Whirlpool Products NOT Reliable

Hello, my family purchased a Whirlpool Waher and Dryer (Duet) about 6 weeks ago. The Washer stopped working on 1Aug2007. The earliest repair date that I coudl get form A&E Appliance is 16Aug2007.
Since we bought the pair through Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) they helped us get the defective Wahser replaced. We have hauled several load of laundry to the laundromat since 1Aug. I cannot believe that the MAde in America products that we spent our hard earned money on broke so soon, and were going to take almost 3 weeks to be repaired.
Incidentally, the Controller Panel went out on the Washer and AAFES is still waiting for WHirlpool to send them 2 of the 4 parts ordered on 3Aug to repair the Washer. We will not invest in another Whirlpool product. I am glad that I went on the website and saw the manufacturer names associated with Whirlpool. Please do not send me another "canned" email response to my query. I already have 3-4 of them, they just make me more irate that I spent our hard earned money on your product(s).

Called "customer service" and asked about standing by quality of product and was told there was nothing that they could do to help me. I've taken several pictures, which are pretty definitive of the poor quality, and plan on taking this further.
I find it hard to believe, in this day and age, that there are still companies who will not make the extra effort to accommodate their customers and try to find solutions to problems.

Type: Heavy Duty Thu Twin: dt/t-ele 2406021 fm30-----twin upright washer dryer. This I believe this unit has a disgusting design defect.
On the top of the agitator arm is a lid you remove to pour in laundry sofftener (and perhaps soap).. This is supposed to be a filter at the top of the agitator. What it does do VERY EFFECTIVELY is accumulate all types of crap from each and every load of laundry so that only after a few washed you're stuck with a filthly fecal-looking mess of all types of flotsam and jetsam from your laundry slurry.
The only way to effectively clean this mess out is to detach the agitatior (it disconnects about 14 " down from the top where this laundry fluid cap is located). Then get it to a outside hose and thourought spray all the excrement out (and no my laundry doesn't typically contain anything unusual or unordinary).
So recognizing this as a likely design defect that WHIRLPOOL, more likely than not, did a little math and economics and determined that the cost to fix this problem wasn't worth simply taking calculated risk to correct since most folks wouldnt notice it. I therefore contacted Whilpool's Customer Service Dept in I then contacted Whilpool’s customer service headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI 49022 Phone: (269) 923-5000 Web: www.whirlpoolcorp.com and spoke to several custormer service representatives who wanted me to pay for a service call to come out to take a look at this problem and try to fix it. I Again patiently explained that there was nothing to fix: that this was apparently a DESIGN problem AND WAS DOING EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. And thus there was nothing to repair.
I explained what I wanted was something like free soap, washer tabs to clean my washer unit, and/or any other sample products or coupons (preferable all of the above and more for the aggrivation and run-aroun they were serving me in trying to resolve this matter) that would compensate me for not getting what I paid for and more importantly for the time I spend cleaning out the faultly designed agitator that wouldn't need to be cleaned out at all had it merely been designed correctly in the first place. Can any one who works for Whirlpool please assist me in obtaining some for of recompense this matter? my email is ssparks2@hawaii.rr.com 1-808-947-8076. Thank you.
Just bought a side-by-side Whirlpool ref @ $1,600 last Oct, and in a month or two the refrigerator side (not the freezer side)
all our foods are frozen - almost everyday. Our vegetables are frozen as ice eventhough, we put it at a lowest cool temp.
We called up Whirlpool customer service and they
won't replace the unit instead recommended for a repair service. What? are they kidding us! Selling a defective product and just have it repaired after a month of use. Bad business practice. They better shut down. No can do. Our community has been writing
complaints lawsuits filing for there bad business practice.
