Hello, my family purchased a Whirlpool Waher and Dryer (Duet) about 6 weeks ago. The Washer stopped working on 1Aug2007. The earliest repair date that I coudl get form A&E Appliance is 16Aug2007.

Since we bought the pair through Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) they helped us get the defective Wahser replaced. We have hauled several load of laundry to the laundromat since 1Aug. I cannot believe that the MAde in America products that we spent our hard earned money on broke so soon, and were going to take almost 3 weeks to be repaired.

Incidentally, the Controller Panel went out on the Washer and AAFES is still waiting for WHirlpool to send them 2 of the 4 parts ordered on 3Aug to repair the Washer. We will not invest in another Whirlpool product. I am glad that I went on the website and saw the manufacturer names associated with Whirlpool. Please do not send me another "canned" email response to my query. I already have 3-4 of them, they just make me more irate that I spent our hard earned money on your product(s).

I purchased a top-of-the-line Whirlpool fridge last year with a two-year full warranty. Since then both doors had been replaced after the plastic borders cracked. Now the replaced, new doors had cracked again and we had to claim the product again. The attitude towards customers of the local service center is very bad and rude and it is very difficult to communicate with them. You can hardly find a responsible person from that company your could address your problem - everything there is so anonymous and secretive. I really regret buying Whirlpool.

29 Sept 09 - We will never buy a Whirlpool Product again. We have been arguing with them for 10 months about our washer. It vibrates so much that it goes into the wall, unplugs itself and so on.We wasted 5 days of our hollidays between me and my husband for Technicians to come between 8:00-4:00.They are finally going to replace it but at a cost of $399.00 for usage of the defected one for 10 months.Have you ever heard of such garbage.NEVER NEVER AGAIN.

    Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator
We purchased this top-freezer style refrigerator 1.5 years ago and it will not stay cold. I've heard of "planned obsolescence" but this is ridiculous. Luckily, we have a local repairman who is good and honest, but I will not purchase Whirlpool products again. I do wonder if there are any manufacturers left who make quality products that last?

I bought an expensive Whirpool Refrigerator in July 2009 , by November 2009 we have to call for repair 4 times . Their customer service is absolutely unacceptable, he kept arguing with me the problem is they called A & E services company and THAT COMPANY didn't do a good job of repairing the FREAKY FRIDGE that they MADE . Yes, it is A & E corporation 's fault, not Whirpool's fault ! Of Course, it got to be someone's fault and none of them is theirs .

Everytime the Service people come to fix it, I have to spend the whole day seating around the house waiting for them , for that fridge, I missed work 4 times in 4 months !!!!

    I'm back again!!!!!!!!!

Following my exhaustive complaint about the Whirlpool programmer faults on my ADG
7560 dishwasher(the history is above). I finally wrote to the MD in Purley who decided that the awful machine should be replaced with a new one....At last!
Well, I have now had the new dishwasher 8 months and once again the programmer has gone wrong.
Will keep you informed of this long continues saga.
An Engineer has already called without a spare part.
I seem to remember several complaints about programmers but cannot see any here.
Please let me know if you have experienced problems with programmers on Whirlpool Dishwashers.

    Hi Clare
As you can see from my history of Whirlpool below I have experienced Dishwasher ADG 7560 programmer problems for 14 months.
I also had mine replaced but the problem continues.
You are wise to buy a different make.

We purchased a Whirpool front load washer duet sport...its not even 3 months old and it broke. Wepurchased it from Lowes. I called first the lowes warrenty line they gave me the numbers to two companies who would fix it. One company won't come to my house because we live to far away, the second company has been reported to BBB. So I called whirlpool, they have me call A&E repairs, make an appointment for them to come fix it...well guess what A& E calls me cancels my appointment, reschedules for 3 weeks from now....I asked A&E who is going to pay for my laundry mat bills...the rep responded do I have a contract for that? I'm so angry I haven't called whirpool back yet, but plan to...but I'm sure the finger will be pointed at everyone but themselves. They hire these outside companies to do the work, but can't get the people to do it.

This is a follow on from the experiences I have had with Whirlpool detailed above.
Following many recorded letters to the so called Customer Services Dept at Purley Way I finally wrote to the MD enclosing copies of letters sent.  I eventually received a reply from Customer Services who accepted that the Dishwasher should be replaced.
I did not receive a letter from the MD whick I found disappointing.
The new machine was duly delivered and the old dishwasher taken away to be scrapped.
I have now had the new dishwasher for 8 months and guess what?
    The programmer has failed again.
After 2 weeks wait the Engineer arrived without any record or history of my experiences. He confirmed the programmer had to be replaced but as Whirlpool did not hold stock of this item it would take about 8 days for it to be sent from Germany.
We agreed a date for the repair giving 3 weeks for the spare programmer to be delivered. Sadly the Engineer called this morning to tell me the spare had not arrived. It's the 16th December 2009 and we have 16 people comming for Christmas!!
I really find it hard to believe a domestic product can be so unrealiable and that the Customer Service Dept at Purley Way are so unconcerened about the customer.
I will now be contacting the Trading Standards and will keep you informed of progress..if any.

Perhaps I should put the dishwasher in the middle of Bournemouth as a deterent for anyone even considering the purchase of a Whirlpool product!
I suspect the only way out of the situation will be to buy from another manufacturer and dump this awful appliance. Will keep you informed.

Don't buy whirlpool!!! The duet steam washer is acting up. The person at whirpool said, "they would honor my warranty, since it was two days out of warranty." They sent some people to fix it, who showed up three days late. Finally they showed up and said they would be back the next day, with the part. Yeah right!!! Well I called whirpool back and, spoke to some nasty lady, who said "no they would not honor my warranty." Whatever,I am so sick of being lied to.

Yea right, [***] did not happen when I paid for my washer, [***] did not happen when I paid for the KEEP IT NEW.  This machine have broken four times and each time is for the same reason.  I was told today I had only 2 times in the KEEP IT NEW system(other two was on the 1 year warranty), and it had to be FOUR time before it could be replaced.  Driving to laundry and spending $30-$50 to wash my clothing is ...... No common sense!!!!! They just feel sorry and understand..........MAD AS HELL

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool refridgerator model number WBM35 in Nov 04 and have had nothing but problems with it, we are so fed up with the run around we have experienced with Whirlpool customer service and their poor product.

The fridge started to show faults around Sept 08 when all of a sudden all the lights would flash on the electronic panel on front for no reason and then the fridge would appear to not be cold (this includes the freezer not to work), as you could imagine throwing out a fridge/freezer of fresh food is very disapointing.

We called customer service in Sept 08 and sent out a technician to look at it and he said that the compressor had gone in it (he also stated that these compressors are bad news and have been plagued with issues) he then replaced the compressor (under warranty, after waiting 4 weeks for the part to arrive with no fridge and living out of an esky until the part arrived) on the 16th Oct 08.

Approx around Nov 09, the alarm would sound for no reason at all (the doors are closed)! At times all the lights on the control panel would start flashing for no reason (doors are closed) and the fridge is not cold and freezer is not cold (again throwing away fridge/freezer full of food), we found that by turning it off at the power supply and leaving it sit for a few hours and switching it back on it would work again for a few days and then revert back to not working. We called customer service and they had no record of us ever calling them about the previous compressor that they had installed under warranty!

Finally we had enough and called customer service once more and they finally sent out a technican on 24th Dec 09 who gave us the disapointing news that the compressor is broken (the 2nd one which was installed 13 months earlier by Whirlpool), along with the electrical panel (not covered under warranty) being faulty and he also stated that the gas is at a extremely low level for a fridge this old (not covered under warranty). Whirlpool then said they would not fix the fridge under warranty, tried to charge us $100 call out fee (as the electrical fault is not covered under warranty) and we are left over Christmas without a fridge! Bascially the fridge is going to cost us $500 + to fix it!!! We refuse to spend this amount of money fixing it, when we have no faith in the product and that there will be more issues with it.

There obviously is a fault with this model that Whirlpool fails to recognise as 2 other people we know with the same model have had to throw them out and buy new fridges as they had exactly the same problems!

Do not buy Whirlpool, inferior product, worst customer service I have every experienced.

My whirlpool range is six years old and looks new as I have taken very good care of it. As of now my oven over-heated and now I getting the code F3 so we replaced the two oven sensors, that didn't work. I paid a service call of $90.00 to be told that my stove was not worth fixing. No not at 700.00 to repair. I will never buy another Whirpool product. I will make sure everyone I know, knows what kind of product they can expect when they purchase Whirlpool products. Never never again.

We bought a whirlpool microwave in April 2009. they gave a 1 yr guarenatee + free service We faced 2 problems:
1)they asked to keep a plastic cap/ cover when we fry chicken or fish and the plastic cover melted the first time we used it. And they have yet not given any replacement and saying that it melts so we do not need to keep it.
    2) Our microwave suddenly stopped working, registered our complaint in service centre. they told within 3 hrs the person will call u and reach u and till 15 days i was calling them nobody gave me a call or came to check the problem with microwave.
Really disgusting, I have never seen any Company's so low quality service, Very Very poor service and above all they have a satisfaction code to - for what i don't know. Not only that after 15 days they came and told it's the problem with the motherboard and knowingly changed our motherboard with other model's motherboard and our defrost and some operation stopped working, it started showing error as ERR7 and when again i called them to rectify it, they r asking me to again call a customer service centre and again take a new complaint no. so that they can again take these long period to finish the problem and the guarantee period will also get over till then. Really I m fed up of calling this people. If anyone can provide me with the right person's no. to contact with it would really be grateful.

I bought a fitted kitchen which came with the dishwasher.. it was installed in July and in october it broke down.  I have been waiting since October for the engineer to bring in the new part and the customer service people are very patronising and very arrogant. Its as if they are being forced to come to work... really need good public relations training.. I am really frustrated and angry because its now April 2010 and I am still waiting.  I need help. I am based in Dublin.

    Thanks for your assistance
    Jules
