So far, this is the second call from this company within a week.  The call tonight came in at 8:04 pm
Caller ID says "Lester, Inc." and the phone number is 606-833-0105. When my answering machine picked up, the caller hung up - same as last time.

I am on the Do Not call list.

It should be that simple but apparently the only simple thing is the minds that work for this company.

Asking to be removed does nothing. They continue to call and harass people.

We don't get free magazines and We don't sign up for anything at trade shows. Yet they call our office constantly. We ask them to stop but they don't.

We are going to turn them in to the DA and press charges for harassment. @ $10K a violation it is now worth the effort.

Thank you for the 800 number. I have called it 3 times now. I didn't want to pay for a long distance call to do it before. Why should I have to pay when they are invading my privacy.

Now every time I get a call form Lester,Inc I will call them back on their dime and play games with them for once.

When they quit calling me I will quit calling them.

I find this all quite comical... All of you who say you are professionals representing your business office should act in a professional manner. Being rude, cussing, etc., these people who are trying to make a living on $7.25 per hour doesn't seem very professional to me. How about this, ask to be put on Lester Inc. do not call list. FCC laws states you have to say those words!!! Yes. Our government makes laws for protection and this is one of them with many loop holes. Ask for it to be sent to you in writing. Lester Inc. will do so. If you are on the DNC list and someone (employee, owner,CEO,or anyone else)has entered your tel# on a postcard, bus. meeting, web site, conference, or anywhere then that person is to blame. Not Lester Inc. THE PERSON WHO LESTER INC. IS CALLING TO CONTACT IS TO BLAME. So be angry with whomever they are asking to speak with. And if that person does not decline the subscription then they will call you back. So that means that the office manager, assistant, secretary or any insubordinate cannot just say they don't want it anymore and be done with the call. The contact name has to deny the subscription. Don't just hang up after screaming DON'T CALL ME ANYMORE! That doesn't work. Take me off your calling list does work. Try it. You'll be surprised how wonderful life can be with a little patience and a smile!!!!

I tell them that I can't talk to them now, I am masturbating. That usually does the trick.

Lester is only trying to give away some money they found in an Egyption bank account.  All you have to do is send them $2000 to cover some legal fees and it's yours.  Fools!

Non-profits are exempt from the DNC list. If you do business with an affiliate of the company who Lester, Inc. represents, they are also exempt. All you have to do is say that you wish to be put on "Lester, Inc.'s DNC list. They will not call your number for any business that purchases Lester's services.I work there on a part-time basis for non-profit organizations. Most people are polite and many are responsive and that is why organizations use Lester's services. It is effective and if you do not wish to be called, you just need to say so. It is that simple. I work there to help support a disabled family member and her children. I consider it a legitimate job and I am proud to help my family stay off the public dole. I have no probem working for this company as a legitimate and effective business. Few people are rude or abusive when I speak with them. So. if you do not want calls, say so. politely and we will respond.

I believe that the "do not call" is a farce,  When the answering machine picks up,  it is the same as you answering,  which under the rules negates the order.  Just my opinion.+

We have been getting calls from Lester, Inc every night.  I do not answer any call unless I know who they are or if a message is left and I see fit to return the call  How do you get these people to stop!?

you people must not be able to read
Put me on your do not call list. 8 simple words, not we're all set, don't call again, take us off your list, or anything else. If you seriously do not want the publication, and the subscriber won't verify that for the reps, then that is what you say no matter who you are. Those are the FCC laws,

YOU HAVE TO SAY THESE SPECIFIC WORDS 'PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST' and regardless of tone or who it is, they have to. Only those words. BUT, it would only be for the publication you're calling. If you want Lester to stop calling then say "Put me on your do not call list, and your in house do not call list" HAS TO BE THOSE EXACT WORDS VERBATIM but if you recieve ANY type of subscription, you won't be contacted to renew it and it may expire and if you get a paid sub. then you may miss out on special offers from the publisher.
    So, it's up to you.

JUST SAY IT WORD FOR WORD THOUGH OR YOU MAY BE CALLED BACK.

Ya know, nevermind... It's clear that you people have no intention of actually doing anything for yourselfs or you would have read through this, and yes there is some misinformation on here but the above IS true. Saying PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST works, but if you're too stupid/fat/lazy/incompetant to do that, then you deserve to get called back because you're just a bunch of rude [***].

I had been getting calls from Lester, inc. for a couple of weeks and several times a day.  Today I answered and they were collecting for WNET Thirteen in NY.  I told them never to call me again.
