Hello, my family purchased a Whirlpool Waher and Dryer (Duet) about 6 weeks ago. The Washer stopped working on 1Aug2007. The earliest repair date that I coudl get form A&E Appliance is 16Aug2007.

Since we bought the pair through Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) they helped us get the defective Wahser replaced. We have hauled several load of laundry to the laundromat since 1Aug. I cannot believe that the MAde in America products that we spent our hard earned money on broke so soon, and were going to take almost 3 weeks to be repaired.

Incidentally, the Controller Panel went out on the Washer and AAFES is still waiting for WHirlpool to send them 2 of the 4 parts ordered on 3Aug to repair the Washer. We will not invest in another Whirlpool product. I am glad that I went on the website and saw the manufacturer names associated with Whirlpool. Please do not send me another "canned" email response to my query. I already have 3-4 of them, they just make me more irate that I spent our hard earned money on your product(s).

I think whirlpool stinks.  Let me ammend that, I think they stink now.  We recently had to replace our 15 year old Whirlpool Washer and dryer.  Because the old pair lasted 15 years, we naturally bought Whirlpool again.  We did not buy the top of the line but we did not buy the bottom of the line either.  I'd say we were a step or 2 below the top of the line.  Anyway, the dryer NEVER dries my clothes in one cycle.  No, I do not overload the dryer.  In fact, as a result, I've been running small to small/medium loads and they rarely dry the first cycle through.  The Whirlpool repair man "tested" the dryer and said it is functioning properly.

I also had problems with my then brand new microwave/exhaust combo.  It was put into our brand new home when it was built and never ever exhausted properly.  I called whirlpool within a month of its installation and the repairman said it was working properly but that they don't as a general rule do a good job exhausting.  I wish I would have gotten rid of it sooner because it ended up doing cabinet damage - it destroyed the cabinet that it was installed next to.  Because it didn't ever exhaust, the cabinets had to endure all the built up condensation which, over the years, damaged it to the point of having it replaced.  (We didn't know that extent of the damage until we removed the microwave and saw that the cabinet was completely destroyed.)

Oh my Whirlpool dishwasher never did a good job cleaning the dishes.  I always had to wash them by hand first and if I didn't really clean them, I'd find bits of food or washing detergent left behind.

Don't even get me started on the Whirlpool oven unit.  The numbers on the dial wore away within 1 year of purchase.  (Maybe I clean too much!)

    Anyway, never Whirlpool again.

THe knobs n my Whilpool Model  5 burner range Number WFG374LVQ2  (Jan. 28, 2011) melted when I tried to broil something. I purchased hte warranty through Lowe's where I purchased item) and have had no satisfaction. I purchawed a 4 year extended warranty which is not worth the paper it is written on. I caled Whirlpool and they informed me that I coud get a Whirlpool warranty but of course it wouldnot cover the issue I am having now. I am very disapponted in the Whirlpool products and the snotty attidtudes of whirlpool personnel and Lowe's service department. I will never purchse a whirlpool product again.

the tub in our dishwasher needs to be replaced. I contacted whirlpool and they sent me a replacement part, HOWEVER Whirlpool refuses to send me someone to replace it without a charge!!! It is clearly stated under the warranty that Whirlpool will cover both parts and labor. I spoke to the worst costumer service rep named Joshua who instead of listening to my concern just kept repeating the same information over and over. Than after 45minutes on the phone and after asking to speak to a supervisor repeadtly he put someone who repeated the same information and told me that there isn't anyone else i can speak to because she represents the executive director for the company. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with and it is amazing to me that you can deny the coverage WHIRLPOOL OFFERS IN THE WARRANTY!!!!!!!! How is this even possible????

Whirlpool customer service is horrible.  I had a oven that blew up and all I got was a curt - sorry you are out of warranty.  Not a single person cared about it.  A&E is the worst appliance service ever.  They couldn't make an appointment for a week.  Whirlpool and A&E told us to call anywhere - we did and now have a $400.00 bill. The people in the service center are arrogant.  Get  this on 3 occassions they said, people never read the emails sent via the Whirpool website.  One person even told me the CEO  never readds anything...If I were a CEO that person would not be on my team.

I did buy the top of the line Washer & Dryer Cabrio and the service contract offered thru Lowes.  What a laugh that is.  I have not been able to do laundry for over a week now and have a husband that is elderly with metastatic lung cancer and has a compromised immune system and I have to be extra clean with bed linens and his clothing. They have promised me everything in the book and all I have to show for my trouble is I am sorry.
I am elderly also and cannot haul all this to the laundrymat. I do not know what we are going to do.

We just purchased a new Whirlpool washer a few weeks ago and it's already not working! After reading what a nightmare their service is, I will never purchase another Whirlpool product! This thing has been a lemon since day one and now as of tonight, it won't even fill up. Filled it, put the clothes in and closed the lid...nothing! Then I turned to spin cycle which was working, to empty and try again. Now it won't even start to fill! This is ridiculous after just a few weeks!! What a piece of junk!

I purchased a Whirlpool, Range, Refrigerator and Microwave in June 2004, I've already had issues with the range overheating, now I went to replace a cooktop light in the microwave and the bulb separated from the bulb base, microwave went dead, (still dead) and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - STINKS. Apparently the manufacturer glued the bulb glass, to bulb base and then the bulb socket. Impossible to remove without prior knowledge to remove the glue. Waiting ton the Fridge to go out --- Never aging on Whirlpool or Kenmore ___they are all the same.......Used to be made in Japan was inferior quality, but now thats probably the best way to go. You would think a major appliance would give you more than 36 months trouble free service,,,,,Never AGAIN On Whirpool - don't bother to look for customer service at Whirpool.

Purchased a ADG7560 dishwasher early September 2008. After 2 months of use it stopped working. Called the Service Dept and waited 3 weeks for the engineer. He re-programmed the Programmer. After 2 weeks it developed the same fault. Again had to wait 3 weeks for the new Programmer. That did not work.
After that we had a further 4 Service calls. Each time the Engineer did not have a part or did not have the proper test equipment.
To date (13the February 2009) the appliance is still not working and we constantly have to keep chasing Service & Customer Care to get anything happening.
What a dreadful company and product. No one cares and there is a distinct lack of credibility.
Never again will I deal with Whirlpool.

I have been trying to get my Whirlpool Front Loading Washing Machine fixed (and now replaced) for over year.  It is always the same problem - an F20 error. It first broke one month after we purchased it.  With the most recent episode, I have now been without a washing machine for over 4 weeks and still don't have any resolution and still no working washing machine.  Whirlpool continues to give me the run around.  I am never able to talk with the same person and of course the person I am on the phone with tells me that the previous person gave me the wrong information.  Does anyone have any idea who we can turn to for help?
