Hello, my family purchased a Whirlpool Waher and Dryer (Duet) about 6 weeks ago. The Washer stopped working on 1Aug2007. The earliest repair date that I coudl get form A&E Appliance is 16Aug2007.

Since we bought the pair through Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) they helped us get the defective Wahser replaced. We have hauled several load of laundry to the laundromat since 1Aug. I cannot believe that the MAde in America products that we spent our hard earned money on broke so soon, and were going to take almost 3 weeks to be repaired.

Incidentally, the Controller Panel went out on the Washer and AAFES is still waiting for WHirlpool to send them 2 of the 4 parts ordered on 3Aug to repair the Washer. We will not invest in another Whirlpool product. I am glad that I went on the website and saw the manufacturer names associated with Whirlpool. Please do not send me another "canned" email response to my query. I already have 3-4 of them, they just make me more irate that I spent our hard earned money on your product(s).

    I built a new house 8 years ago.  Purchased Whirlpool washer, dryer, range, oven, Microwave, refridgerator, dishwasher,freezer. Washer and dryer have had to be repaired more than once.  Dryer takes at lest 2 cycles to dry a load.
    Refridgerator went out for good 2 years ago, freezer leaks water all the time. I have a towel under door.  The displays went out on both range and oven, repair part was to be almost $500 for each one.  Also get error message on range all the time and oven goes off and won't come back on.  Then this week-end I put a cake in oven and it goes into cleaning mode. Smoke goes everywhere, our eyes were burning, there is damsge to microwave above.  Called Whirlpool, after about an hr. I am told they will give me 10% off a new Whirlpool oven.  NO THANKS!

    I own apcb controled refrigerator,pcb wentof thrice in last 4 months.Till date repair cost me 3/4th of original cost . iam worrid about next failour. what shoud i do now??

    I brought whirl pool washing machine, whose advertisement is showing in television after every 30 min and performing by kajol the famous film actress shouting and confirming about 1 yrs free giving of washing powder . i think its all are useless,  just i brought my washsing machine last week, fully automatic
    But  My experience is worst as i didnot even any demo, any service and no any free scheme , my question is how a responsible celebrity can do such type of announcement for very very careless company, i feel myself completely cheated, i will never suggest any body to buy any product of whirl pool, O dont have faith on this copmany it will listen to my complain.

    I paided almost $2000 for the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer..They are only 2yrs old..the Dryer stopped working....when I called for repair service I was re-routed from H.H Gregg 800 number to A&E Repair and told it would be a week before an appt with technician was available(on a friday) with a 5-hour window to wait(1-5pm).. on the day of appt.and he arrives @ 4:53pm. Walks into laundry..flips dryer over and(all the while talking on his wireless cell phone headset)...says it's the fuses and he only has 1 on his truck ..so he will need to order the other(he orders both)....the Parts(fuses@$180) will be deliver by UPS to me by the following wednesday but,there are NO appt.'s available for a technician until Friday..(again with a 5-hr window to wait..1-5pm)I've called whirlpool and A&E several times and get the run around for them both..I can't believe I will have to wait 2 weeks for a simple 10 minute repair fix..(technician said it would only take 10 minutes to fix if he had the fuses)Technician said Fuse's were the most common repair they have so why would A&E send a technician out on service calls without commonly use parts..I will never purchase a whirlpool product again and definitely will insure that A&E is not the service repair provider..Whirlpool doesn't not care about customer after they have your $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....Filing compliant with BBB...They should be ashame!!!

    i stay in satna (m.p.).i purchased an air conditioner on July 2006.
    on April 2010 it got a compressor problem and we asked the dealer to repair it.
    he said the compressor got burnt and it will take time.we patiently waited but its almost 3 months he hasn't shown any response.
    we even tried to request him but he treated us in a very bad way and even said do what ever we can. i even wrote a complaint to whirlpool company against it but they gave us no response .
    i here by request you finally to take an strict action against ac dealer (SUDHA ELECTRICALS),rewa road ,satna(m.p.).
    its not a prayer ,its a warning to the dealers .i need a response before 9yh of june else the consenquences will be fatal.

    Why does Whirlpool Cabrio keep saying oL and/or LO?  Is this just poor product and no one can fix them.  The machine doesn't seem to wash with out this message.  I then get it to work and then it doesn't use th fabric softner and then it will not drain so I then use the drain and spin cycle to get it to spin clothes?  Machines are less than two years old.

    I purchased a Duet Washer and Dryer several years ago.  I has taken me a month to get it repaired with parts that are under warrenty.  They send out "authorized repairmen" that are unreliable.  They send broken warrenty parts to delay the process even further.  It's hard to believe that a company can run like this and stay in business.  They are not honest with their customers.  Not a good way to run a business.

    Bought a whirlpool electric water heater two years ago from lowes. Purchased full nine year supposedly warranty.The lights in house started flickering sunday morning, I go down to basement and smell something burning. I look at hot water heater and the whole top of it is melting. The circuit panel on top shorted out and was melting. Luckily I was home and the circuit breaker in fuse panel blew.After calling  1800 number argued with them for four hours and all they would do is send me a circuit panel three days later. Sent pictures to them showing damage , would not replace water heater. I had to go out and buy a whole new water heater yesterday to have hot water to take a shower.Whirlpools customer service sucks.After this ordeal i will never purchase a whirlpool product again. They do not stand behind their warranties.So anyone looking at whirlpool products read this first. To whirlpool your product almost caught my house on fire, and all you can do is send me a circuit panel three days later.We dont need do do business anymore.Whirlpool could have taken a loss for once and taken care of customer. Just wanting to warn other people about their warranty claims.From a very dissatified customer i will not purchase any more of your products.

    IT APPEARS AS THOUGH IT WAS MADE IN " SANFORD AND
    SONS JUNKYARD " ?  FOR $ 1200.00 DOLLARS THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED .  WE RESIDE AT ELEVATION AND IT HAS DIFFICULTY COOLING IN THE SAFETY RANGE AND RUNS ALMOST CONTINUALLY .  ANOTHER INTERESTING ASPECT THAT WE DIDN'T ANTICIPATE IS THAT WHEN THE REFRIDGE
    PORTION IS OPENED , ALL OF THE RADIOS IN THE HOUSE
    EXPERIENCE MASSIVE STATIC !  UPON REVIEWING THE ENCLOSED OWNERS MANUAL IT APPEARS THAT WHIRLPOOL
    DOES NOT RESPONSIBILTY FOR ANYTHING!  BUYER BEWARE
    IN OUR OPINION , THIS IS A SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT .
    IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT WE PURCHASED THIS UNIT OVER
    THE PHONE PREDICATED ON OUR PAST EXPERIENCE WITH
    WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS = A BIG MISTAKE , THE GAME HAS CHANGED !

    what a crappy company trying to speak with a human being could not be more difficult. I was on hold for twenty minutes waiting for someone to answer but no response. Thy can keep their crap I will buy something else

    I have a cabrio dryer, never works, have had them out 6 times, but now my year warrant is up, same problem every time, fuse. whirpool says tough [***]..., way to take care of your customers whirlpool!

    I bought a whirlpool genius refrigerator from the day one it is not working.They say it is a new model.After giving a complaint one service engineer came after 3 days and said compressor problem.After 3 days another service engineer came and said freezer box cooling line got choked.It has been 22 days till now fridge is not running.My kind advice never buy any of the whirlpool appliances.It is a waste of money.Even the local service centres won't give a proper reply.It is after all our money.What is bothered for them.

    yea [***] happens to the most trusting people in the world who honestly believe that they are getting a good product for the large dollar amount they are spending. i bought a whirlpool duet front end loader washer and it will not drain now. have only had since 2007.

    I have owned whirlpool washer and dryer sets for 31 years. One set lasted 17 years and the other 14 years. Pretty good. I recently bought a Duet pair. The washer  interface has gone out after 15 months. All Whirlpool can say is that it out of one year warranty and they cannot do anything about it. It is a crying shame that a company like Whirlpool cannot stand behind their product longer than a year. Goodbye Whirlpool. Hello some other brand.

    A complaint has been raised on 18th March 2011, Service Request number: 15431, for the issue cooling were not there in lower body of refrigerator.  An Engineer came advise that compressor is not working.  He took Rs5000/- and change it.
    Again a complaint was raised on 12th May 2011, Request number: 16805, for the same issue cooling were not there in lower body of refrigerator. An engineer came on 13th May 2011, advised that two components were not working due to which cooling is not working, He changed both of the components and took  Rs1700/- from us.
    And this is the third time I had raised the call for the same issue, on 28th May 2011, in the morning at 09: 44, Request number: 36450 for the same cooling issue,   no body visited yet, to resolve the query. TAT for resolving the query is 4hrs; however we have received call from Engineer in the evening, 19: 24.
    Nobody responding the query, ‘N’ numbers of call made to the customer care, they advise that they will arrange a call back from Senior however I have not received any of the single call.
    Issue is still pending, it is humble request to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

    I purchashed a Whirlpool water cooler on May 25th of 2009 from Lowes in New Carrollton Maryland. One week after the two year warranty ended the cooler began to leak. I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that they did not handle thier cooler repair and was give a number to Kemflow who they said handle the cooler repairs. After waiting for about eight minutes I was told that the water cooler I paid over $160.00 could not be repaired. My question is why would a company such as Whirlpool make
    products that can not be repaired? I will no longer buy Whirlpool products
    now that I no they are throw away products.

    I purchased a Whirlpool 27" wall oven Model #RBS275PVQO4. What a piece of junk!!! They have some serious quality control issues at the factory! You can't install the vertical or horizontal trim pieces because the holes in the trims do not align with the holes in the tabs of the oven - they miss by 3.5mm.  One of the oven lights is hanging out of the hole in the back and I can't get it back in - the other one is loose. The mounting plate for the bottom heating element at the back is so crooked it's ridiculous - it is out of alignment by 6mm, so one of the support feet for the element is floating up in the air. I cannot believe they allow products like this to leave the factory in this condition. I am taking this piece of junk back to the store and getting a Wolf oven even though it is three times the price.
