So by now most folks know that payday loans are never worth the time it takes to get one. Once you get them, you practically cannot get out of them. Zip19 issues payday loans without any sort of "pay-down" schedule. Instead, they will remove the entire loan amount plus the service fees in two equal amounts (basically they take the total, cut it in half and then remove them both at the same time).
The reason for this? The only answer is so that if the funds are not availabe in your account, then they can charge you TWO NSF fees instead of one. On my first time using this company, I experienced this because their website incorrectly displayed the dates on the calendar, thus making me choose an incorrect day for payback of the loan. Ultimately, they waived the fees, so I continued to use them. But my story actually gets better.
On the 17th of June at approximately 11am, I submitted a request to zip19 for a payday loan. I have been using this company for close to 9 months now and they have gotten a substantial amount of money from me. Per their own contract, if you cancel within 24 hours, they are supposed to cancel the contract and that should be that.
On the 18th of June, at 9:36am I submitted a request for cancellation. The date and time stamp on the fax confirms this. Even on their own website, they verified that the date and time stamp exist on the form. However their supervisor stated to me that they did not receive it until after 5pm that night. She stated that even though the fax "may" have come through at 9:30am, that they have to use the date and time that "THEY" (meaning the supervisors) got it. So it was posted to their website at 5:06pm.
Thier customer service is horrible. When waiting for a "supervisor" you are placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time. And even then, once you've spoken to them you are given no recourse of a higher entity.
Basically your only recourse with these companies, once they bare their teeth and show their true colors is to close your bank account and hope for a day in court. Otherwise you're stuck paying for something you didn't need.

I submitted an application - I do not remember the name of the company - and I was absolutely deluged with offers. I do not have any documentation that represents any agreement with Zip19, but feel my information I submitted on the one application was then "broadcast" to these types of lenders and was obviously used without my consent.
There was a deposit of $300 to my account on 5/18/09. I questioned this and asked my bank for documentation, but they were only able to advise this was a loan from Zip19.
Again - note this was on 5/18/09.
On 5/21/09 - THREE DAYS LATER - there were two debits to my account from Zip19 in the amounts of $179.97 each - a total of $359.94.
In reading the above comments, I note where this splitting of repayments is common for them - if the funds are not there, they can hit you for 2 NSF charges.
Of course this leaves me in a worse situation than where I started. It's just so sad that there are companies like this and we have no power to stop them?.... other than being smart enough to NEVER use them again & screaming as loudly as we all can to NEVER use Zip19.
It's quite a scam they have going. And they are probably already operating under many other names already since Zip19 HOPEFULLY has a big red flag going for it.
I'm not taking this lying down. I'm sure I will never recover the money, but I'll take every opportunity available to me to stop these kinds of scams.
I've already survived a lot. I've been a widow for almost 5 years, so it's just me to keep a roof over my head & my 2 lil four-legged roommates. My only child is serving in the US Air Force, and he is currently deployed. I've had 4 back surgeries, have been told I'm at MMI or Maximum Medical Improvement and that I cannot be "fixed". It's a sacroiliac joint problem, so it's a long road ahead full of pain and pain pills.
BUT - I won't let these b*stards beat me! They may have gotten to me for the $59.94, but I promise they will be getting more than $59.94 worth of a pain in the azz from me.
BOOMER SOONER!!!
I took out a loan on the 6th of this month, repay day would be the 20th. Well now I got my 500 bucks on the 7th into my bank account. Much to my surprise they doubled the deposit to 1000 bucks. WOW what a mistake. I was sure they would reverse the extra 2 electronic deposits and sure enough they did on the 8th. No problem so far. It did not cost me anything in debit charges and such. So the 20th rolled around and sure enough they zapped my account for the loan and did not over charge. NOW my account is in some sort of "hold" condition and will not let me reloan any money. I have called and was told about 300 clients was affected as I was.
Also told it was an error in the IT department and are working hard to fix the problem and I could reloan in 3 business days. This is about a week ago and countless emails and phone calls can NOT tell me when this will be corrected.
