So by now most folks know that payday loans are never worth the time it takes to get one.  Once you get them, you practically cannot get out of them.  Zip19 issues payday loans without any sort of "pay-down" schedule.  Instead, they will remove the entire loan amount plus the service fees in two equal amounts (basically they take the total, cut it in half and then remove them both at the same time).

The reason for this?  The only answer is so that if the funds are not availabe in your account, then they can charge you TWO NSF fees instead of one.  On my first time using this company, I experienced this because their website incorrectly displayed the dates on the calendar, thus making me choose an incorrect day for payback of the loan.  Ultimately, they waived the fees, so I continued to use them.  But my story actually gets better.

On the 17th of June at approximately 11am, I submitted a request to zip19 for a payday loan.  I have been using this company for close to 9 months now and they have gotten a substantial amount of money from me.  Per their own contract, if you cancel within 24 hours, they are supposed to cancel the contract and that should be that.

On the 18th of June, at 9:36am I submitted a request for cancellation.  The date and time stamp on the fax confirms this.  Even on their own website, they verified that the date and time stamp exist on the form.  However their supervisor stated to me that they did not receive it until after 5pm that night.  She stated that even though the fax "may" have come through at 9:30am, that they have to use the date and time that "THEY" (meaning the supervisors) got it.  So it was posted to their website at 5:06pm.

Thier customer service is horrible.  When waiting for a "supervisor" you are placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time.  And even then, once you've spoken to them you are given no recourse of a higher entity.

Basically your only recourse with these companies, once they bare their teeth and show their true colors is to close your bank account and hope for a day in court.  Otherwise you're stuck paying for something you didn't need.

I suspect that you applied on a third party site. Zip19 is one of the biggest names in payday lending, and lots of scammers steal the HTML code from Zip19's site, put it on their own site, and modify it so that they receive a copy of your info. There are news reports about this. Be more careful with your information, and don't post statements that are borderline defamation because of your own irresponsibility. By the way, if you go to zip19.com, customers log in using their SSN and their phone number. It's how they identify their customers. If you call in, they'll ask you for your account # or SSN to identify you.

I hope you realize the company has been in operation for almost a decade. If they were robbing people, as you are insinuating, they would have been shut down.

    smarter then you!
Americans are so stupid... all you have to do before agreeing to anything is to READ the contract when you sign up for SH*%T. After you have read it carefully and you still decide to get a payday loan then follow it. Its that simple people!!! If you decide to borrow money from someone the right thing to do is pay them back, especially if its in the contract!!! It's not the companies fault that your having issues, it's your dumb*&#% that doesn't know how to READ a contract. You act suprise and get mad when they charge you, well if you would have read it then... you'd know why!!! The reason that your getting sent to collections is because you decided that you didnt want to pay them back! Thats why your ass is in collections, and if you want all those collectors to stop calling you then PAY them back!!! See how simple it is!!! Geeez!!!

You are full of BS.  Zip19 is certainly making loans in Maryland without a license and is way over the legal usury rate for MD.  If AT ALL POSSIBLE YOU SHOULD NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do business with any payday lender.  And why do you think they are home based in Malta of all places!

I think its funny that I took out a payday loan with zip19 evrything went through fine except for tha fact that they tried to withdraw tha monies a week earlier than they were supposed to which I thought wus rather strange being that we had emailed aggreements on tha day tha loan wus supposed to be repayed. They did not inform me of the 2 different charges to my account and the email stated that all monies need to b n the account at tha same time. Wen they tried to retrieve the money they said that it wus an invalid acct which after reading all these statement i Guess wus in my favor. After I  explained to them wut tha ramifications of the deal were they waived all excess fees and all I had to repay wus the amount put into my account. Needless to say I won't b getn another paydayloan period.

    I know who you are
Designed the collections department?  As the other person said, you were let go for incompetance.  I can think of far better advice you could offer people in a bind.  Not paying back, it not the answer, having Teletrack  marked against you is not a good idea.

You're honestly claiming they put the money into your account without your permission? For starters, there is no way the company could obtain your bank account and routing numbers unless you signed their contract and willfully submitted your information. Second of all, no company on the face of the Earth would make a business practice of giving hundreds of dollars to random people without their knowledge, and then try to get it back. There is no financial benefit of doing that! My guess is that you are completely broke, and tried applying for 30+ payday loans, and forgot the names of the companies. Then Zip19 issued the loan to you AS PER THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED, and then you spent the money on your bills and didn't want to pay it back.

I actually laughed out loud at the following statement you made in your comment:

"I think there should be a law against thais procedure.   If you put money in my account without permission the company should be held responsibe for repaying their self back".

Do you even know what you're saying? Why would the company pay themselves back? They just wouldn't issue the loan to you in the first place, UNLESS YOU REQUESTED IT, WHICH YOU OBVIOUSLY DID!

People like you are making Americans look stupid. I'd appreciate it if you start taking accountability for your own actions, and use your common sense. If you're going to bad-mouth a company, at least make reasonable insinuations about them.

I work in a industry that helps people resolving these types of debts and illegal behavior and fraud run rampant with these online payday lenders.  I don't think there is one law they don't break.  Loan in states they are not allowed, share you personal information including banking information to lenders you may or may not have borrowed money from.  Went you find yourself unable to pay they again break every law as it relates to the fair debt collections practice.  The lies and threats I have heard would amaze you.  This industry of online loans has also made it possible for conartists to get some action at the consumers expense.  Crooks by lists from payday lenders and call and pose as those lenders and scare people into giving them your banking or credit card numbers only to have money fraudulantly withdrawn from their accounts and never to be seen or heard from again.  If you are unsure who you owe ask for a copy of your loan contract, it will show you borrowed the money.  Any LEGITIMATE lender won't have a problem with this.  If they refuse you should never give them access to your banking.  Make sure your original bank account is CLOSED!  Holds and such never work for the long term for a variety of reasons.  If you open up a new bank account be sure it is at a completely different bank or they will link the old and new bank account.  Once you establish who you owe only ever pay them via western union or a prepaid card that you only ever use for your payday lending repayments.  NEVER take a loan from one of there companies again.  If you don't have the money now your not going to have it two weeks.

I've gotta say im surprised to read all of these comments of people having bad experiences with zip. I've loaned from them more times than i can count over the past couple years. i'd say i take a loan once every few months for unexpected expenses like car repair, insurance deductible etc etc...

first of all, you've gotta go directly to zip19.com. there was a news articles that if you're applying thru a generic site, you might have your info stolen.

and also, it's a payday lender people. it's not supposed to provide you long-term relief from your debt. if you're looking for free money, look elsewhere. it's just a two week loan, they don't do rollovers or extension. i konw this because i asked. i ended up in collections once because half my loan didn't lcear on time. i paid the remaining balance of like 200 bucks on my next payday, and all was well

DURING MY BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH ZIP19, THEY HAVE ALWAYS FOLLOWED THEIR CONTRACT. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS. YES, THE COMPANY DOES DEBIT U TWICE, BUT IF U HAVE THE FULL PAYMENT AVAILABLE, IT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. MY ONLY ADVICE IS TO NOT TAKE A PAYDAY LOAN UNLESS YOU'RE 200% SURE U CAN PAY IT BACK.

um, are you sure you're talking about zip19? my account was in collections, but i paid it off today. they never once mentioned anyhting about suing me. if they're mentioning fraud, did u loan while you're not employed? or did u put false information on your application? that's the only reason i could think that they'd mention fraud for... the reason im asking if you're speaking with another company is because zip19 already has your banking information because u put it on the application.. therefore, they wouldn't ask you for it....

by the way, i paid my bill thru MoneyGram (which is a wire transfer service). hope this helps

    I'm American
it's a two week loan, man. don't complain about them not giving you a chance to pay it off. you realize payday loans are considered high-risk, right?

Oh, and learn how to speak English properly. Then you might be able to read your contracts and know what you're agreeing to.

They don't give you a chance? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Also, you said "When signing the loan documents online, nothing is said and when it is due they leave rude messages and harrass their customers because they want their money right then and there".

You should realize that when signing the loan documents online, EVERYTHING is said. They outline when the loan is due back, all broker and interest fees that will be included at the time of the dbit, and they tell you that if your loan is returned insufficient funds you will be charged fees for that.

Maybe you should learn how to read.

It's good to hear this. I have had no problems with them, either.

It seems most of the people on this site are idiots who can't maintain control over their finances.

You're giving Americans a bad name, people!!

Same here, I've had no problems whatsoever. But then again, I read my contract unlike half of the people who post here. I knew exactly how much I was being charged, and when my account was going to be debited.

Why? because they're "Scammers" and "fraudsters"? haha, give me a break. i've used this company before, and same with a couple of my friends. i have no problem recommending them. if u read your contract, u know what the fees are, and when the the loan is due.

ive never had to be in collections because i've not a moron. i always ensure that i'll have the funds available on payday. if you don't you're a loser and you get collection calls. pretty simple in my opinion.

well, you can never use them again, but i'll definitely use them again. i've never had a problem because i'm not an idiot. i always have my money there on payday so they can take it.

if you're getting calls, that means you're in collections. and that means you're a deadbeat who is running from your obligations. grow up!!
