So far, this is the second call from this company within a week. The call tonight came in at 8:04 pm
Caller ID says "Lester, Inc." and the phone number is 606-833-0105. When my answering machine picked up, the caller hung up - same as last time.
I am on the Do Not call list.

I've been on the Do Not Call Registry since 2004, so what they are doing is simply wrong.
Everyone should file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Make sure your phone is registered with the FTC, then file your complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
File a complaint for EVERY phone call.
Also, send them a letter for EVERY phone call. The address is

Help the FTC build a case against the pests! They will only stop their practices when it is not economically feasible to do so.
Housemouse, you might want to take a little more time the next time you sign up for ANYthing online. That time should be used to read the fine print. As long as you agree to let either the outfit you're signing up with or their 'affiliates' or 'business partners' "share information" and perhaps contact you, you have just given scumsters like Lester, Inc. explicit permission to phone you. At which point you'll find the national DNC list no protection at all. I think it's sad, but that's the way it works. Note that the DNC also doesn't cover charities nor any political outfit. So much for the 'protection'.

They do not leave msg on recorder !
They are a large telemarketer, with several types of clients, including non-profits. File a complaint against them with the Federal Trade Commission.
Call the FTC at 877-382-4357.

So what is Lester Inc and why are they making these phone calls?

I cant speak for everyone at lesters inc because there are obviously a high turn around rate of employement at a call center but when someone tells me they dont want it i rebuttel the leasd twice and if they still dont want a free mag i reject it in the computer and i dont know what happens to your number after that. If the lead person tells me to " place them on their do not call list" i do so immediatly and turn it in to a supervisor.....
I truely am sorry for all your greviencies but thing about how many ppl work there (100) on a computer dialer and there are only about four pages of complaints on this well known web site in allmost two years.
