I too, am a victim of Days Inn  No Cancellation policy.  I cancelled the reservation 11 days in advance, this was the days inn at lancaster pa. The reservation was for a shopping trip with my mom & 2 sisters, 2 rooms. Eleven days before our trip we were informed that our dad has 6 months to live, needless to say, my mom and us didn't feel like shopping or leaving our dad at this time.  That very same day i contacted days inn to cancel reservation, i was then informed that i should have read the NO CANCELLATION POLICY. I made the reservation via web.  Regardless of policy, under some circumstances, most industries will waive the policy terms.  My profession is customer service, which is all about the customer. Not with this company, the charge of 316.00 remains on my credit card.  I am not sure where I will go next with this issue, any advice would be appreciated.  I really think this company should be more sensative to their customers.

    Sturbridge Mass. Days Inn does not care whether you have a good or bad stay, they just want your money!
    Their night clerk, Romeo, has no clue about company policies, he told me they would gladly cancel my reservation at no charge and then charged my card. When I spoke to the manager I was told it didn't matter what Romeo said, he denied it anyway.
    As it turned out I stayed the night, after all, I payed for it. Yep, this plays lived up to my low expections.

    I stayed at days inn and when I went to turn air conditioner on my socks got soaked and the bottom of my pants. I had to smell mildew all night.another room I asked for the next day and went to use phone but didn’t work. I looked at the wire and it was rotted in half. I wanted to use it to tell them tv wasn’t working. I had to pay for this. So wrong

    Next another room I said please  quiet one. And I go in lay down and here banging. It wouldn’t stop and the man said they were fixing phones and they were not. I asked for another room and the mattress totally top hit bottom springs poking.  There was always an excuse. But they were such lame excuses it was pathetic.

    Day six another room. Went to the bathroom water was passing by my feet from toilet. Took a shower and the cold water shut off and got burnt pretty bad. I was crying . I came back that night after I asked them to fix it and the man working told me I didn’t have a room I’m 72 and was so tired. He asked for a credit card I didn’t have one I was paying by cash. He said he was calling police and I better leave. This was so humiliating, embarrassing to say the least and he called them and they escorted me out worst run business. Very unsafe motel water problems fire alarms going off in middle o night,  how can they not reimburse you or through you out after a week.
