They keep calling my phone to tell me that I need to act now on my credit card.  They gave me the option to "press 1 to speak to an operator" and when I did, I asked her why they are calling my phone.  (Prepaid, btw, so it is costing me $$$$$$$).  Yikes! She just hung up on me.  Now I'm upset.

I dialed the number back and it cannot be reached.

So.... I looked up the number in 411.com, found out they are going through Hawaiin Telecom.  (Those are the next people I am calling, along with the BBB.)

The number most recently used was 971-220-1771 and came up "PHONE" on caller ID. This company calls both my house and cell phone repeatedly. I have requested on several occasions to have my name and number removed from their call list. I get hung up on. This company is bordering on harassment.

So, has anyone found a way to stop these calls? I am so sick of them. I get a minimum of 4 calls every day. All from different numbers. I always push 1 to talk to someone and they yell at me for wasting their time. What the hell? I am so annoyed.

Been getting these almost everyday now for months!  Different times of the day and night!  It is incredibly annoying! As soon as I try to speak to a "representative" and ask to be removed from their call list, the phone goes dead!  They just hang up if you don't give them what they want.  What can we do about this?  It is annoying not to mention frustrating....

Me too.  I continue to get daily calls from Card Services.  This time I pretended to "take the bait" by acting like I wanted to lower my interest rate, so I pushed 1 and stayed on the line (when all I really wanted was information on the company so that I could proceed to STOP the nuisance calls).

I was very polite, and when I got transfered to upper-management and I asked, politely, that they remove my name and number from their call list, but he hung UP on me before I could finish my plea!

I was VERY polite and kind, and yet got hung up on by them.

And the daily calls, I'm sure, will continue.

How do we STOP this?  Does anybody know?

Wars on. Every time those knuckle heads call I'm going to press one. Then they are going to get an ear full of air horn. I've asked them to stop calling twice and the nutless men hang up on me. Those jerks psycho call. They have called me five times within two hours. Thanks for the heads up on the 800 #.

I get calls every day from these people!!  How can I make it stop?  I've tried being nice.  I've tried being not so nice...  I have gotten downright nasty....  The last one told bm to settle down or I would have a heart attack. If I did it would be on her and her cronies.  There has to be a way to stop them.

As an employee of a telephony services software company I would like to suggest that you call your phone provider and ask to subscribe to a telemarketer call screen service.  This service will screen all of your out of area calls (LD)  giving the robo call an option of pressing 1 to complete the call.  Since the machine can't press one, you will not even hear the call as it will time out. Unless they are calling from your local calling area this should take care of it.  If grandma is from out of area she will have to press one to complete the call, but some screening services will remember grandmas number so she won't have to keep pressing one.  I know you don't want to pay to make these criminals go away, but until the feds physically catch them and make examples of them, these guys will continue to operate.

People, all of the numbers that you have listed with the exception of 1-800-218-8787 are spoofed numbers.  Frauduantly using someone else's number instead of their own.  How do I know?  They used my number to call me one day.  This is in violation of FCC and FTC rules (laws?).  FCC and FTC will not heed our complaints.  Nothing will be done by them to stop this.  The have no power to enforce the Do Not Call lists.
Shutting down the organization for a couple of days a year is not enforcement.  Fines of $1,000,000.00 are.

    Prove me wrong please.

I just received a call and explained to them that my number has been on both the Federal Do Not Call list and my states Do Not Call list for three years, the girl responded "the is no call list" and hung up.

    Nothing will be done.

I will now call the 1-800-218-8787 number 10 times a day, which will coast me nothing, but will cost them $.  Be sure to place *67 in front of their nomber, *6718002188787 to block your number from being displayed.

I have been getting these calls for months and months!  Usually 3-4 times a week from different numbers.  I have pressed "1" several times and I say "Take my phone number off-------everyone has hung up on me.

I am so tired of these.  I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL list but that hasn't helped.

another option is too press 1 and when the person answers, have one of those little air horns ready and give them a blast into the phone. it will blow their freaking headsets off!

I get these ridiculous calls all the time - the female voice escalating how this is my second and final notice and it is important that I talk to them. I am on the do not call list, too. Once I was home and near the phone when they called and pressed 1 to connect with someone. I got a man I could hardly understand, his accent was so thick. He said his name was David; I am a female and his name was no more David than mine is. I told him I was on the do not call list and to stop calling me. He had my name, since he asked if I was (my name) and said I would not be called anymore. I asked for their phone number and he gave me a toll-free number. For about a week I got no calls from them then I got another one and I tried to call them to tell them it was THEIR second and final notice to stop calling me and of course the phone number was not in service. Probably a fake number they give out to people who request their phone number. I told David I have one credit card I pay off every month and do not need their services, but I feel sorry for people who really do have large debt and think this company is looking for help them. I am sure they rip a lot of people off. Wish they could be stopped.

I have been getting these calls for over 2 years now. I have gone round and round with them. One of their telemarketers has my home number and calls me everyday to just cuss me out. He tells my wife to "suck his c*#k and hangs up. He calls back all day long to just cuss us out. He calls me by my name. He doesn't speak about card services. He just starts cussing us out.

I have made police reports. I have called the FTC. I called the Attorney Generals office. I called the police department where the calls are coming from. Nothing.

The police have stated their is nothing that can be done about this. I wonder why? These calls are coming from a business location somewhere. Why can't the FBI go in and shut the place down? Why can't the phone company block all the calls going out from these companies? There is a federal law against this.

My new policy is to tell them that 'I just put a curse on them" This gets their attention. I then tell them that soon something terrible will happen to them or a family member. It kinda of freaks them out. I know this won't help but at least i have some fun.

Just received call this morning. Called ID stated CCS. I did not know what it was and made mistake of answering. They wanted to help with lowering my credit card interest rate. Gentleman was very nice and friendly and kept asking for my credit card #'s. I did not want to give them to him. He said he could not charge on them without the 3 letter code on back. He only wanted my cc# and the last 4 of my ss# to validate with the cc company my balances and work on my behalf to lower my interest rate. That I needed at least $500 unencumbered on each account.

I told him that I wanted to check things out and for him to call me back tomorrow. How STUPID am I.
The last 4 of my social?????????????? and my credit cards. He can make a card and go to any gas station and put the info in and bang--I'm gone

This information is not correct, I called Mr. Polinick…Verizon and Terremark are not associated with CHS. He was nice enough to provide a couple of links that he found on this…not sure how much it will help, but here they are anyway; http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-07-977A1.pdf

Ive had the same experiences as everyone else. Just got a call a few minutes ago and I played along with them to get more information out of them. I got an address of "125 E. Maint ST. Orlando FL" she wouldnt give me the zip. Then she wanted the last 4 numbers of my social security number. I told them no, at that moment the woman became beligerent. I think the AG needs this one. The caller ID number was 520-441-2785.

Well, I had them hang up on me, believe it or not. After about the 9th call in just a couple of weeks, I thought I would have a little fun. Pressed #1, and he gave his little gimmick talk, and I told him I would be very interested as I just made a $2 million purchase. He seemed to get quite excited!!! Then I asked to speak to his supervisor as I am on the Do Not Call list. That is when he hung up on me........quite funny. I had a telemarketer hang up on me!!!!!
