Edward Singleton / Mobile Business Solutions / Carnivals Eatery out of Jasper, Georgia is a lying, scamming, thieving, con artist!! He has stolen and conned out of me and my family $3084.50!!! Do NOT do business with this low life of a thief!! He will steal your money!! He is a fast smooth talker! He will tell you everything he thinks "you" want to hear! He lies so much he doesn't even know where one lie ends and another lie begins! I wired $3,084.50 to him in January 2010, for him to build me a hot dog cart. For over four months I have waited for him to give me the schematics to submit to the health department for approval. In those four months I have received 27 emails from him that say the schematics are finished and that he will fax and mail them to me tomorrow!Unfortunately, tomorrow never comes and it never did.
I have already demanded that he return my money back to me but he refuses to. But I am not one to let things go. I have already filed claims and complaints against him with numerous authorities and agencies asking for an investigation of his illegal activities involving "Internet Fraud and non-delivery of goods." I have also filed a criminal complaint against him with my local sheriff's department for "Fraud by False Pretenses". I don't know all of the legal procedures except that the detective told me they will be contacting and working with the Jasper police department to get an investigation started on Edward "Rip Off" Singleton! Hopefully then he will be charged and put away for good!
Also, on April 22nd, I decided to call the Jasper City Hall to verify that he has a valid business license and he does not. It expired December 31, 2009. So that tells me he must be having some serious financial troubles if he cannot even afford a cheap business license. But I guess as long as he is able to find unsuspecting people to con and steal money from he is not worried about a business license! He has no intentions of operating a business! Just stealing money from hard working people who have a desire to start a hot dog vending business! You will "Reap what YOU Sow, Edward "Rip Off" Singleton"!!!!!
I have also discovered that the Better Business Bureau has issued Edward "Rip Off" Singleton and his phony business an "F" RATING!!!
If he returns my money back to me, I will happily come back and report that Edward has done the right thing by returning my money back to me. Until then, I will not stop and I will not cancel any open claims or complaints that I have filed against him. He needs to be stopped and put away so he cannot con anyone else again! Lying con artist like Edward "Rip Off" Singleton does not deserve to be a part of our society!!

11/23/2012 I drove from SC to GA and that morning I called from the hotel and stated I would be there at noon to pick it up. I arrived and it was not ready. The propane holder was not installed. The steps weren't even built. I was told the wrong size ball to bring. The hanging chains from the trailer to my blazer were too long so I shot sparks for 6 hours in the dark across states line. I had inquired prior to coming about the SC transit tag law and was told I would be provided with one, which I wasn't. The sway bar and stabilizer kit that I paid an extra $760 and waited weeks for was not installed. In fact they didn't even have it. Prior to purchasing this cart I asked if my vehicle could pull the trailer and gave them the make and model and was assured there would be no problem. Wrong. I was unable to get over 50 mph and it was smelling of oil and apparently did damage to the motor of my blazer. I had to get rid of it and go buy a truck. I was giving no manuals for the fryer or char broiler or any equipment. I spoke with web restaurant about their tag on the front of the char broiler and even sent a picture. They stated it was a fraudulent tag and did not match their model numbers. Also the overhead range does not work. I spoke with their mechanic on the phone and it appears they didn't bother putting wire nuts on, they just electrical taped it together. So I am going to have to hire an electrician to fix the problem. I was also told at the time of purchase that when I picked up my trailer there would be a training session on running the equipment and getting into the business of concession. I received nothing but ending up leaving in the dark having never pulled anything behind me, threw the twisty mountains. I am still not able to start work and lost my opportunity to vend at our Farmers Market because of the hood.
I have phone call records and e-mails and still they have not refunded my money, they have not provided me with support like promised and I have a bad product that is not running yet. I am very dissatisfied with this company and will not recommend them to anyone.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds incredibly close to mine, and of several others who have contacted me in the recent past. Efforts to make any negative reviews look "staged" by CFB are in my opinion, just another example of shady business practice. Everything you write sounds includes so many frustrations of mine too. Being intimidated by Zack (gorilla lawyer) to stay silent, and accusation of "Internet stalking" only add fuel to the fire. Nothing is more frustrating, then when you have just paid for something (like a fancy expensive dinner, on a special occasion) and not only completely unsatisfied (steak overlooked, sides different than ordered, food cold, forgot to deliver dessert, etc) but when mentioned to management- NO ONE CARES. That's the feeling you get anyway, when only an argument ensues ("chef said it was cooked medium", "you didn't order spinach" etc. you can't sue a restaurant for not delivering the product they advertise properly, or to your satisfaction- but you can sure make a stink, share your review online, tell everybody you know (you tell 100 people about a bad dinner, and only a few about the great ones), and NEVER GO BACK! Funny things about reviews- usually the places with good ones measure up and provide a consistent positive experience. Business with bad ones- consistent poor experiences. Can a high rated restaurant provide poor occasionally? Sure. Bad restaurant with a good one occasionally, sure. But the reviews don't lie!! And the are VERY IMPORTANT. I believe in both good and bad reviews. Always will, and will always participate in our right to write them:
I too, had equipment arrive in poor working condition, including:
Walkin cooler arrived used, poorly modified from 3 phase to 1- when inspected and serviced by electricians here on island: all agreed that until was used, poorly modified and lacked proper switches. It cost me over $900 just to get unit working (due to poor CFB workmanship). I would have assumed a new unit considering the $45k I paid for my trailer (no cooking equipment in my trailer by the way)
Ice machine was delivered used (easily diagnosed by months of grime on filter). Again, I would have assumed ice machine to be new, on a $45k project. Ice machine badly leaks at plumbing connections, as do the connections at water heater and main drain. CFB completely forgot to instal the hose feature I paid for, speaking of plumbing.
ALSO NEVER COMPLETED/DELIVERED (paid in full back in first week of October):
Trailer missing $6,000 generator completely. Space where generator was designed, came instead with the Jerry rigged non functioning walk in compressor unit. STILL NO GENERATOR OR REFUND
Missing 3 of the 5 bakers racks paid for.
Cryovac machine was NOT unit discussed.
Gas shocks missing from rear awning.
Some incredibly hard to believe areas of my concern:
Office door hung inside out (cannot lock from inside)
Closet space void of shelve or hanger bar
Roof leaks in 2 of the 3 roof vents (roof of trailer very uneven. Seams sealed poorly)
Rain gutters, designed to collect water- wouldn't collect water in a torrential downpour (enough to give a dam, due to one inch depth.)
Metro shelving installed in a way making them virtually useless (much too close together, making the narrowest sides of the shelves the wides access
Talked about, but did not happen- (get EVRYTHING IN WRITING! They will shortcut wherever possible!):
WWII officers desk discribed by Zack turned into a [***] green poorly hand made made spray painted cheap plywood office desk... Without even a chair :)
Roof mounted hoist never happened
SHIPPING WAS A NIGHTMARE!!! After the project dragged past expectations- once finally "complete"- CFB was unable to manage the shipping responsibility they signed up for. I was forced to hire my own shipper, who went to the "factory" to make pick up. It cost me $2,500, something that CFB was responsible for. I made the decision to get it (and will eat the cost, amongst so many other things) due to my total frustration of so many setbacks, and inability to get business going under the management of Zack and Larry. I just wanted the nightmare to end!!
Zack used "we are concerned about your happiness" so many times with me, it was like a standard recording!!! I got so burned out speaking with him, and always getting the same slippery responses to my constant concerns- I had to write a formal letter(to Larry Lowman) insisting my business be finished ASAP without ever hearing from Zack again. Who responded to my request? ZACK!!!!! He informed me that the owner Larry, was too unfamiliar with the business (and my project, now in his shop for 5 months) to deal with it, and that only he could bring my project to completion- "without even more delays". WHAT!!!! Zach and Larry, throughout my ordeal, continued to assure me they where interested in my well being, sorry for the troubles, and wanted nothing more than to get me the product
and get me into business...
AND YET, still to this day, they have been unable to finish the job!!! A Japanese mini truck I paid in full back in August never got completed, and at this point, after MONTHs of fighting about it- I finally have up and settled for a refund. NO REFUND HAS BEEN GIVEN FOR THE:
$6500 mini truck
$6000 generator
$900 service bill to get my walk in functionable (to get my business, badly inturupted) up and running
CFB has decided to put "gorilla lawyer" on me, so I don't share my experience with the public. At the moment, I had been out of business since October- and will gladly use my time to
a) share my review as do most Americans (good and bad ones) when they pay for a product, and care to share on today's hundreds of online forums. I have been a professional chef, for some of the worlds most respected chefs and corporations. Reviews are par for the course, and a constructive tool for the consumer AND the owner (or chef, dentist, carpenter, food truck builder, etc). A 100% accurate review is LEGAL, fair, and well deserved. It's what keeps business motivated, honest, and aware. In today's world- everybody "googles first". Businesses should strive to have positive consumer reviews. No business is outside th law when it comes to HONEST PUBLIC REVIEW. This IS NOT INTERNET STALKING, as Zack claims. It's an honey review of their prouct, by a customer who speant over $150k, and TOTALY UNSATISFIED all the way around. I will review until satisfied. It is intended as a positive custructive feedback tool, soley expressing my opinion (100% accurate)- and of my own experience, no one else's, or any other claims made about CFB or the owners Zack Edward Singleton and/or Larry Lowman.
Needless to say, I give CFB Manufacturing the very lowest rating in:
Quality of workmanship
Customer service
Ability to complete job as contracted
Ability to complete job as discussed
CFB, after months of my persistence, and finally giving an altimatum, only afte the amount of time we expressed writing (for a call to action, regarding the shipping of missing equipment, refunds, and warranty follow up) did they offer "a technition to come down and deal with issues". Would I REALLY trust a technition to get on a plane, fly down to st thomas USVI and fix my issues, when they couldn't:
Deliver the trailer to port as promised
Fix and ship my mini truck as promised
Build in my generator as promised
Send generator after the fact
Sneak in a used compressor and ice machine
Fail to use GFI outlets above my sinks
Forget so many contracted and/or discussed items
Etc, etc, etc
NO. Sorry. At some point, the company looses its credibility. I cannot deal with CFB any longer, due to my personal mental and physical anguish. I have lost sleep and business since October- and burned out. If I never see a dime from them, I will carry on and keep in cookin. It's what I do. BUT- my review will stay updated, staying current to the public because I believe it's a positive consumer tool, and positive constructive criticism/reienforcement for business owners, whom provide product and experience to consumers.

Ps- some side notes. This is just one review of my TRAILER experience. I contracted CFB to build/modify 4 separate vehicles/trailer. I unsatisfied with the outcome of all 4. I will review each one separate, and with their individual details. Trailer experience is unfortunately not my worst: our $92k food truck experiwnce has been even more traumatic to me and my entire family. It will be shared too.
Don't ask for pictures of your project. CFB produced for me under 7 total pictures to satisfy my over 30 requests throughout my ordeal
Be careful when "inspection time" is announced. My parents flew from California, and wife and I from US Virgin Islands on CFB's expressed confirmation project was ready to be "inspected", and thus remainder of payment to be made (or delays would occur). The 4 of us arrived to the shop expecting to view the equipment that was to be installed. CFB claims that at this point in the process, the equipment has been purchased (with your $50% deposit) and is "ready for instal". We arrived and where unable to see even ONE PIECE of equipment we where to receive when job would one day be completed. No:
Generators
dishwasher
Ice machine
Compressor unit for walkin
Cooking equipment
M35a military truck (paid for a month earlier)
Mini truck was: banged up, broken windshield, would not start, etc. (Zach was excited to share with me how fun it was to drive, how fun it was to do doughnuts out back, and how he couldn't even flip it over. Looked like to me he had). See my "mini truck review" later...
Not one piece of equipment we contracted and paid for was available to see. They did however, shortly after, demand payment in full to continue our project. MASSIVE DELAYS OCCURED (from 6-8 weeks quoted project time) to now over 5 months and still not complete. We where unable to complete payment, and unable to inspect project properly. I wish I would have seen more if the project. Maybe some of this could have been avoided! After all, that IS what an inspection is for. FYI- inspection trip cost our family over $3500. HUGE WASTE OF TIME and money.
As stated before, I encourage customers both satisfied and unsatisfied to share your review here. This has turned into a positive constructive forum. It's clear there is no "stalking" here, only consumer reviews like so many thousands of sites host.
I request that reviewers are transparent with their names, product, and other details to legitimize their reviews. If you are satisfied, in business, and support CFB- there should be no reason why not to post your company name/website etc. without it- I think it's fairly obvious there is an identity issue.
For those who are set back by issues, and/or currently in arbitration- I can see why a bit of privacy is required. Stick to 100% accurate accounts of your experience, an this will continue to be a positive and constructive learning tool, for CFB- and all business doing right and wrong out there.

Lets do it right here in front of America. This company is 100% professional and no one scammed you or otherwise. In fact anyone who wants to see it I will send the the weekly emails asking you to call us so this company could have a chance to fix it. Mistakes can be made and corrected. However some people either make up the mistakes trying to get cash some attention. America I don't know about you but if things were not right and the company was offering to address them. Why would you not? Greg's whole attention is based on hurting the company. Greg also asked for 13-19k cash or he would post???? America listen I have a blog. Google Zach Singleton Blog and you will find it. You will also find my attorney, legal docs that have been served one of which is a cyber stalking case. Google cyber stalking Greg. When you repeat the same harassment using the internet in order to cause someone stress or otherwise you quickly fall into that. I am a straight up guy and you know it.
Ask the Lady from SC, she is one example I use on my blog. People read this bull and jump into it without thinking. We took care of her. She ordered a sway bar system for $760.00 and it was on back ordered. We sent her out VIA UPS a refund for 760.00. She jumped the gun posting thinking the worst. We also are working to get a tech to fix her fan. Again mistakes happen. This company builds 10 units per week which is allot more than most. 100% we are here for our customers.
Lets use this site right now to work out your issues Greg? Me and you no body else chime in. Then allow America using full names and contact info as the jury to how this is going. Be fair America. What's right and whats wrong.

Facts only no bull. You are entitled to your opinion but not to your own facts.
Lets examine the entire deal, all your delays, change orders, etc. Also lets dive into any mistakes and our warranty, then lets dive into your agreement and contract. I will post the docs on my blog since you cannot upload pics or docs on this site.
I want to be helpful to you Greg always have wanted that. In no way does CFB, Larry, or me Zach screw people. Between Larry and I we own 6 businesses. None of them have issues until people read they should. That's the whole point. If you had not read I was a scum bag you would very likely handle this entire deal differently.
Lets start by getting out the delays. I want to peel one layer off this onion at a time. Some parts Greg I know you will be proven wrong whether you are man enough to admit it is up to you. Other Parts CFB will be at fault. But we are more than willing to admit there could be some issues and we are more than willing to address them in front of America.
We are not perfect, but we build a fine truck and trailer. Last year we built over 356 trailers and over 63 trucks. I'd say the 1-3 issues are a small number. But we are not above mistakes OK. Admitted things go wrong. But when the company emails you for 3 weeks begging you to call so we have a chance to work it out and you ignore it. That's not fair.
You have stated the following best I can tell.
1. CFB caused you massive delays? Are you going to own that or not? If not lets up load all the emails, change orders, money delays on your part, contract payment delays, your emails thanking us and at the time taking responsibility etc. The let America Vote who right who wrong. But only mark voters willing to state there names and phone numbers that's fair.
2. Missing equipment etc. You have stated many things about this and frankly we are confused on some and we have the answers to the others.
3. Missing Mini truck- Its not missing it is sitting here. Per your contract we agreed to pay to transport 2 items. We have paid for 1 food truck and one Duce military truck I can up load the doc fees and shipping records. You paid for your fish fab trailer and????? You need to pay for the mini truck shipping. But we could likely work that out.
4. Warranty and Damage? Your fish fab trailer left here unharmed we have the photos I can up load them if needed. Warranty- We have a warranty and it expresses you must work with us follow it and we will pay for repair. Is it fair the company had no idea of something and you hire who knows who to fix it, for who knows what price??? NO its not fair. Per your warranty it voids it.
Let resolve this Greg. You claim CFB will not help you.

If you want things fixed or need help lets dive into it right now in front of America. I felt like you just wanted cash since you clearly refused to go over the issues and make since of your demands.

Your so quick to relate to the nice lady in SC is strange. Since she picked up her phone and worked it out. Ask her? It took 5 mins. By Thursday she will be a happy lady!

When I read this 4 page site I only count 1-2 people actually stating a problem. I count pages of just stuff about zach or his house or whatever. I also count about 9 people saying its good. The bad comments are much longer and much for frequent but its the same people over and over.
Just do your homework and go see them and whoever else you want to.

I have tried tirelessly since October to resolve this professionaly and peacefully.

I bought a coat from REI one time. I did not like it and it fit oddly so I wrote #1 review letting people know the coat fit awkward. 3 sentences not six books. Your attentions are very clear and not one thing you have written is true.
Fact #1 Your job was delayed. But you post its all CFB fault. Not true-
Fact #1 is your job was delayed because you broke your contract. Your loan did not come through and you did not have the money to fund your project. CFB countless times requested you call us, handle the situation etc. Your response was you were going Budda Monk and going on vacation until your bank "Spreads there F-ing legs and gives birth to your money". I have the email and I will post it to my blog.
You also wrote CFB an email saying you were sorry for these delays and thanking us for waiving your interest fees. Which we did. If we were trying to hurt you we would have charged you all the late fees, we did not.
Also Greg ordered a new kitchen 2 months into the project. CFB had to rebuild this kitchen 3 times. We had a Oct 19 deadline. OK but Greg did not order his equipment until NOV? How did we delay you?
Once your money almost 3 months late arrived you acted like CFB should have your job done within 3 days. Sorry. Your Job was on Idle status per our contract. You had to wait. This was very clear in an email we sent you. In fact so clear you responded with a email which I will post saying " you understand and its not CFBs fault at all".
Fact #2 On your contract we billed you for a Food truck and a fish fab trailer. CFB agreed to transport those two units to Florida. We ended up having to pay insurance for you, doc fees, etc. OK but then you added 2 more items. 1 military duce truck and 1 Jap mini truck. All of a sudden you thought CFB should also pay for these to additional trucks to be transported. Not in our agreement Sorry.
Also part of this drama is the fact a few items did not arrive with your food truck or fish trailer? Why? We cannot ship those items loose in a truck it would slide around and damage the interior of your food truck or fish fab trailer. So we decided to put them in the back of your Duce. But what you are not telling America is this little fact.
Fact #3 Greg sent to our plant personal items to be shipped (trying to save money on shipping to his Island he sent all this stuff to us to deal with) I have the picture of his Duce loaded at our shop which I will upload to my blog). We had to use a fork lift to load his Duce truck. When we were done the entire bed was filled with Gregs personal effects. I also have the email which I will post where Greg begs us to ship his bedroom suit because "I'm sleeping on my floor". His Duce was filled with sheets, boxes, beds, etc filling a military troop transport truck to the brim.
Sorry Greg there was no room to stick your generator, fryer, etc. That was 100% self inflicted.
Fact #4 The Mini Truck has not arrived to you along with your generator and fryer etc. The bed of that truck holds your other items. Its not shipped because you did not pay for it.
Your Wife emailed us and stated you guys never new the truck had no title and you did not want it. I sent your wife the email back dated before we built it out and custom wrapped it. Telling you the truck had no title. Your response was " No big deal I want it and I will deal with it, PROCEED. So we did.
After that email your wife refused to comment.
Since all this CFB has emailed you every week dated emails requesting you please call our office in order to handle this.
Your only response was " A list of bull best I can tell and a demand for 15-19k cash. With no receipts, no valid reason. Your demand was also followed up with if you don't I will post things about your company. Since others have attacked me you feel like your in the clear. Your not.
CFB has requested our attorney handle this with a suit. Also launch an investigation for some other issues that have come up. I am not going to get into the legal stuff right now since its fairly serious legal matters.
You Broke your Contract, you Broke your warranty, and you have spread liable against a company.
Your facts are not facts at all they are opinions and they are long dragged out attacks.
Fact #5 Your trip down here with your parents was not what you expected????? You claim it was your final inspection????? Your final inspection at CFB means you have paid your bills and your project is completed. How did you think it was your final inspection when you had not paid your bills. In fact your loan had not even been approved at this time. Again I have the emails from you stating you were coming down with a check. You came down and you had no check, no loan, nothing. So for you to post this is grossly untrue and liable to our company.
Your trip was meant to try and get your projects on track, at this point you had not even confirmed your kitchen, in fact you changed it two more times after the trip. CFB was still working on your jobs with good faith you would pay your bills. In fact you did not even a month after your trip and CFB had no choice but to move your job out of production and in Idle per our contract.

You told CFB within 30 days of you did not have a check based on nothing you would take us to court. My response then was you do not have to wait thirty days. CFB retained our attorney within 48 hours of your threats and your postings.
CFB during this had to endure a Chef fit every week. Being cursed out on emails and via phone. We were being cursed out while Greg was delaying his projects.
You have posted on this site alone you are the best Chef in the world? You have been running kitchens for 20 years? So you were 7 years old with you got your first head chef position?

If you have been to CFB you understand right away what I'm talking about. One person does not make up a study group.
My trailer has 100% quality written all over it and everyone comments on how great it looks. So that's it! Great experience!

Look at Jan 18 posting and look at the Off the Grid Page. Its fairly clear who's telling the truth. I will begin up loading the facts as I have time. Including the email from Greg stating the delays and problems were his banks fault not ours and thanking CFB for being so professional. A far cry from what he post now.

All of your trailers were being built when I toured the facility, and all were spectacular, to say the least. To suggest that the work done was "high-schooler" quality is ignorant and blasphemous. It was detailed, functional, and downright impressive what Frank, Johnny, and the other fine mechanics at CFB did for Off The Grid. You should be ashamed of yourself, and your actions as a business owner.
