Several months ago my family and I attended a home show in Maine.  We filled out an entry form for a I believe it was a Lowes card.  The guy at the booth we remember because he was dirty looking, had a huge belly, a moustache, and rotting teeth. He said he worked for Lowes when we asked him. Since about two or three days after we filled out the entry form we have been called by about half dozen vacation company's, several window company's, and assorted other home improvement company's.  Was emptying out my pocketbook yesterday and found one of their entry forms.  I do remember the filthy man telling us one entry per family, so I guess I had started to fill out form then threw it in pocketbook and forgot about it.  On the back of the entry it says JC Swain Enterprise.  Why is this company selling my information, and why did that filthy man lie?

Same here - the Home show in Bangor in 2014. They've persisted in calling, but I have no interest in talking to them. Had I known we wouldn't have any chance of actually winning a card, no way in hell I'd have filled out the form. I think it's vile that Lowe's is allowed to misrepresent themselves like this, and I won't be shopping them at any time.

same thing is happening to me now. My husband and I recently when to the home show in Hartford and filled out a Lowes contest form and now we are getting calls from this J C Swain company telling us that we have won 4 plane tickets to anywhere but we have to attend a two hour talk about time shares.
lesson learned. we all need to be very careful. but honestly I would think Lowes would never sell out info

My fiancé  and I went to the Tradewinds resort in Rockland and attended the two hour time share presentation. We received a piece of paper saying the tickets will be mailed in 7 to 10 days. The 3 day two night vacation getaway said that we are under a contract and have to do several steps to cancel the contract. We never signed the contract. Google "reviews for RCI". They are the company that they set you up to talk to. DONT GO!!!!!! DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. It is all a scam .

Now they are using Home Depot as their disguise at home shows. The Portland Maine one they even were wearing a Home Depot apron & the booth said win a $500 Home Depot gift card. It's bull cause now they are calling me to claim other "gifts". I didn't sign up for other gifts & never would have filled out anything had I known it was not a Home Depot booth! Scumbags.

On the back of the registration form there is a disclaimer and people need to read it otherwise you'll be believing it's a scam but it's not. Nothing is hidden or a lie. It's a promotional gift you'll receive from going to the resort to see what they have to offer by way of Timeshare. No one is falsely representing anyone. Mike is like a "brand ambassador" in that he represents several resorts. He has done nothing illegal.
