Odds are the charges are for some "automatic renewal" of an anti-virus product.  There are many similar complaints, either due to inadequate disclosure of their "autorenew" terms, errors in billing, or fraudulent use of stolen credit card numbers to anonymously buy these electronic downloads.  Electronic purchases are also sometimes used by credit card thieves to "ping" or verify that stolen credit card numbers are still valid before they use them for more substantial charges.

Dispute unauthorized charges directly through your credit card company.

Attempting to dispute an unauthorized or fraudulent charge with the meerchant cannot be depended on to resolve this issue, and may result in no recourse if you let them run out the 60 day dispute window under FRB Reg. E or FCBA, which is measured from the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges.

Only disputing through your bank will preserve your federal dispute rights.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address, mailed certified for proof of timely dispute, and be sure to close the account or block the card number to prevent future unauthorized charges.

Your bank can reverse unauthorized charges if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E for EFT or debit card charges, or under FCBA for credit card charges.

I just found a charge on my debit card from this company where I did not authorize a renewal of my anti-virus coverage.  My charge was for $76.99.  I phoned my bank and filed a claim.  They credited my account for the amount taken out.

My husband was invoiced $55.00 by Dri*trend Micro Orderfind.com. We bought a notebook last year. Trend Micro came with it but I uninstalled it immediately and subscribed to McAfee.

Neither my husband nor myself were told that we had to pay a charge for this. I just called my bank to dispute the unauthorized charge.

We were charged $68 for software we have never used and were not even aware existed. We called the back to dispute the claim then after tedious searching found a number to contact the company. When we got on the phone with a support tech the only way they will reverse charges is if you allow them remote access from where ever they are to your computer.....

Dri Trend....Trend Micro is a software virus program offered through Best Buy, when you buy a computer there it is already loaded.

Our office had a charge from Dri*Trend Micro OrderFind.com and after being transferred twice, I found out that by "default" the company renews your application without your approval, which is ridiculous. The agent was very nice and spoke with the manager who agreed to refund this charge and cancel our "membership" with them. By the way, the number to call is 800-864-6027

Good info.!!!  I was also incorrectly charged without being notified first of a renewal.  I changed to a different
provider over a year ago and did not renew at that time with Trend Micro.  I used the phone # provided by K
shown above (1-800-864-6027) and it took me right to customer service.  After explaining my situation and a bit
of a wait, I was assured that the error would be rectified and my account would be corrected.

Thank you Ray!  I also called (800-864-6027) to get the service turned off and credit card credited $76.27.  The woman at this number was very nice.  My blind 90 year old father no longer uses the computer but the charge came through on his credit card. No problem getting it resolved.

Like the others, I was charged by Dri*Trend micro. However it was on a credit card that is never used for purchases of this nature. I don't know how they associated my pc purchase with the credit card. You would think that email notify would be required prior to the charge.
