I ordered a window size shower curtain but received a full size one instead. They have a return policy that makes the customer pay return shipping and restocking fee. When I emailed them to explain that it was their fault for sending the wrong item, they never replied. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they sent a reply saying that BedBathStore.com had rectified the situation. BedBathStore.com never contacted me with any kind of response so I told the BBB to keep pressing the complaint. A few weeks later the BBB contacted me again to let me know that BedBathStore.com had assured them that the situation was resolved. Once again BedBathStore.com never contacted me. It is clear that BedBathStore is lying to the BBB and will never resolve this matter.

    Well all ,I thought I was alone.
    Just like you all I tried to call the customer service number only to find out that the number could not be connected.???? new I was in trouble.
    Ordered curtains for front livingroom window,cost $300.,only to have the wrong curtain style sent and the tie backs had no button hole to hook.
    Something needs to be done. Consumer Beware.

    To ensure that bedbathstore.com sends you your merchandise. Send an email to them stating that if you don't receive what you ordered in the time period they said you'd receive it, then you will not hesitate to file a law suit. I did that after reading the horrible reviews and three days later, I received exactly what I ordered!

    My experience with BedBathStore was the MOST DISASTROUS I have ever had on line.  First of all, their shipping is ridiculously slow...2 weeks for delivery.  I returned merchandise after a couple days.  A week later I received confirmation that the return had been received and that it would take a MONTH to process return!  I emailed the company several times and the refund was always being processed.  FINALLY, after nearly 2 MONTHS of waiting for my refund it's finally being processed by them.  I also have never ordered something on line and been charged a fee for a return.  I would NEVER order from them again, nor would I recommend this site to my worst enemy.  Sorry, but I have nothing positive to say about my experience at all.

    I was glad I found all these complaints BEFORE I ordered my curtains. I was happy I found them, but am even Happier that I read all these complaints. Thanks for the heads up on them.

    bedbathstore...This is the WORST online store to deal with when making a return. I have been trying for about 1 month to find out when I'll receive credit for an item that they received back from me on April 19, 2010. I called after the published 30 day period it should take to receive a refund. I called again today almost 60 days after they received the merchandise and the request for a refund and I'm STILL getting the run-around. I escalated my request for a refund to a "supervisor" who conveniently wasn't at her phone so I left a voice mail.  We'll see if the indeed get an actual supervisor and if I ever receive a credit for the very poor quality bedding I ordered.  Please don't purchase from this store unless you: a) don't care about the quality, b) don't care about wasting $ you may never see again, and c) are not interested in receiving high quality customer service.

    The customer service operators are of NO help whatsoever.

    YOUR COMPANY SUCKS - NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY- THEY CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE OF 10%.  I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WILL EXPOSE THEM TO EVERYONE I KNOW.

    Ordered what I thought were drapes; my mistake that it was one panel and too short. I was going to exchange the one drape for two drapes in a longer size ... Shipping charge to me was $9.99 for one drape. I sent the one drape back at my expense priority mail for $8. They will not exchange items because they want the 10% restocking fee. I was told my refund was being "processed" ... that was over a month ago. Still waiting for refund. I paid with my Visa.

    I was just about to place a sizeable order with BedBathStore; then I googled them and found this page.
    Incredible litany of problems here.  Just wanted to say thank you to all of you for saving me some grief.  
    BedBathStore's "responses" here are pitiful; almost comical.  I hope the BBB applies some pressure and you all get your money back.  
    I'll be shopping elsewhere.

    This store is not a real store. They don't have inventory in stock, they wait till you order and then order form the distributors. The owner is a nasty, fat, greasy haired moron, that is so cocky and full of himself whoi constantly laughs at the "poor suckers who make him rich" (as he calls his customers)DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
