So by now most folks know that payday loans are never worth the time it takes to get one.  Once you get them, you practically cannot get out of them.  Zip19 issues payday loans without any sort of "pay-down" schedule.  Instead, they will remove the entire loan amount plus the service fees in two equal amounts (basically they take the total, cut it in half and then remove them both at the same time).

The reason for this?  The only answer is so that if the funds are not availabe in your account, then they can charge you TWO NSF fees instead of one.  On my first time using this company, I experienced this because their website incorrectly displayed the dates on the calendar, thus making me choose an incorrect day for payback of the loan.  Ultimately, they waived the fees, so I continued to use them.  But my story actually gets better.

On the 17th of June at approximately 11am, I submitted a request to zip19 for a payday loan.  I have been using this company for close to 9 months now and they have gotten a substantial amount of money from me.  Per their own contract, if you cancel within 24 hours, they are supposed to cancel the contract and that should be that.

On the 18th of June, at 9:36am I submitted a request for cancellation.  The date and time stamp on the fax confirms this.  Even on their own website, they verified that the date and time stamp exist on the form.  However their supervisor stated to me that they did not receive it until after 5pm that night.  She stated that even though the fax "may" have come through at 9:30am, that they have to use the date and time that "THEY" (meaning the supervisors) got it.  So it was posted to their website at 5:06pm.

Thier customer service is horrible.  When waiting for a "supervisor" you are placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time.  And even then, once you've spoken to them you are given no recourse of a higher entity.

Basically your only recourse with these companies, once they bare their teeth and show their true colors is to close your bank account and hope for a day in court.  Otherwise you're stuck paying for something you didn't need.

i would like to say zip19 is very rude and call all the time and they dont give their customer a chance to come up the money to pay them back at all. im trying to pay them back they arent giving me chance to do that. i dont recommend them to anybody. dont ever get a loan from them again they will rip u off and stuff.  When signing the loan documents online, nothing is said and when it is due they leave rude messages and harrass their customers because they want their money right then and there.  I would not recommend them to anyone.

TOTALLY DISAGREE*** as per note above, "they dont give their customer a chance to come up w/ the money to pay them back", hello?? its a payday loan, you sign a loan agreement, & the payment comes out on your "PAYDAY", if you are employed & receive direct deposit (which are both required) why would the funds not be there? The co. automatically debits the account that they deposit the funds into on they repayment date.. Read the loan terms & conditions.. They do have very low rates compared to other online companies, they debit your account in 2 payments (full amt. due divided by 2), that way if you dont have enough atleast the company will retrieve 1/2 their funds, not because they want you to have 2 NSF charges, & if you do end up with 2 NSF charges it would be your own fault as you are responsible for selecting the repayment date & it is your responsibility to ensure that the funds are in your account.. I have had a cpl. loans out w/ them, never found anything wrong with their customer service, then again i have never had to be transferred to their supervisors or payment services, as i am responsible w/ my finances, sure we all fall short at times & may be need additional funds but why take out more than what you can afford then [***] about it later & call the company down?? As for the wage assignment, their is that signature that you sign stating if you were to default on a loan, and cannot be reached (avoiding), co. does have the right to garnish your wages.. Always read what you are signing, and your signature is required before any funds can be released to your account..

I got a payday loan from zip19. I had every intention to pay it back but then I got laid off. I have 3 kids and rent to pay. I tried to make arrangements with them but they only wanted the whole amount. They are very rude with no customer service skills. After only 3 days past my due date they were already contacting my employer. Don't use zip19 for a payday loan. You will regret you ever did.

If Zip19 contact your employer, you should immediately file a complaint with the federal and state government because US Department of Commerce who regulates financial institutions forbid this type of collection practices with the specific intent to cause trouble with your employer.

Your employer has no authority or obligation to make you pay a debt.

i have used Zip19.com many times and am satisfied with their service. Before accepting the loan they tell you that you will pay the loan back on your next payday at 19.00 per 100.00 borrowed so if you will not have sufficient funds on your next payday to repay the loan then DO NOT ACCEPT THE LOAN! It is really not that hard to understand!

to HOLLY I bet you borrowed 200.00 which would have made your repayment 238.00 which Zip19.com took out of your bank account which you did not have.READ YOUR CONTRACT STATEMENT! IF YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE FUNDS IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT BY YOUR NEXT PAYDAY THEN DO NOT ACCEPT THE LOAN IN THE FIRST PLACE! WHY IS THIS A FRAUD WHEN YOU ACCEPTED THE LOAN AGREEMENT?

I so totally agree with you! Thank you for saying this. I also used Zip19 with no problem....I kept my amounts low (under 500.00) and only because I
    a) Really needed it

    b) Didn't have it at the time

    c) I knew I'd have enough to cover it when the withdrawal date came.

I never borrow what I cannot pay back. Simple math. If I'm using Zip19 its because time is not on my side...but the money always is.

That's the thing about payday loans....there is no negotiation. It's risky in that if you take out a loan, you better be sure you can pay it back because if you can't, it gets nasty....That's why I keep my amounts very low if I need them at all....

YOU MUST BE A LOAN BROKER TO HAVE THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOTHING BUT GANGSTER LOAN SHARKS,IN MY STATE YOU CAN ONLY BE GARNISHED ONE CO AT A TIME, BUT TRY NOT TO LET IT GET TO THAT POINT, IF YOU CAN ENTER A REPAYMENT PLAN.

Yes, I agree, if you can't afford to pay it back, then don't borrow it. I have done it twice and both times, I made sure i had the money there to cover what I borrowed and it got me out of bind and the interest is not bad considering its meant to be a temporary thing and not something you do all the time.  So don't blame the company for trying to make a profit and a living, they are lending you money and you are responsible for paying it back when you promised to do that.

Well, you are taking a chance by borrowing money, if you get laid off or fired, you are still responsible to pay it back, how would you feel if someone borrowed $500 from you and told you that they would pay you back in 2 weeks and you give them the money but you need it to pay your bills in 2 weeks and they tell you, sorry "can't pay you back because I was fired, wouldn't you be upset because you needed that money back to pay your bills. Wouldn't you be upset that this person will not pay you back your money and now you are stuck. Think of that way, lets be responsible for what we do.

I just wanted to say that i understand where some of you are coming from and im glad you didnt have any problems with zip19. I recently got a call from them caused i missed my payment. I was told that they needed sometype of payment arangement so they wouldnt take further action ie wage assignment. I am gonna pay them off in full asap. but in regards to them garnishing my wages it aint gonna effin happen. They have no legal standing to garnish my wages and if they try i will go to court with them. I contacted the FTC and they said that they have to abide by the law of the state YOU reside in. Check your state laws regarding payday loans. Also I am not sayng that its ok to borrow money without paying it back like youu assume people on this site are saying. I am dissatisfied with the service provided to me and it is my right as with everyone to let them know how you feel about them. they should handele their customers with curtosy and respect. I have been in customer service for 10 yrs and i always treat my customers with the utmost respect because that is how i would like to be treated. Bottom line dont assume you know anything about someone just because what you read on here. walk a mile in thier shoes and then see if you feel the same way. Ofcourse you have nothing to fear when you are anonomous.
