I laughed out loud as I read the mail today.
Before me was the most ridiculous post card solicitation. Highlighted on
the post card were the words FINAL NOTICE.
The notice explained  that the VEHICLE'S FACTORY WARRANTY HAS
EXPIRED, OR MAY EXPIRE SOON DEPENDING ON MY CURRENT MILEAGE.
The card also explained that I MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO 5
ADDITIONAL YEARS OR 125,000 MILES.
Imagine how I felt.  Naturally I'm concerned about the rising costs of
repairs. I'm also concerned about proper maintenance and up keep for
an automobile.
But friends, this must be a SCAM!
My car, now get ready for this is way past the warranty stage. And I have  a really great mechanic, in fact I have 3.  Now are you ready?
MY CAR WAS BUILT IN 1985. I'll repeat that. I drive a 1985 GMC.

My wife and I recieve these calls DAILY!!! I am so sick of it! It's a complete waste of time to "Press 1 to be placed on our 'do not call' list." I've done that to many times and to no avail! Not to mention they rarely ever call from the same number.

I have received that call probably about 50 times since i bought my new car, so when i heard it i thought What? my car is brand new, theres no way. So i answered it and the rep told me it was going to expire, so i asked " What kind of car does it say i have?" and he said "Well, What kind of car do you own." So at the point i said " Whos name do you have down in your records?" and they hung up on me!! I tried to call back and it said "The number you have dialed is no in service" SCAM!!!!!They have called my work phone, cell phone, and house phone. The second time they called i told them i was 13 and not even old enough to drive and they hung up on me again!!

WE RECEIVE CALLS AT LEAST 4 TIMES A WEEK SAYING THE FACTORY WARRANTEE IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE.  THIS IS A BUSINESS LINE THEY ARE CALLING AND I HAVE ASKED 3 TIMES FOR THEM TO REMOVE OUR NUMBER FROM THEIR CALLING LIST AND WE RE REGISTERED WITH THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  EVERYTIME I TELL THEM TO REMOVE MY NUMBER THEY HANG UP ON ME.  WE DON'T HAVE CALLER ID, BUT THE NUMBERS THAT ARE LISTED ON THESE POSTS ARE ALL DISCONNECTED!  WHAT CAN WE DO??????  I WANT TO REPORT THEM TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, BUT CAN'T BECAUSE I HAVE ZERO INFORMATION...WHAT CAN I DO?

These folks can possibly be stopped by contacting their telephone service Provider and logging a complaint. Here is the telephone provider for the unpublished phone number (202) 495-7124)that called me, the provider for this particular number is level 3 Communications: http://www.level3.com/index.cfm?pageID=235  The only question is whether all of the various numbers they call from are from the same provider?

something bigger-you can laugh @ me but have you ever heard of the coded messages-the ones that only your subconsciousness perceives?so I'm not sure how they do that-like get the letters of the real message, scramble them so that they seem and sound like "the warranty on your vehicle bla bla bla"...and in the end of it all you involuntarily expose yourself to a brainwashing scheme by listening to a short message. You'll be surprised that the most complicated schemes of mind control come down to something so trivial and harmless but it only messes with your senses-seeing, hearing, smell and taste.

ok so I do have fun with them I ask them which car they are calling about ? I tell them I have several .I name new cars a year apart . I name top cars .Porche ,Mercedes , BMW etc , they are never several years apart .I panic . I say omg I thought this car had a warrenty . I speak broken English .I ask for their home # to call them back later after I go pic up my 1952 ford from the shop .I speak Chinese . Now mind you they call from several #s and if you get that far they are hooked . I also no there is no way to be removed from their lists I have tried . You also call back the # and it does not receive incoming calls .I always ask to speak to a manager and cry I did not no my cars warrenty expired I give them a ficticious name and credit card info .I repeat when they tell me its not valid I cry let me get a new card . Oh my God I say I am so poor are you ? I always say YOU HAVE BEEN PUNKED AT THE END THEY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY .WASTE OF TIME YES BUT IT ALWAYS MAKES ME AND MY KIDS LAUGH .

The only way you can pursue a complaint about these calls is by getting the company responsible. I'm keeping track of my efforts to do just this on a blog. Check it out: http://factorywarranty.wordpress.com/

This is a scam- and I've been asking them to remove me off the list for months now. And they never do. They just hang up on me. I just got the call and pressed 1 to speak to someone- I asked to speak to a superviser- once I did they asked if I'd like to be taken off the call list while I waited!

Don't go off, just mess with them.  While at work (at a grocery store, they call the damn grocery stores too, so you're not being stalked) I told them I needed a warranty on some of the cash registers in our front end, a monster truck, my manager told them he needed his ferrari covered haha.  I've received two phone calls on my cell which I have recorded, one I tell them I have a 2005 space ship and the make is Nasa, I get cursed at, and the one that happened this morning is of me asking to get my 1978 banana seat huffey covered.  The 'customer service representitive' tried making me feel like an idiot (he failed) and proceeded to hang up on me.  What losers!  Give them a [***] time, mess with them!

Hell yeah man, I've told them I have a monster truck, a space ship, cash registers at my work, an old bicycle to piss them off, it's hilarious, you should try that lol.

I think the trick is to find the owner
Find the owner of the company and put him out there, harass his family, send him death threats, make his children afraid to leave the house. I'm currently working on looking up his address and any information on him I can find.
