Several months ago my family and I attended a home show in Maine.  We filled out an entry form for a I believe it was a Lowes card.  The guy at the booth we remember because he was dirty looking, had a huge belly, a moustache, and rotting teeth. He said he worked for Lowes when we asked him. Since about two or three days after we filled out the entry form we have been called by about half dozen vacation company's, several window company's, and assorted other home improvement company's.  Was emptying out my pocketbook yesterday and found one of their entry forms.  I do remember the filthy man telling us one entry per family, so I guess I had started to fill out form then threw it in pocketbook and forgot about it.  On the back of the entry it says JC Swain Enterprise.  Why is this company selling my information, and why did that filthy man lie?

We just got a call from them and were asked to go to the Wyndham Resort for a presentation and at the end we get the 4 airline tickets. Reading Eric's comment, we are hesitant of going.

Please please don't go. I used to work for this company. I absolutely hated working there because I felt disgusted being fake over the phone and practically lying to people. These "free" gifts are not free. There's airline taxes and you have to pay and stay at a hotel you pick from a list for a minimum of 5 days (supposedly you're getting the best deals at those hotels but you're really not). I wish I would have done my research before becoming an employee there. The people that work there are very very bad too. Laconia, NH is well known for it's issue with drugs. The majority of people that worked there were drug addicts. All you had to be able to do is read a script (which is what we pitch to you over the phone) and BOOM they're hired. There's no additional skills or qualifications which ultimately resulted in druggies getting a quick job to support their habit. That being said, there are some elderly people that work there as a second job, so not every representative is a loser. But the good majority of them are. The owner and founder of JCS has a drug problem too, which we got arrested and charged for back in 2014. We were also being audited when I was employed there. They gave us a new script to put in our binders (which has the script we use among other things such as dates for certain resorts etc.) They told us that we would be reading the fake script if the auditor shows up and if they ask what our script was we would show them the fake script. So technically, the company encouraged us to go along with it just to get a good review from the BBB. I quit shortly after the auditor came. I was so uncomfortable practically lying to the people I called. A lot of them got wicked excited but there's an income qualification and they have to bring two forms of ID to the presentation, one has to be a major credit card. Nothing is free in life. And this is one of the biggest scams that are forcing people to attend a timeshare presentation for airline tickets that are "free" when in reality they will just pressure you to buy a timeshare. Please warn others of the unethical practices of this business, because quite frankly not only the owner and the majority of the employees are complete scum, they don't care about if you, all they want is for you to show up to the presentation because that's the only way they get the commission (we were paid 7.50 plus commission for each individual that we booked that showed up to the presentation). I am so happy that I quit. Their practices are unethical. Plus these people that are saying it's not a scam are most likely idiots from the company.

Thank you! I am now working in a department store. Retail is hard work but I love actually helping people and putting smiles on their faces rather than scamming them and making them disappointed.

I am so glad I read your post! I was just on Indeed and saw the job posting from JCS. This is what their job posting says: "Do you want to take control of your income? Come join our newly located notification center at 78 Regional Drive in Concord. We have 3 day time postions and 3 evening appointment setting positions currently available! No experience needed! Paid training! No sales, no cold calls! Must be literate and dependable. Hourly rate or commission available and reps on commission earn an average of $21 per hour, plus daily intensives! We have been providing full time employment to NH residents for the last 8 years."  I was thinking this didn't sound too bad, until I Googled them and stumbled upon your post... I'd rather keep taking angry discount furniture customer calls than work for a company like that!!! THANKS!!!!

You're very welcome! And even their job advertisement is bull. You do not earn $21 an hour plus commission or incentives. It's 9 bucks and hour plus commision per person that showed up the appointments you booked. Such a shady company.

You do get the 4 tickets and they also gave me and my wife a 100 dollar gift card to go out to eat . It's the ignorant people that are bitching about this deal. Obviously we know it's a time share tour and presentation but for almost 5 grand in free airfare plus a 100 or 50 dollar visa prepaid dining dough card..it was worth it for us. Just gotta know what your getting into . The people at the resort were super nice and they didn't pressure us to buy. Obiously suggested the reasons we should buy but it was well banaced and my jcs rep from concord new hampshire was very clear and articulate about what I should expect and how it all works. Needless to say he did not lie. Ext 364

I received the same call with the promise of $4500 free cruise tickets. The agent told me I should show up in some hotel in Atlantic City to pick up my promotion. There is a saying, "when something his too good to be true, it is too good to be true". Thanks for your comments. It saved my time and headache.

So I work for these guys and I've been lookinginto what it is that I actually do. Many people have been rude over the phone, and I'm starting to feel like a scam artist.  However if you don't want  to be placed on a call list, why would you sign up for anything in the first place? It's stated  in the fine print found on the back of the forms. So if you don'twant a call, don't enter in hopes of winning a free car! Duh!
