I ordered a window size shower curtain but received a full size one instead. They have a return policy that makes the customer pay return shipping and restocking fee. When I emailed them to explain that it was their fault for sending the wrong item, they never replied. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they sent a reply saying that BedBathStore.com had rectified the situation. BedBathStore.com never contacted me with any kind of response so I told the BBB to keep pressing the complaint. A few weeks later the BBB contacted me again to let me know that BedBathStore.com had assured them that the situation was resolved. Once again BedBathStore.com never contacted me. It is clear that BedBathStore is lying to the BBB and will never resolve this matter.

    bedbathstore, the absolute worst,  Don't buy a thing from them.  I contacted my credit card co. they took the charge off my bill since I never receice my merchandise, and will deal directly with this dishonorable bunch.  Contest your charge and shop elsewhere.

    Ordered $349 sheets and they shipped me the wrong ones. No way to speak with a live person as all customer service calls go to voice mail. No response to email either. I will be reversing the charge with my credit card company, and have shipped back the wrong sheets, insured & signature required. NEVER do business with this company. Check out all the complaints on the internet. There is something badly wrong here. AVOID BEDBATHSTORE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

    Ordered a twin and full size comforter for son's bunk beds for Christmas.  Credit card was charged but never received full size.  Later found out after numerous phone calls to bedbathstore that the full size had been discontinued.  I returned the twin comforter and to this day the amount for both items has not been refunded to my credit card.  I have the signature from the post office where they received the comforter on Dec. 11, 2008.  Do not do business with this shady business.

    I ordered 2 eyelet bedskirts for my grand-daughters who live in another state.  When my daughter placed the bed skirt ruffles on her daughters' beds, the eyelet ruffles IMMEDIATELY separated from the platform due to poor stitching.  My daughter called customer service and they said she has to have ALL of the packaging in order for me to get a FULL refund. Plus they wanted to charge her return shipping and a 10% restocking fee. I called them and reported the items as defective, so they are going to send my daughter a prepaid UPS return label.  However, if they do not accept whatever packaging my daughter has left, I will dispute the charge.  I believe, their requirement of ALL original packing for returns is just an under-handed way of rejecting returns. I will NEVER order from them again! BUYER BEWARE! Cheaply made products and an almost IMPOSSIBLE returns policy!

    I too received the wrong size curtain. Also the wrong color shower curtain liner. The material on the window curtain was also wrong. I should have read the complaints before ordering. Do not do business with this company.

    I had ordered some furniture throws back in March 2009.  They of course charged my credit card immediately which I thought was strange.  I had been corresponding with a Emmalyn through email and she told me my items were backordered and it'd be sometime mid to late April before manufacturer would be caught up with the backorders.  I contacted her again and she asked if I'd like a different color or I can cancel my order.  I told her I'd wait a little longer for the colors I wanted.  Well, I contacted her in May and told her that I had tried to pretend to order the same things and noticed it didn't tell me those items were not in stock.  She never responded so I emailed directly to BedBathStore.  Their response was to change the status to "Will ship within 24 hrs".  Well, it's been way over 24 hrs now.  So I just emailed them again.  Never had a problem with a company like this.  It's ridiculous.  If items aren't in stock, then don't let people order them, or at least tell them so they are aware and also never charge peoples credit cards til items are shipped.

    I should have done my homework and looked into this company BEFORE placing my order!

    I ordered 132.00 worth of kitchen curtains. They did not match my kitchen decor.

    I followed the instructions for returning the items.

    Was NOT told of the 10 percent re-stocking fee when I was ordering!

    Countless calls and e-mails to the company with NO response!

    I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

    This company is ripping people off!

    I ordered kitchen curtains and valance on 5/21/09.  I got a response back that they place their orders very quickly and I had little time to change my mind about the order.  I received another email later in the day to say the items would be shipped in 2-3 weeks.  The following week I got an email from Melanie who said one of the items were out of stock.  They were receiving shipments in 4-7 days.  They could recommend/suggest replacements.  I indicated in a return email, I did not want any replacement.  They billed my credit card company immediately which is strange since most places bill once the item(s)ships.  After about 10 days I wrote Melanie re: the status of the order - there has been no reply.  Two days ago I called the 866-640-2400 number, got only voice mail, left a message re: the status and there has been no return phone call.  I should have read the reviews before ordering from this company.  I'm going to contact my credit card company about reversing the charges.  This is not a reputable company!!

    I agree bedbathstore.com is the WORST!I ordered some pinched pleat drapes (2 pairs) $100.00, got the order confirmation via email, but 2 weeks went by, called in the AM & was notified they were on back order. Their customer service is impossible to get a hold of. I sent emails-never got a reply. Tried calling, left messages, finally after 2 hrs of non-stop redial I got a human & was so upset by that time I cancelled my order. She said I would get an email confirmation on my cancel order-never did. I paid by PayPal, suppose to get my refund in 72 hrs-we will see. However I don't think my battle with them is through! SAVE YOURSELF TIME & MONEY & SHOP ELSEWHERE- otherwise you can say "Marilyn told me so"!

    Worst customer service ever seen.  It took 9 days for them to shipped and then I have to wait for an extra 5 days for UPS to process.  Meanwhile I've been trying to cancel the order because it was too late for my renovation project and they respond to me that they can't cancel order that are shipped the same day that they ship the goods...

    WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY RETURN EMAILS OR TELEPHONE CALLS. EVERYBODY, DO NOT FRET, MY BROTHER IS A JUDGE, NOT TOO FAR FROM BEDBATHSTORE AND HE IS VERY STRICT AND BY THE BOOK, ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE ARE GETTING SCREWED BY THESE BIG AND DISHONEST COMPANIES. HE KNOWS AS THE REST OF US DO TOO, MONEY IS TIGHT AT THIS POINT AND I HAVE ASKED HIM TO LOOK UP ALL THESE COMPLAINTS AND HAUL THEIR BUTTS INTO COURT AND/OR SHUT THEM DOWN. END OF STORY.

    Another Dissatisfied Customer
    Looks like I'm in the same boat as some of you.  I ordered 2 sets of curtains, only received one - have repeated left voicemail messages with no response.  I'm not even going to try any more - I'm contacting my credit card company and disputing the charge.  THANK YOU "ask the judge" for doing that for all of us who've been ripped off by this stupid company!

    I ordered a white wicker basket that I receieved damaged from this company. I constantly left messages on the customer service voicemail for several weeks for someone to return my call (nobody did), as well as talking to someone from the purchasing department who said that they will have a customer service person call me (never did). I finally got through to someone who told me that in order to deem this product a damage I need to email a picture of it to them so it can be looked at. Has anyone ever heard of a company requesting this!!! I went ahead and did that and sent the item back. It clearly was damaged on the base of the basket (wicker coming apart). Well, when I emailed the customer service rep. Emmalyn to check on the status of the return she never returned my emails (sent atleast 3 of them to her). Finally got through to a rep. named Susan today who told me that the company says it is NOT damaged, although it clearly is, but will refund me the full amount anyway. In order to get the ball rolling on this whole problem I had to let the company know I will dispute this with my credit card company if need be. Has anyone heard of a fiasco like this over a purchase of approx $30? Horrible company-I advise anyone who reads this never to order from them.

    Looks like I will be adding my complaint to yours.  Ordered a shower curtain on 7/16/2009.  As of August 4 still have not received.  Called twice and e-mnailed twice with no response, and cannot reach a live person..  I'll be following up next with PayPal to have my $$'s recredited.

    I too ordered bed skirts and had to return them .  Did not fit the beds.I followed the return policy and have not yet heard from them.  I emailed Emmalynne and have not heard anything back from the company either.  I have called multiple times and cannot reach a person.  I will neverpurchase from this company ever again.

    I usually do my homework before ordering online, but I would have saved myself a lot of aggravation if I had seen this post... Same story..
    Ordered a product that wasn't right, returned the product, no credit issued.  What a sham operation this is.

    Same story here - I received part of my order, a shower curtain that in real life was a much different color than in the picture, so I returned it while awaiting the rest of my order, which they told me via email was backordered, although on the computer it looked like they had shipped it to me.  I paid through PayPal, and I finally got fed up with waiting on this backorder, as it was approaching 2 months.  I didn't know that PayPal has a 45 day complaint window, because I have never had a problem with a company before.  I have not received credit for my return, no backordered merchandise has shown up, and BBS no longer answers my emails.  Don't know what else I can do.  I wish I had checked into this company B4 I bought anything.  I will do that faithfully in the future.  How can they possibly be allowed to rip off so many people and continue to operate their business???
