      to me

Right now I'm stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, doing a special training and getting ready for my deployment. Before leaving I had prearranged the deal with eBay(using this service you will get a 7 days to inspect/test the trailer before I'll get any money.) so my presence isn't necessary. I think I can have it there at your home address within 2-3 working days. The shipping fees are included the final price. So, you'll get the trailer for $1,000, without any additional costs involved.
I am overwhelmed with the amount of work and I just finished all arrangements for my family prior to deployment. For the moment the trailer is the last thing left to do. So, in order to start the deal, I need your full name and delivery address so I can reserve the trailer for you and register the transaction with eBay and they will contact you with all the instructions step by step on how to complete the deal.

Same here. Still at it as of 3 months ago. I knew it was a scam, but played along for awhile anyway. Can't help but wonder how many have been duped.

In the market for a dump trailer and came across the same "flight attendant", only the divorce is final. The $1000.00 price tag for the trailer was the give away that I was dealing with fraud.

And they are still doing it!
I got same email message except they said I had 5 days to inspect vehicle.
Ebay does not contact people with deal arrangements!

If you didn't buy or win it on the eBay site, they have nothing whatever to do with it!

"She" is still at it but, for us, going by the name of Patricia Delp.  Same crap, different day.  Husband recently passed away (2 months ago), bad memories, moved (Omaha, NE), new job, etc., etc.  It was when she replied to one of my husband's emails that she would pay for shipping (this is for a 2013 Travel Trailer, mint condition for $2413.00) but would need $1000 down and we would have 5 days to inspect it although it had originally been about 30 minutes from where we live according to the Craigslist map.  "She" said we would receive an email from Ebay Motors with invoice, TOC's, title transfer, etc and to check our spam folder as sometimes the email is flagged.  I am a long time Ebay seller and buyer, over 15 years and know that Ebay NEVER privately emails a buyer to complete a transaction.  I have sold on Ebay Motors and know this to be true as well.  That was the red flag as well as send the $1000 down in Ebay gift cards.  What??  Busted.  Reported to the FTC, Ebay and Omaha, NE police.

I've seen several variations of the same. I've pretended to be a buyer and they NEVER have the trailer available. Kinda surprised craigslist is not more on top of this. I guess it's not their problem.
