So far, this is the second call from this company within a week.  The call tonight came in at 8:04 pm
Caller ID says "Lester, Inc." and the phone number is 606-833-0105. When my answering machine picked up, the caller hung up - same as last time.

I am on the Do Not call list.

    we are on the do not call list and we have been recieving calls from these people both night and day at least twice a week for about a year.

    I googled this company to find out who was calling us repeatedly (we have caller ID). Thank you for the information. We are on the do not call list, so next time I will file a complaint.

    First of all the thing to do is anwser the phone, when they ask for Mr or MRS...... say hold on let me go get them for you. Place the phone next to radio or turn your tv on real loud and just leave them on hold until they hang up. These clowns only make minimum wage and they get a "BONUS" when they sell their crap. When they realize they are the one getting the run around they WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE. Works every time.

      Actually, the workers doesn't get incentives or anything but regular pay. Though I will admit, I've heard from the people they call, you can't imagine how rude, disrespectful & right down stupid American people are. No wonder the US is losing ground to the foreigners! Just saying..

    I got a call tonight 2/23/2010 around 6:15.  My answering machine answered.  There was no messge.
    I checked out the company on the computer.  
    I have no idea why they called me.  I am a Sr. Citizen who does not receive any magazines.
    I hope they do not become a nuisance.  I am on the Do Not Call List.

    Dana you better tell your mom to wise up and quit bugging people. As for the rest of you if you call them back and listen to the message you can put your number on the do not call list. I know that if your already on the DNC list that you shouldn't have to do this AGAIN. but it's that or keep getting upset at the repeat phone calls that they make at stupid hours to your house or business.

    Interestingly, the area code on caller ID was 203, which is a CT number -- but when I reverse-white-paged it, it says they're in Kentucky.  Hmmmm.

    the number for lester inc I received is 203-481-8212.  I am also on the do not call list.  They ask for my husband, when I tell them he's not in they just hang up.

    Ditto!  Keep geting calls from Lester Inc, obviously I do not answer AND they leave NO meesage.  What good is the "No Call" list anyway, we are getting more and more of this crap!

    I then started guessing extensions- bingo
    try extension 1001
    Ask them to take you off of the list

    I've been getting these calls and opt to ignore them; of course the caller hangs up. Got another one today and decided to check out Lester Inc. If the company's legit, they'd leave messages instead of annoying hangups.

    The statement "The only way they are exempt is if your number they are calling is a business." is not at all correct. The DNC list can only stop "cold calling". (When a company purchases your number for the purpose of telemarketing). If you purchased anything or requested information from a company or their affiliates, they can legally contact you.  You must specifically request to the company that you do not want to be contacted by them. Non profit organizations, political and collection agencies are also exempt.  For more information visit

However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request.  You should keep a record of the date you make the request.
