bad internet shopping experience

I am an avid internet shopper. I ordered running shoes from ZBsports.com (AKA Zanzabarbazaar.com) in August. The shoes came but did not fit. I returned them, but the package was "rejected" and ended up back at my door.

I checked their website and it instructed me to call for approval of my return. Shame on me for not checking first, so I called the number a few times with no answer. I finally left a voicemail which was returned that night. I was given my RA number and resent the shoes back to the Philadelphia address. Both times they were sent first class with Delivery Confirmation.

The return was not accepted and the box was returned yet again to me. This is my first bad internet shopping experience.

I caution anyone using this website.

    I myself recently had to return a pair of Keen shoes because they bothered my back. I spoke to CS and he said the shoes could be returned for a credit on my credit card as could not find anything to exchange them for. Upon ZB's receipt for the merchandise, I was emailed that I had a store credit. I have since emailed as well as called and I am receiving no response. I do all my shopping online and found ZB to be the absolute worse company to deal with them. Pass the word... don't buy anything from zb sports.

    sorry to pass along the bad news, but I ordered something from zbsports in december and it took a month to arrive.  I called the company and they said they had to get the item from the manufacturer.  it showed that it was in stock on their website.  they also didn't let me know this when I purchased it.....  sounds like they may not have enough capital to float this company.

    I bought an arcteryx jacket at Zb sports again same thing they wouldn't exchange a size medium for a large which they had in stock. Don't do business with ZB, they don'ty stand in back of anything.

    zbsport is a 2 person company, they are running cut throat buisness, the transform customer service to lower profit. i had experience ordering serveral shirts from them, they refuse to give return authorization because they claim to be non-stock item (they order from manuf). their conversation is always argument, defending and nasty type, not service type. they should not in this buisness. this is my bad experience from zbsport or Zanzabarbazaar !

    I just ordered a pair of Oakley sunglasses.  They advertised free overnight shipping.  The package just arrived on time.  Only problem is the sunglasses are missing.  There were no sunglasses in the case.  I am reporting this ot the better business bureau.

    I ordered 2 pairs of Keens 7/1 and still have not arrived. Bad, Bad experienced. Will never purchase or recommend purchase from ZB sports. Terrible, terrible service.  Never again.

    It's been three  weeks, still no sign of my order.  Was saupposed to be a present , won't be here in time now !!!!

    I am a HUGE fan of internet shopping, and I am willing to give most retailers a chance. However, I haven't even received my shoes ("For "Free Overnight Shipped" items please allow 24-48 business hours for your order to process and ship.") that I ordered it over a week ago, and I know I will NEVER shop at zbsports.com again.

    Apparently 24-48 hours means that's how long it takes them to call the supplier and then you might have it shipped 10-14 days after that. I wouldn't normally mind the long wait as long as the retailer is up front with me, but I don't know what math they do to get 24-48 hours to equal 2 weeks.

    Ordered a Cloudveil Zero G jacket from these guys which I received in a timely manner but it did not have the features as advertised, not even close. Called and got some B.S. about them using Cloudveil info for their web site. Sent it back and got a store credit for $10 less than the price I paid for the jacket. Don't order anything from these hood-winkers!!!

    oh no...wish i would have read all of this before I placed my oder!  Hopefully I will have better service...keeping my fingers crossed!

    I didn't realize that my experience might have been the same as others.  
    I placed an order for a winter coat and wasted over 5 weeks before they stated the coat is no longer available.  First, the color was not available, then they will have to order it from the manufacturer, and finally, the manufacturer has no more available until the Spring.... Thanks Zbsports.com.  
    Up yours and beyond.

    Wished I would have read all of these before I placed an order that I needed to return because I ordered the wrong size Keen's.  What a horrific pain in the [***]!  You need to first call the company to get an authorization # before they will accept it.  Good luck finding their phone # and then good luck having someone return your call.  Once I finally did get my RA# I returned them and they called stating I returned them to the"wrong store and why did I do that??"  I did it because that is the address that was printed on the order sheet to begin with.  I doubt I will ever see a credit or anything.  They claim they will e-mail me with info. ....we'll see,  I can probably kiss my money good-bye.

    I've been ordering from them for years without any issues. I'm placing an order today but u've all  got me concerned. The items I'm ordering I need within a week for a ski trip.

    I've talked to their customer service staff before and always been very happy.

    Well well, at least I am not alone.  

    I ordered a Mountain Hardware jacket (took over 2 weeks to show up) and it turned up with a broken tab pull.  Called to get an RA, shipped it back and it took almost 2 weeks to get the credit.  

    Now they refuse to refund me the shipping costs back to them for a defective product.  Said I should have told them that when I asked for the RA.

    Thought I was saving $, burned at least 2 hours of time phoning, emailing, etc.

    Avoid ZB!

    All i needed was communication. Ordered on a Saturday didnt expeect item to ship till monday or tuesday. By Thursday and 2 emails 10 phone calls finally got a live person to cancel my order because the shoes had not shipped. Now their site shows it shipped! We will see what happens. will order elsewhere next time.

    I too ordered a pair of running shoes from ZBsports and waited over a month and still haven't received the shoes.  Since I had to buy a cheaper pair and suck it up that I was ripped off $125.00:(  I would strongly urge everyone to use another reseller.

    Had the same experience.  We orderd 4 pairs of shoes, they shipped them out ALL seperate, which means 4 seperate shipping charges, and its been a MONTH since I ordered my sneakers and they are yet to arrive.  Then they call 3 days after sending me an email that they were finally sent out and they never sent them. I told the lady we've been customers since forever and we werent using them anymore. They could have cared less.  STAY AWAY FROM ZB SPORTS !!!!!!!!

    Yikes!  No wonder I have not received my order i placed about 10 days ago.I was beginning to wonder since  I Placed an order from Backcountry on Friday 7/10 evening , had the package MON, 7/13 and Sierra Trading, Sat. 7/11 ARRIVED TUES.7/14 they both  have great service.  Thanks for the info, now I know what to look out for! I will stay away from now on. I always shop internet first, never had an issue.   Guess I should expect my sandals just in time for the snow to fly..if I am lucky!
