I received a phone call from a women named Anita at my work place. She is telling me that I owe a debt to WaMu. I told her no I don't. She goes on about this account and tells me I'm going to pay these fees. Again I told her that is not my account. She proceeds to start yelling and screaming at me. Tells me that they will take legal action against me. I hang up on her, she calls back. I was trying to get to the bottom of this, and she would listen or answer my concerns or questions.

I'm very upset at this point, I go home and speak to my husband. I decide to call again, Anita starts to scream and yell again. I asked her to please let me ask my questions. She tells me that I need a time out and that she is going to put me on hold. I hung up on her again. My husband tries to speak to her, and she tell him she doesn't want to speak to him to put me back on the phone. He then asked to speak to her supervisor and someone in charge, she said no and she doesn't have too.

One hour later, I tried again. I supposedly got to speak to manger. I explained to him how rude Anita was to me. I told him I was trying to get to the bottom of this because this is not my debt. He gave me the information I needed so that I could proceed to get this fixed. I explained that this is a mistake. He said that he will take care of my complaints about Anita. I just couldn't believe how rude this company was being.

They have to verify your social by law due to hippa laws to insure they are talking to the correct person. DUH! You sound like just another dead beat trying to avoid paying for something.

    Grow up
So what are you bitching about? This is perfectly legal. It is called skip tracing. They should not call you anymore now that they know that the person does not live there. If they do contact the FCC.

    Your a moron
You are incorrect but i wont argue with you.

    Are you sure about that?
This must have just recently changed because I was a collector up until March of 2010 and have never heard this.

    Your a moron
Putting phone numbers on the do not call list does not apply to collectors you moron. The only way you can stop them from calling is to send them a cease and desist letter. At which time they must stop calling you but can still contact you via mail. Sitting on your ass wont do anything you have to be pro-active.

    Do this
They are allowed to auto withdraw from your account with your permission. We did it all the time when I worked for a loan company. However, if you have disability that is deposited into that account or retirement legally they cannot touch it. Only thing I know to tell you is contact the atty general in your state.

The only way is to notify them in writting to cease and desist. Then if they dont sue the crap out of em.

    Your a moron
Your a moron. The do not call list does not pertain to collections calls. The only way to stop them is a cease and desist letter to the company at which time they then have to correspond with you via mail. Changing your number, forwarding to voicemail, etc wont work. We've seen it all and done it all. We can skip trace your number using several different data bases and even pulling your credit report. You would be real surprised how easy it is to find people that dont want to be found.

I am not sure if this is alegit firm or not, but I have also recived automated calls from ER Solutions during work hours.

When I call them back I get the message, "You have reached ER Solutions.  Due to extraordinary high call volume, we are unable take your call.  Please leave a message at the tone.”

Then, after I wait, it says, “Sorry this user’s mailbox is full.”

I am then left in what seems like an answering machine automated menu.  I am currently working with a firm and plan to file a complaint.  From what I understand, if found in violation of the federal law, they can be fined $1,000 (I think this can be done in small claims court as well.  I already have a matter before a NJ Superior Court.

I hopr others take action as well.  Best of luck!

This company (ER Solutions) calls my cell phone every morning between 9AM-11AM. They never leave a message, and when you call the number back, it says that due to "extremely high call volume" you have to leave a message, but if you hit 0 it informs you the mailbox is full. So that is completely silly you can't even get a hold of someone.

I called a number on page 1 of here for ER solutions, but turns out it went to "TXU Energy" so...not sure if they're making fake numbers or if the person who posted the information was just wrong. Anyway, I called the number on ER Solutions company profile, and trying to reach someone but it just rings then I get a voicemail for "ER Solutions" which i hit 0 and try again to reach someone.

This sounds like they're the same kind of scam company as CM Associate Group who are based out of Corona, CA. So here are some tips:

    1. If you get told you owe a debt, ask them when the debt occurred, and when the last payment was made. Then find out your statute of limitations for the state it occurred in, and see if they are illegally attempting to collect on a debt that is outside of the range. If it is, tell them flat out.

    2. If it's within the limitations, ask them when they purchased the debt, and state you want a certified mail sent to you with the proof of purchase of your debt showing they now own it. If they cannot provide proof, you do not have to pay a dime. You ONLY pay the company that OWNS the debt. If no one owns it, or this company purchased it but won't provide proof, then you can't pay it's that simple.

    3. Contact your local attorney general's office immediately. Give them all the harassment information including any dates, times, and more. Why? This tells them that another company is trying to scam and harass people and it gives them something to investigate.

    4. Contact your local police department and open a case regarding the harassment. Contrary to what the debt collectors want you to believe, yes your police will get involved. What they will do is begin an investigation with everything you send them, and begin to work with the local PD's in the area the numbers are located from to bring down these people. It will take a long time, but having the report on file helps.

    5. MOST IMPORTANT - STOP ALL COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMPANY. Every time you pick up that phone, whether it's to cuss them out or even be polite, you are SHOWING them your weaknesses. These people PREY on you, they listen for when you become calm in your voice, or get angry. They look for what buttons to push, they look to see if your number works, there are many many things and when you pick up that phone you re-open the door. STOP. It's frustrating, it's annoying, it makes you lose sleep, it makes you feel like a victim, yes. But stop all contact IMMEDIATELY. These people would rather pay their phone bill every month on these calls knowing they tricked people into giving them money. If you never pick up and never pay, they will move on. But if you pick up that phone they will go "Hmm this person could be tricked" and then never give up.

    6. GET A COPY OF YOUR CREDIT REPORT - You may not owe a debt they are asking for, but if they are saying you owe money, it means you do SOMEWHERE. If you think you do not have any debts, check your credit report immediately for fraud/identity theft. These companies will pull credit reports, see you have debts that are nearing the end of the statute of limitations and that is what they are doing, they are going after those people trying to scam them. Sometimes they will even say it IS a debt you owe but a few phone calls will prove they don't own it as I said. CHECK YOUR REPORT - www.annualcreditreport.com is free.

I hope this helps you all. I have been dealing with another company like this for months now, except the other one claims to have process servers and there are "open law suits" when there aren't. It's how I know so much.

Wow - that's the only time I've been able to speak with someone about their daily calls to someone named Gina Hernandez - not ME!  The first person I spoke with said they don't have my number in their system. But then the operator said she would take it out, so who knows.  I hope it works.  This has been going on, off and on, for years!!

I've had positive results calling this number as well. I was getting almost daily collection calls from ER Solutions. My month-old cell account came with a recycled phone number, and from the sounds of it, this man never paid a bill in his life. Very frustrating, but once I tried the 877-371-3188 number posted, there was a PERSON on the end of the line and she was professional, understanding, and VERY helpful in resolving this issue for me.

My thanks to the anonymous poster for listing this number.

I wonder if your Gina Hernandez knows my Jose Monroe Alvarez... lol. I had the same response initially; first my number wasn't in their system, but I'd also always hung up and didn't know the last name of the guy who had the delinquent account, so I had to call back.

She said she'd look through her Joses to find him and remove my number from their system today.

Now if I could just get his friends to stop sending me texts in Spanish, I'd be set.
