I got a call on my cell phone regarding credit card debt relief. . I was transferred to nakisha,  asked if I wanted to continue, they asked for $600 or $60.00 to send me the paperwork and for the consultation. When I asked them what it was for she said they would deduct from my first payment but would not tell me what the money was for FINALLY SHE  said yes.

THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD APPLY TO MY CREDITORS BUT WHEN THEY CONVINCED ME TO RECORD MY VOICE THAN THEY SAID IT WAS ONLY A FEE FOR THE CONSULTATION!!!

. No fees should be sent to anyone for additional information requested on a company or program

she has been harrasing me telling that i have to pay this amount or else! and that they can take me to court becaues they have my voice accepting!! !  unfortunally i gave many personal information!!
what happends now??
i never signed anything!!!!

    I work for a legit debt management company in the midwest.  We hear about these sorts of scams quite frequently.  ANYONE with complaints about this (or any other)company should file it on the federal trade commission website.  One complaint may not get any attention - but if they start piling up against a particular company it will get noticed.  Please organize your thoughts and cut the vulgarity.  Write a simple description of your situation.

    I LOVED messing with the "auto warranty" companies.  I'd ask them which car they were calling about.  They said the one with the warranty about to expire.  I said that was really interesting cause I don't want warranties on two cars and I just bought the other car so it's still under manufacturers warranty for another 3 years.  Of course, all the numbers here were made - up - was just plain fun messing with the telemarketers until they hung up on me.  LOL!

    I am doing some background chencking on the VERY same group. And got the very same recoded so called legal contract. Its the very same name , same office address, same  car salesmean ship. I did finally speak with my daughter and she said to do some google search on this company befor signing the "contract" they sent me with the VERY exact same money promices. I immedately went into my bank and changed my account number. So there is no way they can deduct their "fee" from my bank account. I said I wanted to sent them a monthly check and this company was very adimate that they needed to have withdrawl access to my acccount which means they can take ALL my money, which is my disablility money. No thanks. Im going to do business ONLY with a company in my state. I should have googled first before saying anything to them. But they were all about"Helping Me" > yea , right. Its better to be safe than sorry.

    I too gaught caught up in the Consumer Law Group. Thanks for the legal advice and adding as link for me to save and check out. I want a legitmate company in my OWN STATE. I asked my banker by all the fly by night companies are in Florida and he said because Florida has very lax comsumer protection laws. I have already changed my account number and will cance out with them.

    you said the consumer law firm worked for you.  i have done this without my husband's consent, and as you can imagine, i am worried sick as to their legitamcy.  you make me feel somewhat easier about them, but still worried. thank you for your comments

    I don't have any personal issue at hand with these companies as I know well enough how to handle my money. However, after reading and hearing about such "Consumer Credit Companies" and "Consumer Law Groups" taking advantage of the less-educated of financially adept, I decided to find the "local offices" or "branches" of these registered institutions in my home state of Florida. So far I've been able to track 16 so-called institutions come back to one business located and registered in Deerfield Beach, FL at 1166 W Newport Center Dr., Deerfield Beach, FL 33442 as the official address.

    Some companies listed under the above address:
    Arcas, Inc., Flachi-Gravel Pit, LLC, Flachi Ocala, LLC, G M Financial Group Limited, Inc., Gm Financial Group Limited, Inc., Hny, LLC, Jams 401, LLC, Medical Arts at Village Center, L.L.C., Universal Card Systems, Inc., Young.

    I was able to contact some of the emplyees at these businesses and one name seems to appear everywhere: James L. Young. Either Mr. Young is directly involved or associated with the following people in many of these companies; Adam P Ekstam, Alex H Dickson, Anthony Zammuto, Arnold Goldin, David Tebeau, Edward L Gonzalez, Edward L Gonzalez, Edward L Gonzalez, Eric A Kay, Henry C Schuyler, Michael Patterson, Rich Friedman, Scott H Lutwak, Wm Patrick Vollendorf and many more.

    I've compiled a short list of mass emailers, servers, current registerd addresses and people to contact with their phone numbers. If you want to get even, be MY GUEST. Have friends and family call or email them too!

    did you finish the program?  I just spoke with someone the other day, and keep going back and forth about doing it.  What did you do about your credit after you finished the program?  Is it just completely shot?

    If you are going to use a debt management company, CHECK THEM OUT!  If you think you have been wronged you have many ways to fight back. Contact the Attorney General in Florida and file a complaint, and file a complaint with the the state bar. If you are dealing with the office in Boca Raton, you can go to WWW.FLABAR.ORG and look up Michael Metzner, Esq. who is the President and a bar attorney. His record is clean because nobody has complained. it is little known that an attorney is responsible for the conduct of the employees. Make sure you have all the facts, this is not only putting pressure on the company but the owner as well. This will take up a lot of his personal time and may cause him to miss out on a luncheon or two. You have hired an ATTORNEY to HELP you what help did you get, have you spoke to an attorney? If you did you have the right to speak to him and not some legal aid.  Turn up the heat. It's your hard earned money. Dont make it their easily scammed money. If they failed to properly disclose all the steps, pro's and cons, and repercussions of their direction to you. THAT IS UNETHICAL and worthy of a bar complain.   Yes they have helped many people but at what cost. if you debts are totaling 15000 at he time of signing up, and you are current with your creditors with a 8% interest, they send a letter to send all communication to them because are are in a hardship and they will REPRESENT YOU for your debts, the creditor increases Your interest rate to 29.9% and charge you late and or over limit fees then charges off you debt. Your credit score plummets,they charge you $5000 retainer. the balance could be nearly doubled if the creditor if the creditor files a law suit THEN settle for 40 - 50 percent and then charge you again 25% settlement fee. now think about it. did they help you or did they use the title of saying you have an attorney, and deceive you telling you they would HELP and protect you, or  did they use you lack of knowledge aid you in helping them help themselves?    think about it

    "The Consumer Law Group, P.A." located in Florida uses Indian telemarketers to sell their services.  They call and call.

    I gave these clowns too much information THEN I googled them and found all of these complaints.  I changed my bank account immediately and did not sign their contract.  I plan to send them the cancellation notice on Monday, well within the 10 day period.

    They do have my SS number and cell phone but no account numbers on credit cards.

    I hope I am now protected from being hit with any charges.

    Any comments from anyone??

    I received a call from Paramount Services, claiming to be a credit counseling company. I have always been so careful to not give any personal information out over the phone and internet. First, it was a couple of my credit card companies, then those 2 acct numbers. I was transferred several times until I was speaking to David, a Consumer Law Group representative. Next thing I know I agree to a monthly ACH withdrawal from my checking account along with my banking information and SS #. Then, I am transferred to Tyrone, a legal aid from CLG to verify my info.

    Immediately after I hung up the phone I felt so uneasy and completely suckered into this situation. I called my husband and with him on the line called CLG to cancel the agreement. They said everything was cancelled and I will not be charged any fees nor will they withdraw money from my bank acct. But

    now I'm always going to be concerned about my credit and feel I need to hire a credit monitoring company.

    I am still feeling so uncomfortable about everything. I had to close my bank acct and I will be sending the termination page from the contract I was sent via email. I can't believe I let my guard down like that. I will never let myself be fooled again!

    Keep an eye on your accounts for a while. If they touch your account complain to them put a stop payment through you bank. The chances are they failed to disclose all the information and can't hold you to a legal binding contract. If you are in Florida I know a few attorneys that would love to take out these scumbags. I know they fail to disclose certain things required by the Fl bar  and they violate their own contract that they have consumers sign .    Keep the site up to date

    I talked with this Debt Reduction Group today, and they kept referring to the Consumer Law Group of Boca Raton.  They explained their program and when I wouldn't give them my personal account information they got very angry.  That told me that something was not right.  They refused to mail the paperwork for review without the account info.  I talked with three of them (all with accents) and they kept repeating the same thing over and over.  I ended the call and refused to do business with these crooked characters. I'm glad I was able to Google them while I was on the phone, but I never give out personnal info to strangers anyway....especially those with shakey accents.  Watch out!!!!!

    ok Im hated, yeah a debt collector. I recently settled (or at least tried to settle an account). We came to a great deal for the person, then they backed out, that's a shame I was called back when she received a summons and wanted to settle the debt. She wasn't too happy when i told her what happened. now she is stuck with 4000 bucks instead of settling for under 900. Cant get a hold of them unless they can make enough money.  They know you will quit before they have to do something, then keep your money.   SUE THEM!!!!!
