I paid $32 to sign up for lifetime membership to legally download music at MusicForMembers.com.

After the registration I was asked to download an install their program. Upon running it I discovered that this program is Limewire. They have no mention of this on their website, and I could download limewire for free if I wanted to.

I went to see if they already charged my credit card and saw that they charged me $47 instead of $32 ($15 extra)! I wrote to them requesting my money back but received no reply. I want to cancel my account as soon as possible with this fraud company but don't know how. Any suggestions?

    I logged on to what I thought was Limewire to renew my LimewirePro membership and ended up paying over 40 Euro, is there anything I can do to get my money back.  I live in Ireland.

      Call your bank and tell them it was a scam to take your money that you need to dispute the transaction. Tell them you didn't get what you paid for. Tell them nothing worked as they said it would. The bank will give you your money back after 30 days of the transaction from lime wire. Everyone needs to do the same that has been scammed by these people. Your bank will open an investigation on them and eventually if enough people calls there banks complaining the Feds will take them down.

    my girlfriend and i purchased limewire last night and it was working fine after she sent a message to you all about it and know it's messed up again. we were charged 23 dollars and some change for it. i tried to access where it says what email did you purchase limewire from, i used both of our email addresses and it says that there was no file by those addresses. i called my credit card and they verified that a transaction was made to limewire. what can you do? meanwhile i'm going to track that transaction that was made.

    I, too logged on to what I thought was Limewire and when I processed payment it came back as $73.23.  I tried to find a place to cancel but there wasn't a place to cancel. I wrote to Limewire thinking that WAS Limewire and someone wrote me back that there was no need to cancel as it was a onetime fee of $18.88.  I said that was okay. Now I find out it was "MUSICFORMEMBERS" and my credit card is charged $73.23...any one have a contact for this fraud outfit?

    I signed up to musicformembers lifetime unlimited access, cost to be £17:88 GBP (pounds sterling). The company took that plus a further £11:88 for NetspyProtector option which I had not requested, I let that ride. However the music download facility fails to produce results. I am very cross. Does anyone out there know of any postal or contract address for this company, plus the real company name; if so I would be so pleased to receive it.

    i all so signed up to musicformembers.com they took out 37.00 pounds and i could not go into there system which is total nonsence i would like my money back as this is fraud and if nothing is done i will be going to the police

    I also downloaded music for members and paid what I thought was only 26.98 but was charged 41.00.  I never was able to download any kind of music at all.  Stupidly I just have read all the other complaints.  This so called company needs to be shut down!!  Someone please help in doing so.

    downloaded a scam thoght it was a 2.00 thing and I receive a comfirmation for a mewmbership and some other fee and no way to get back and CANCEL!

    Purchased the program and skipped the "add-On Options", but when I got the bill, it had incorrectly added (without my permission) "NetSpyProtector Option - Protect yourself from malware for a total of 19.95 $ USD"

    Turns out this additional feature, which i did not want, gives you the ability to click a hyperlink that takes you to Free Software from AdAware, Free Softwware from Google Toolbar Pop-Up Blocker, and some other freely available tools on the internet.

    So not only did they charge me without my permissions, the item I got was the ability to get something I can get freely anyway. Then, on-top of that, the primary application you were there to get is actually another freely available application called LimeWire without the Brand Name on it.

    The support links on their site do not work, and there is no contact information available.

    Avoid this massively fraudulent shindig at all costs. They are hosted on GoDaddy - which I am going to report this to them as a scam hosted on their servers.

    I was trying to register 01-Mp3search but somehow I have purchased at the cost of €42.78 musicformembers which appears to be a music sharing program like Kazaa which I most definately don't want. I immediatly contacted my credit card company to try to stop payment and they have given me this telephone number 18884486889 which I called but was informed by a recorded message that the office will be open at 9:00 Eastern standard Time. I will be calling this number on Monday!

    hey i purchased the 2year trial for 99 cents a month but they charged me 64 dollars for something i didnt purchased so i want my money back i want to cancel it and also it keep telling me to download.

    I've been using this service for 2 years now. Never had any problems ans continue to download every month. I understand the about the over payment. it hasn't been done to me, but that was 2 yrs ago. i've spoken to them over the phone on several occasions and i'm giving you the number.     contains Worms and Trojan Horses. Something is rotten here!!!

    At the beginning of the year I downloaded what I thought to be Limewire and when I ran the installation programme the icon that appeared on my computer was "Pro360".  I recently had to have my computer updated and everything had been wiped off, also I recently changed server and also have another e-mail address.  I was just about to reinstall it again and wondered if this was worth doing.  At the time in January I paid £23.76 and for the time that I was with them I never had any problems.  Now I have read some of the comments I wondered whether to bother or not.

    No one answers the 800# during normal hours; I was kept on hold for 15 minutes, then dropped. The email complaints are also fake. This Limewire gang should be prosecuted. These cutthroats have robbed me of a $65 package: I only got 2 months out of a 2 year prepaid sub. This is my only bad online experience in 4 years. I have to track these thugs down; I owe it to the self-respect and honesty of all US citizens..we have to bring these shameless robbers to justice!
