OR HAVE PAID.  Contact your attorney as qucik as you can.

No they are not real. They are however very nerve racking.  DO NOT SEND MONEY...I REPEAT DO NOT SEND MONEY ANY MONEY. Best thing I have done so far is to respond like the village idiot. They are calling me at work. Any real collection agency only has to be told once not to call your work again and it is just over. I wish I could offer a better solution. I too am trying to figure out how to stop them.

Got a call today from a local area code, but trs is in Missouri. Jumping numbers is illegal, so is falsely threatening lawsuits Mike.  No mini miranda on the message either. I'll be sure to record my call tonight with them, then sue his boss.
