I am being harrassed continuouly from 347-927-0838 and 347-287-6498. They say they are a law firm are trying to collect money for a payday loan I owe, yet they are not providing me with any proof that I owe this. One person told me it was USCash, I called them and they told me these people are scam artists and they receive numerous call everyday. These people are foreign and I can't hardly understand them, they are rude and I am not going to pay something I have no proof of.

I just received another phone call from ACLS. I was stupid and paid them a month and half ago.  Now they are trying to say that I owe them again.  They are so full of crap.  I tried calling the number back 770-504-5785 but the number has been disconnected. Sure does seem funny since they just called me on the number and give me the same number to call back on.  Something has to be done to stop these a**holes.

I am also being harassed by these same people. Last year I would receive up to 10 calls a day or more from them. They would also call my job. They also have my SS#somehow they have acquired it off the internet but they have given me a couple different names of payday loans that I never heard of. They quit calling for about 6 months and I thought I had gotten my message across to them that I was not falling for this. But the calls started again and when my daughter answered the phone and told the man I was not home he called her a liar. He said he was also from ALCS Law Firm and was in the law investigative department. Their accents are very thick and they claim to be in Florida but when you ask for someone who speaks English they claim they do. If you ask for a supervisor they put someone else on the phone who claims to be a supervisor and speaks no better than the other. They refuse to send documentation and they all have English names. This has to be the biggest fraud I have ever heard of and I know they must be getting someone to send them money or they would not keep this up. This is horrible and needs to be stopped somehow..

They have been calling me non stop at work and at my home and cell number.  leaving messages saying that I have taken out payday loans and I am being charged in my local court with three counts of fraud. Violation of federal banking regulation, theft by deception of an EFT, check fraud.  They call me using my information that they have obivously gotten when I did apply for payday loans online.  But the payday vendors that I do use are current and say that i should just file a complaint and ignore the calls it will stop.

i dont know what can be done they use different names and company names like ACLS, law office, legal department of law offices.  and they always get the receptionist who screens the calls to transfer the call to me by saying they are officer Chris Jones.

I am really tired and refuse to pay them because the amounts are so high payday loans dont give that kind of money anyway.

I have contactede the Federal Trade Commission; I have submitted two complaints and nothing has happened to date. I believe part of the problem is due to the numerous "fake" phone numbers they call from. I received 28...YES 28 calls from the same number over a two day period!  I was home sick a few days ago and received 8 calls within 10 minutes from 8 different phone numbers. I agree with several of the other posts.  They are falsely portraying themselves as peace officers...is that not a crime???  I would love to be there when they are finally arrested for what they are doing!

LOL...I did the same thing.  I even called and tried to order take out! Some jerk said, "You will stop calling or you will be arrested."  I said, "For ordering take out???"   They are so damn stupid! We all know they are scammers and yet they continue.

You should go to your financial institution and talk with an account rep. File a fraud claim and they will investigate on your behalf.  Chances are they may still reimburse you. Especially since this is a SCAM!  Don't give up!

    Cassandra,

STOP paying! This is a scam.  I realize this message is late, but I just started experiencing the same issues many of the folks on this blog are going through.  These jerks are foreigners probably overseas somewhere are who are trying to trying to scam hard working folks such as yourself. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and your state attonery general's office.

    OMG
The same thing is happening to me. They keep calling me and tellig me that they are taking me to court fr a payday loan. I called my bank to get all of my bank records from the time that they are saying I received a loan. Nothing was deposited. They called again and I told them that, they wanted a copy of my bank statement. Yeh right!! Don't think so. I told them I spoke with an attorney (i didn't)and  needed the original loan documents befor I could wrk with them. The man started screaming at me in heavily indian accented english, telling that I was going down. Making nasty threats. I told them that if they called me again, I as going to the police and filing a report, then  would be suing them. He hung up on me and hasn't called since.

Stop paying them. They cannot take you to court and even if they do they can only garnish your wages if you truly owe them this money which they would have to prove in court. These people are scammers. My bank actually refused to pay them the first time because their company was identified with high rates of fraud. However, the second time they tried to hit my bank they used a different company name and took $250 from my account. No matter what, even if the debt is legitimate they cannot put you in jail. You committed no fraud, you simply failed to pay a debt (if you truly owed it). That is not a crime.

I received 8 calls this morning.  I applied for a payday loan but was denied.  They calling my cell and home numbers.  They're likely calling from India.  They are rude and threatening.  Sad thing about it is that they do have my personal information from the loan I was denied from.  I was told today if I don't pay $1500 that I would be sued.  This is not a law firm, it's a bunch of crooks running the show.

Add another phone number for these people--ACLS as they call themselves--347-637-6444.  They left me a message but when I called back they could not tell me why they were calling and I refused to give them my phone number --how sophisticated can they be if they do not even have callerID????

I represent consumers in the bankruptcy court in Louisiana. I have come across this issue a couple of times in the last year. You should read the other posts. Most have good advice. I am not your attorney. However, if you resided in Louisiana and came to see me for a consultation with these facts, I would likely tell you to close your current bank accounts, reopen new ones, request a fraud alert be placed with each of the credit reporting agencies, and hang up on anyone calling to collect on this so called account.

Hello I went through the same thing for several months I kept getting phone calls from different numbers leaving messages that I couldn't really understand when I finally called them they had said I took out a loan of $300 when I asked when they said back in aug 2010 when I also asked them to what bank they said us bank which was not possible b/c I opened my account till nov 2010. When I asked from what pay day loan compamy did I take out the loan from he wouldn't give me a name what so ever. Also when I asked for them to send me proof or any kind of evidence of the matter they said they couldn't finally when I agreed on paying just to see what they will send me they ended up faxing me this two forms that to be honest you must only have to be a complete idiot to believe it. So I told them it was [***] and that I am not payin for something I didn't get they got mad and said to prepare for a attorney b/c I will be goin to court. Then several months passed by and today they decided to call and I caused them out b/c they tried to say that they had deposit it in dec 2010 dumb pricks. I called the cops they came to my house and called them from the number they called and just put them on hold for a while they called again and never answered so I am sure they are not going to ever call again. They say they are the federal goverment of crime department they go by ACLS and they use names that wouldn't pertain to them common now they sound like they are from afghanistan or pakistan lmao anyways so if you ever get phone calls from something like this using the names nick flemming david johnson DON'T BELIEVE THEM!!!!
