There are several internet websites which I believe are scamming the public. Those sites are known as TVaddicts.tv, ultimatedvdshop, tvbox, dvd avenue, to name a few. All these are affiliated and called "sister" sites.

I was going to order a dvd set and found large price discrepancies among all these sites for the same item! I tried to call the phone number posted on each of these sites (which by the way is the same number for all of them), and was met with an answering machine no one every picked up, or I was cut off, or I left messages and have sent emails receiving no response at all.

Why would I ever trust these sites enough to order anything from them when they don't even have someone answering their phones? And on top of that their live "customer service" chat person can't even help. I suspect they are in another country since their written English skills seem to be lacking. I don't want some unsuspecting consumer to get burned using these websites.

thanx everyone for your warning posts. I desperately want the Big Valley DVDs - complete series and they seem to be the only company (and their affiliates) offering it...good thing I do my research first. I can not believe that with every freaking government wanting to target pirating they haven't nailed these guys. I guess granny is an easier target.

I ordered a DVD set from them in June 2008 - received it after many "backordered" emails in July.  It's clearly bootleg - and badly done I might add.  All the DVDs are plain white with different fonts and some have the logo, some don't on it.  The emails request for return/refund go unanswered as does the phone number 800-797-1219 as does 886-646-0645.  tvaddicts.tv is a total rip off & scam!!

    Hi Everyone
I was just about to order Love boat, Marcus welby, mcmillan and wife, mccloud, lost in space, and before I order in the shopping cart , I just happened to ask one question before I order which is how come the love boat written has 74 episodes instead of 234 within 10 seasons, so I doubted something so I tried to press on the button (contact us) but it wont work, so I felt fishy, so I went to yahoo and searched for ( tvaddicts and contact ) in case I find an email address, and to my suprise this web site popped out, I really think this is Godsend message to me and by reading all your messages, I felt happy. May God punnish all those hurt and trick innocent victims on the internet. I was before so happy to find all those DVDs on that false website, and hope one day all the wishes of the TV fans will come true to see all those DVDs classics.Regards to all. Nasser

    scamed
This website is a total scam. I ordered from it two or three weeks ago (I was stupid enough to not research the site until after I had already placed an order), and got my order yesterday, of course, a bootleg. I tried contacting them, but their e-mail address and phone number don't work. I also tried reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, but, as the address tvaddicts.tv has listed is also not valid, the BBB said they could not pursue the matter. Today, I found a charge for almost $100 on my Check Card that I did not remember making. I called the bank, they said the charge originated in Canada (which is where tvaddicts.tv is located, though the IP address traces to Ukraine. I'm in Pennsylvania). Fortunately, they said that they can give me provisional credit for now, and reimburse me after their investigation (in a week or two). They also sent me a new Check Card, and put a hold on my current one.

Fortunately, it looks like I won't lose any money, besides the initial $81 that I paid for the DVDs. NO ONE ORDER FROM TVADDICTS.TV OR DVDAVENUE.TV (same site, different web address). IT IS A SCAM, YOU WILL BE SCAMED, YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL BE USED.

I ordered the complete 5 seasons of Ally Mcbeal and recieved 30 DVDs in which only about 5 worked, the others would not play and 1 of the DVDs had episodes of Perry Mason on it. I have tried since then to get a new copy. The first time I called, they said a new copy was on the way. The 2nd call, they said it was no longer available to me and advised me to check all copies of the dvds and call back. I tried but kept getting disconnected. I sent threatening emails with no luck. I finally talked to them on the phone a few months ago and they agreed to refund my money. Has not happened yet and there phone number is disconnected. I doubt I will see my money back.

Well I seem to be the latest in the scam job.  I ordered Dinosaurs TV series for my grandson.  It was supposed to be a six disk set.  My Daughter called after receiving to inform me that 4 of the discs were 2 sets of duplicates, one disk was unreadable and one was Sanford & Son.

To date I have sent three emails that have gone unanswered and the 800 number receives a 'fast busy' signal.

I am most concerned about a previous email stating that account information has possibly been corrupted.

An addendum to my post above...I just discovered two more scam sites. The new ones are:

    dvdmd.tv
    myrareshowsondvd.com

By the way, DO NOT trust Mcafee site advisor. I don't know what's wrong with those people, but they give sites "Green" ratings despite numerous complaints. If you must use them, don't trust that green check mark; scroll down to read any actual complaints that have been logged.

Four new scam sites! They are:

    bestdvdentertainmentonline.com
    dvdglobe.tv
    unforgettableclassicdvd.com
    unforgettabletvshows.com

I'm not certain about this next one, but I would be wary of it:

    shopfantastic.com

    Yet another one:

    mytvshowdvds.com

don't even think about messing with these jerks !  Something told me it was bogus, but I did it anyway.  I called my credit card company just now and luckily I haven't been charged, BUT there's been a few authorizations costing a $1.00 a pop from Apple and Napster charged to my card.  I'm getting a new card and watching any and all activity for the next few days.  BEWARE !!

I am so very glad I found this site and the pertinent info posted here. I was about to order the complete "Sue Thomas, F. B. Eye" series, but since it was not available on Amazon or anywhere else at all, I thought I should dig a little deeper and I am glad I did. Needless to say, I'll spread the word.

Well, like multiple people on this complaint site, they got me too. I ordered Coach and actually the charges were fine and I received them in a timely manner. The problem is that it was shipped from Chins, and you could tell it was homemade with burned DVDs that my DVD player and many others will not play more than 3min before skipping. Such a problem and extremely frustrating since it was a Christmas gift. Don't order from these people!

As always you should stick with reputable companies (Amazon.com is a good one I always deal with), do your research before comitting to buy (company name + complaints will bring up some research) and remember if it's too good to be true it usually is.  I worked for over 10 years at Money Mart (loans, check cashing, western union) and the one thing we learned quickly was not to trust anyone. I've seen way too much scamming to not fully question anything I see anymore.

Thank you very much indeed for this site! I was about to order "The Defenders" Seasons 1-5. I couldn't get the 'buy now' button to work; it had no hyperlink properties, so I emailed them, and they replied but it still wasn't very clear, so I googled them, with the intention of going back on their site, but thank God your site appeared almost directly under theirs!! I'm so very very sorry for all of you who have been scammed and lost money and been stressed over it, but if it's even the teeniest bit of consolation, You've save many from the same fate.
