Hello, my family purchased a Whirlpool Waher and Dryer (Duet) about 6 weeks ago. The Washer stopped working on 1Aug2007. The earliest repair date that I coudl get form A&E Appliance is 16Aug2007.

Since we bought the pair through Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) they helped us get the defective Wahser replaced. We have hauled several load of laundry to the laundromat since 1Aug. I cannot believe that the MAde in America products that we spent our hard earned money on broke so soon, and were going to take almost 3 weeks to be repaired.

Incidentally, the Controller Panel went out on the Washer and AAFES is still waiting for WHirlpool to send them 2 of the 4 parts ordered on 3Aug to repair the Washer. We will not invest in another Whirlpool product. I am glad that I went on the website and saw the manufacturer names associated with Whirlpool. Please do not send me another "canned" email response to my query. I already have 3-4 of them, they just make me more irate that I spent our hard earned money on your product(s).

    bought a Maytag front load washer in October 24,2010 ihave not been able to use it, because it came damage by the manufactorors. I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone, (A and E sears repair) two months past I did not get the oarts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they send someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts, because THEY NEW THE COMPANY WAS NOT GOING TO REPLACE THE MACHINE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALREADY DAMAGED. They said I would get the parts between THREE TO FIVE BUISSNESS DAYS, i only got one part. A and e send a repair guy again, the 22nd of June this one said they needed the entire machine in parts and THAT HE WOULD ORDER THE PARTS. I call A and e one week later and they said they were waiting on the manufactor to send the parts, (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July I got the parts. At the 22nd of July another repair man came and said we needed more parts. Today is August 16, 2011 I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here tilll AFTER OCTOBER 26TH, WHICH BY THEN I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR PARTS AND LABOR IF I WANTED IT FIXED, BECAUSE BY THEN THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY WILL EXPIRE, and here I am with a $700 washer, which was never used and they refuse to fix/replace. They sold me a LEMON!

    This is a complaint that I have read about many times on the net. I purchased a Whirlpool double wall oven Mod.# rbd245pdb14 about 5 years ago.The display went black and the oven shut down.It came back on and  shut down about 3 times before it permanently shut down.It seems that the control board PT.# 8302319 is defective and should be replaced.However Whirlpool claims that this replacement part is discontinued and I am on my own.Whirlpool is almost a monopoly their brands include Maytag,Kitchenaid,Jenn-Air,Amana,Magic Chef,Admiral,Norge,Roper,and many more including Sears / Kenmore.It seems Whirpool has a win win operation.Sell an inferior product make sure there are not replacement parts available so consumers purchase another name brand of their inferior products.

    Can we claim the product? i purchased the washing machine a year back with 2 years warranty. for the first eight months i did not face any problem and its been working fine.
    Since the last three months my machine went into trouble 4 times and each time the engineer took 8 days to figure out the problem.
    now when i am asking for replacement they are stating that so long as the machine is in warranty they cannot entertain any such request.

    i am unsure how to take it up further legally.

    My recommendation is never to buy whirlpool equipments.

    My wife and I purchased a new he Cabrio set washer and dryer from lowes just over two years ago...two rps sensors...a motor Stattor due to the original cracked in just over a year and a control board four service calls later and I will never purchase nor allow a whirlpool product in my home again...I paid over 1600.00 for Whirlpool junk machines and have had it with the poorly manufactured lowest quality appliances they push on the public market...its obvious that the emphasis is to produce huge profits for the investors and board of director's at any cost..The Whirlpool name once stood for quality durability and the consumer was confident in their purchase when they decided on Whirlpool. Now is is synonymous with disposable junk. Sure repair people like them...they need to make a living too..bit if anyone considers a Whirlpool Cabrio set....DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL..Unless you prefer your clothing ruined..smelling.sour , repair costs and parts expences piles of unwashed laundry and a wife that is fit to be tied! Whirlpool is absolutely junk ...period. a waste of your hard earned money..be smart stay away from the garbage they sell....I'm just waiting for the lawsuit so I can recoup whatever I can to offset the cost of my new laundry machines...I don't want another Whirlpool product anywhere near my my home and every time I'm at a Lowes and Home Depot...I will preach to all that are looking at new machines to steer clear of Whirlpool and their garbage junk machines.....man I feel better...

    I to have a whirpool washer & dryer. I am 70 years old, purchesed w&d 4Y 3M at age 66. Thinking this would be My last purchase w&d. Paid good money for Garbage,so far dryer is working, for how long??? washer will not keep balance on spin cycle.No I am not a engineer or have a degree. I can balance a tire. Tub is true according to Earth Gravity.This piece of bottom feeder might work on Moon. I would like to be the person that pushes the button to send washer and cad  designer to moon, I know you dum ass the lest gravity the more it takes to balance. Send it to the SUN.washer model- WTW6600SW2 S/N C41372361. I also have gotten phone calls from whirlpool, computer generated. The average JOE does not have enough pull to speak to a person{boardmember), to voice their opinion to a person. $800.00 to $1000.00 shot.     3years ago bought a Whirlpool water heater from Lowe's. After 1 1/2 year burner wouldn't light. Whirlpool said we'll send you a burner assembly-you replace. Imagine that talk about liability. I replaced four of them before Whirlpool replaced the heater-at my installation expense.
    Now we have a new water, the best whirlpool sells after one year burner assembly won't light. Had A&E out this past Feb 2012 the tech said he made some adjustments and cleaned the burner assembly. Here we are in May 2012 same problem starting all over again.
    Oh and by the way it took Lowes over a year to get the water heater city approved because the contractor that came messed up the whole job.

    Wow!  I can't believe Whirlpool still has A&E as a contract repair company.  We purchased a Whirlpool washer in October, 2011 from Lowes.  Advanced and A&E have been to our 5 times already, and our machine still doesn't work.  Finally today the repair person from A&E told us he needed to order pairs.  We have never dealt with a company like Whirlpool that treat thier customers like we don't matter.  If Whirlpool didn't have customers where would they be?   We really don't know what to do now, since it's impossible to get anyone on the phone with a title.  The work hours for corporate are 8:00 - 4:30.   We keep hoping we will get a person on the phone that cares, and take care of our problems.  Whirlpool makes impossible for their customers to have their broken appliances repaired.  After seeing all your complaints I guess that's not going to happened.  We all need to keep telling everyone we know how horrible Whirlpool is.  We will never buy another Whirlpool product.  We don't understand we both work for companies that customer service is a requirement.  How does Whirpool keep getting away with such horrible service, adn stay in business.

    Unhappy Whirlpool Customer
    I purchased a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer from Associated Appliance in Stamford, Ct in Feb 2010.  A few weeks after my purchase the dryer kept getting a F22 error I called Associated and was told to unplug the dryer and reset the breaker this solved the problem for a time.  I also called Whirlpool and was told the same thing.  In April I called Whirlpool about the error and was told to call my dealer.    Associated came to house and charged $158.00 for the repair.  Almost immediately the dryer had the f22 error they again came and said they had to order another part. That was three weeks ago.  I called them this morning and was told they had not ordered the part, then I was told the part was on national back order.  I called Whirlpool the part is not on national back order.  The representative was nice enough to call associated and was placed on hold for 45 minutes.  I missed the Whirlpool call but spoke to another supervisor who told me Associated was not an authorized repair dealer.  (Associated disputes this and says that they are)  When I asked when I called Whirlpool I was told to call my place of purchase why was I directed to them for the repair.  She said that was an error.  Whirlpool then offered a 50% discount on the part (W10294630) which is the motherboard (the main electrical component of the dryer which never functioned correctly).  The cost of the part is $333.00 but only if I use an authorized Whirlpool dealer.  If I do that I will loose the $158.00 for the repair from Associated.  Does this seem fair?  On a dryer that is less than two years old that NEVER functioned properly and is documented by Whirlpool and Associated I need to spend approx. $450.00 to repair?  It does not appear that Whirlpool stands behind the products it sells.

    Don't know how you folks feel about it but a washer machine that costs over $2000 should last longer than 6 to 7 years!!  Bought the duet and quick frankly both the washer & dryer totally SUCK!  Might be the worse washer & dryer in the market today.  Strongly recommend  purchasing a different brand even if its made in china and out of wood.  Got to be better than Whirlpool!!!!

    We bought our Whirlpool duet washer 1.5 years ago and only six months into our purchase it broke.  The drum somehow collapsed.  It took the Whirlpool 3 attempts before they could send out a part that did not break on the way to our home.  Same unit, 11 months later door wont open, unit won't come on at all.  Called the corporations and they wont even contemplate to offer any kind of assistance to compensate the expense of repairing the unit.  I ask my self, is this what corporations do once they have gotten so large? they can care less about their name, reputation.   I certainly will never buy another whirlpool product and tell as many people about it as I can.

    Whirlpool Model RTW444OXQO Washer was a lemon from the beginning. Several service calls the first year and bought the extended warranty under Assurance Solutions for the second year with 3 service calls and still washer does not empty, tears up clothing etc.

    After contacting Whirlpool - who does not stand behind their products - we will never buy another Whirlpool Product.

    I purchased the duet front loader washing machine model #WFW95HEXW2  not even a year ago.  The washing machine leaves more stains on the clothes then when they went in. I replaced more of my kids school uniforms in 1 year then would have needed in 4 years of schooling.  I had service out they told me to run everything on bulky. Not a cost cutting measure there! Same problem.  I have switched over to powder detergent and use the tiniest amount which I dont think actually cleans my clothes and no fabric softener.  I invested heavily in affresh and do it more often than I should, still doesnt help. I run it with vinegar and bleach also, still doesnt help.  I am so disgusted with the product.  I feel it is useless to call service again, they will probably tell me to wash 3 things at a time. So now that each load takes a minimum of 1 hour 15 minutes on which we know can take 2 hours per load or more, I dont ever seem to catch up on my wash.  I have no choice but  to purchase another washing machine. Certainly not from whirlpool and certainly not an HE. I dont have the heart to sell this one to anyone, so maybe I can get what its really worth from the scrap metal yard for it!

    we have always purchased whirlpool appliances during our 51 years of marriage.  we would never buy any other name.  we've always been happy, until now.  the washer we bought has been nothing but trouble since we bought it,  if you want to wash your clothes and run it through three cycles hoping that your clothes come out without being completely soaked, then this is the machine for you.  but don't be surprised if your clothes still come out completely saturated.  this washer isn't even two years old.  the refrigerator is another problem.  another appliance that is not even two years old.  in the last couple of months the refrigerator has stopped working but the freezer has been ok.  the first time we had a technician look at it, he said it was a common problem.  he suggested taking everything out of the freezer, shutting it down, and running a fan in the freezer section for about three or four hours.  then put if back on.  that fixed the problem for about a couple of weeks before it happened again.  so we had to defrost it again.  it started working again.  when we called the technician, he said he can't really tell anything if the refrigerator is working.  right now the refrigerator seems warm.  how many times are we supposed to lose food and defrost this waste of money?  it doesn,t look like we'll be buying any more whirlpool products.  we're going to replace our dishwasher soon.  I doubt if it will be with another whirlpool. stank70@gmail.com
