I too, am a victim of Days Inn  No Cancellation policy.  I cancelled the reservation 11 days in advance, this was the days inn at lancaster pa. The reservation was for a shopping trip with my mom & 2 sisters, 2 rooms. Eleven days before our trip we were informed that our dad has 6 months to live, needless to say, my mom and us didn't feel like shopping or leaving our dad at this time.  That very same day i contacted days inn to cancel reservation, i was then informed that i should have read the NO CANCELLATION POLICY. I made the reservation via web.  Regardless of policy, under some circumstances, most industries will waive the policy terms.  My profession is customer service, which is all about the customer. Not with this company, the charge of 316.00 remains on my credit card.  I am not sure where I will go next with this issue, any advice would be appreciated.  I really think this company should be more sensative to their customers.

Certain rates are NO CANCELLATION.  I just booked at a slightly higher rate which was a matter of a few dollars difference just to have the flexibility to cancel if needed.

04/27/2013. The days in on riverside in espanola n.m.. House keeping knocked on my door at 9:30.The sign on the door said check out time was at 12:00 noon. I had checked in very blate and needed the rest. I received a phone call fromm the  front desk saying i had 3 min. to leave the room or iI would be charged another night.I took the sign of the door and took it to the front desk and showed her the check out time. She just stood there and had nothing to say.  I have stayed at this days in 4 times already this year. Thats at least once a month, and have never been forced to leave or have been wokin by housekeeping. Needless to say I will not be back!!!!

Recently stayed in a Days Inn in Gray, Georgia on West Clinton Steet. Checked in room, air conditoner did not work and the linen on bed was soiled. The aroma of the room smelled bad. It also had a mold like aroma. We had them to change our room and though the aroma was better the bedding wasn't. It still had soiled sheets.  They did not want to give you the proper amount of towels.  The front said he would adjust our bill for the inconvenience. Our last day at the hotel when we returned to our room, they had put new towels in our but the only problem was that the towels were stained with fresh blood and one of the towels had a needle hidden in it. We reported it, took photos and all. The guy from the front desk came and got the needle and said he would check with housekeeping. We checked out and he did nit adjust our bill. The rooms were unfit, the sheets were soiled and it's not surprising if housekeeping is getting high, doing drugs and potentially exposing people with their blood on towels, etc. When my aunt complained to manager about the sheets, etc. he snatched them from her hands and told her she could just check out now. Never again. Bad business, bad attitude and bad habits!

I booked a stay to Days Inn, but unfortunately I could not make it, and so I called to cancel. In other hotels the cancellation is 24-48 hrs. before your stay, so I was extremely surprised that I could not cancel even with such a span of time ahead of my stay.So I called, and this rude women at the front desk, the manager I believe, did not even listen to a word I said, insisting that when I purchased there was a policy, or whatever. Then she hung up on me!! How rude! I am planning on soon calling Customer Service, but based on these other responses I'm not so sure I can get any help at all. :/

I booked a reservation online with a Days Inn I've been staying at almost every year for twenty-odd years.  What a mistake!  I had never made a reservation before and never will again.  That particular motel always had a vacancy, and I'm sure they have some now.  Also, when I tried to cancel with Days Inn, I was told that I had booked it through Expedia.  I did not choose Expedia, and it wasn't obvious I was doing so.  Called Expedia, who had to transfer me to another place, and there was told, of course, that there would be no refund.  I never intended to book a non-cancellable reservation.  Yeah, everyone should read all the fine print.
Thanks Days Inn, Expedia, and all for making life so convenient.

I stayed in a days inn on 95 s richmond d area and woke up to what looked like a mini murder scene. The bed bugs ate me alive. I called the hotel desk and provided pictures to the clerk. He told me to contact the day manager for a redund. When I called I spoke with Angela Moore. She is the rudist woman in the south by far. She inveterate me to contact the board of health and days inn corporate. Well her wish has come true.

I made a reservation on Wednesday night at the Colorado Springs Garden of the Guards. When I arrived there, the front desk lady told me I no longer had a room because my credit card hadn't passed. I argued with her because I had clearly made a reservation knowing that this time of year the hotels are booked. People kept arriving to the front desk and were hearing our argument, the lady in the front desk kept saying it was because the credit card hadn't passed.
A guy that was about to check in gave up his room with a king size bed for my family and i . Then the person at the front desk changed the room with another couple that were going to check in for a 2 full beds with the room the guy had just gave up on, of course with their consent. At the end the lady at the front desk, with an Asian aspect, kept repeating that this whole thing had started because my credit card hadn't passed. She repeated it two times. She checked in the couple who really nicely accepted to change rooms with us. The front desk lady was checking us in and she said she had cancelled the reservation because some people reserve rooms but never show up that the lady had tried and contact us and since we didn't answered  she had sold our room. She was finishing checking us in when her (I believe) son commented "you know I'm sell in you this room in $90 when at this time I can be selling it in $150" my wife commented she was really mad and all she wanted was the room that this service was simply unexceptable. It seems to be funny now that I'm writing it down but its not funny when you have a family with 2 kids and no place to stay.

I stayed at the Days Inn in Cleveland Ga. on Sept. 9, 2013. Was charged $57 and some odd cents, I looked at my checking account after I checked out and saw that they had charged my debit car and additional $50.00. I went back and ask about it and they accused me of stealing the blankets and sheets. I worked in that town that day and told them they could look in my van and they would not. I told them that there were no blankets on the bed in the first place, Needless to say I will never stay here again. I stay in hotels every week and I have never experienced anything like this. Can anyone help?

is it your policy not to let handicap people stay at your inns? I am in a wheelchair, on our way back from Fl. we stopped at days inn in Hagerstown Maryland they would not let me stay there! he said they don't let wheelchairs there  as they mark the carpet and damage the walls is this true?

I stayed at the Days Inn Bismark ND. I called ahead to reserve a room ND I was told I would be receiving a handicap 15% discount when I called for a $84.76 plus tax per room. When I arrived I found out the pool and whirlpool was not working and all rooms were being discounted to $84.76. I asked management where my 15% discount and she said "all rooms were being giving a 15% discount" I asked then where was my 15% off and she said I was getting it. I understand the rooms were discounted but how is that really a discount for me when the told me they were giving me....me...a 15% discount. Hello, Days Inn, it's not discounted for a handicap, a VET, triple A or ARP if your charging everyone the same rate.

Booked Days Inn Cochrane AB. Tried to reason with customer service about a refund for a reservation I made on line. After listening to 3 people "appologize" but that they could do nothing, I gave up. They have to have a better system of dealing with the rare occasion when one must cancel even though the reservation is "non cancellable".  I will be spreading the news to the hotel chain's detriment!!

I fell at the pool and was told to fill out an incident report. This was at days inn in butler pa on Pittsburgh rd. Great front desk staff they had me call on Monday since it happened on at Saturday.  Had to speak with Liz the acount manager. Left a message on v mail and then I called back later.  She said she didn't get message yet. Then said I signed a waiver. So I informed well why was your staff so kind in offering an incident report.  Then she was unsure and would call me back. Waiting for the outcome and will let you know.

This seems to be the norm because I too was billed for a day I had cancelled the reservation due to change of plans.  Upon checking in at 6:00pm I had asked the desk clerk if would be able to cancel the next days stay due to change of plans and she replied no problem believing her.  HaHa Ha   what a joke .. I have never experienced anything like this in 40 years.  Low and behold an extra billing was on my statement and try to get anyone (manager) to return your call is another joke..  Lesson learned the money is lost and there business is lost with me for sure can you image over an additional 80.00 dollar billing. There loss....  Also anyone wanting to stay at the Days Inn Cleveland Lakewood  (its a [***] hole)   Stay away from Days Inns there are plenty of other chains to choose from....
