I paid $32 to sign up for lifetime membership to legally download music at MusicForMembers.com.

After the registration I was asked to download an install their program. Upon running it I discovered that this program is Limewire. They have no mention of this on their website, and I could download limewire for free if I wanted to.

I went to see if they already charged my credit card and saw that they charged me $47 instead of $32 ($15 extra)! I wrote to them requesting my money back but received no reply. I want to cancel my account as soon as possible with this fraud company but don't know how. Any suggestions?

    I did the same thing a $29 bill turned to $54 and no way to back out I didn't even sign their agreement. Report to better buis is probable a waste of time, this CO., could be anywhere in the world

    Same thing happened to me. They charged my credit card $60.24, which I cannot afford. What a scam and no way to reach them to cancel! What a crock

    Wow. I never seen so many complaints.Guess Im another one.I hate this life.I paid got to down load 4 songs and now my computer wont stop playing television commercials. Cant find the program thats doing it.
          To make matters worse I cant find where the heck to download any songs are.Lol.So basically I paid 40 bucks for some free TV commercials I guess.
         If I knew how Ide drop a virus in there lap that would eat there guts from the inside out.Unfortunately I just like music.Today you need to be a laywer AND a computer expert     I suppose Ill have to take my computer to the shop. How much that will cost I have no idea. But I do know how much hassle in my life Ive got. About 2 thousand five hundred and fortynine dollers worth.That should cover the medical anyway.glhf stupidos

    I too downloaded the "lifetime member" app. but it cost me $67.00! couldn't undo my request and was forced into accepting the b.s. cost. then my computer crashed and I cant reinstall my lifetime membership without paying all over again! Limewire is a scam and if there was a way to cancel I would in a heartbeat. If anyone knows contact me at tyggercr@hotmail.com plz

    I don't want the service that I agreed to for the next two years.I would like all of my money back from the service. I counld not get the website to even work so please put my money back on my card before I report this .

    I had to uninstall my 360share Pro and now i am unable to reinstall it. I had pad for a lifetime for $32.00. My username is shislerbm@embarqmail.com and My Order # is 046199090613173151107 please help me get this reinstalled.

    and i did not get limewire i got software frommalware

    I'm really sorry to hear your bad news! but the fact is that has happened to me.i have tried emailing them and asking them for a refund or contact number,i have had no reply! instead i got an email from LIMEWIRE themselves saying they haven't got such an account and that i need to go onto the offial website if i want to purchase the software.That teaches me never to purchase or to use my debit card again online.

    Hi there all you disgruntled supposedly customers of "LIMEWIRE" I too have been caught up in the limewire scam. I applied for the lifetime membership for unlimeted downloads and full access for a total of 39.95AUD and they also added on a cost of 17.00AUD for Download protection I did not want or give permission for. After I had done this stupid thing! my niece told me that "limewire" is supposed to be free! and that it was presently being taken to court for illegal copying of music!!!!!!!!!!!! "I HATE 'LIMEWIRE' and anything connected to it!

    Just like all of these other people who have been scamed by this malicious bunc of theiving scandrals, I thought I was getting an honest website. They charged an additional 17 dollars for some bull crapp protection. Hey they are the ones I needed protection from. I paid 59.00 for something that is not only free but useless. We should all demand that these people be put out of business and in prison. I am theroughly peaved off.

    I paid $44.00 for Limewire and found out I could get it for free. When I tried to get ahold of Limewire I got the run around and couldn't get my money back.   What a rip off!!!

    Just like you, been a receiver of a phony product for the sum of $44.00. I wanted to download music, without paying per song like on iTunes, so I went this route, I thought paying for the songs legally, but as many as I liked for a small amount of money. Well, first I had the same attachment as all of you, ads, commercials and sweepstakes and they are constantly popping up, can't find the program that's running them, then most of their songs are "wma" and after you download them, it says before viewing video you must download "end users rights" or something to that fact, it won't download, so I can't hear any of the 30 some songs I downloaded in that version. Then I had to reset my computer back to factory setting, which wiped out all the programs, including theirs and now I can't reload it and can't find anyone who wants to answer questions, especially since my trial period ended...maybe this should be a class action suit brought against them on "fraud"...
