So after recieving a phone call from an 867 area code from jamacia and listening to this guy bable on about how I've won all this money and he need to deliver this package he tells me his name is david johnson. Well I'm not an idiot and asked him where he got my number from and how I won this money. He sounded really skeezy and didn't sound legit. I told him I woukd call him back so I can do sum research and this blog came up and I've read all your guys comments. So after that I called hom back and askedn uim for his name he says david green which is the name that has been used on  this blog that people have been getting calls from. So I told him he can't scam me and I was going to report him. As I'm typing this he is currently blowing up my phone. Thanks for the heads up n I'm glad I read thos blog.

Just received a call also from a "Tony Brown" (876)341-8464 showing from Kingston Jamaica  stating that he was with the mega million lottery sweepstakes.  He stated that I had won 2 Mercedes and 2.5 Million in cash.  The catch was he wanted me to go and get a card in the amount of $150.00.   He stated that once I got the card, he then wanted me to call him and the cars and money would be delivered to my home.  "PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM".  ALSO MAKE SURE TO CONACT THE POLICE WITH THE INFORMATION GIVEN THAT'S WHAT I DID.

Thanks everyone because I had a VM and decided to reverse search the number but looks like they have added a new person and a new name. Howard Foster   940 343 7765  Says it was from mega millions regarding a promotional drawing I entered but NOT cause I avoid those. I know what comes from such drawings...nothing but scams. Thanks again for the heads up.

My boyfriend just got a call from a david green, said his badge number was 005 and he was with the mega million dollar company Las Vegas 303 Carson st. He said he would get 2.5 million plus a Mercedes 2013. Even said it would be shipped by ups 00870/39. He said all he needed to do was pay the taxes on the car and that they would pay 99% of it and all they needed was 350 dollars. They said go to any walmart, walgreens or any shopping place and get a green dot scratch card. He eventually hung up due to our unwillingness.

The scammers just called my elderly mom saying she won 2.5 million dollars from the company of Mega Million Corp. I however got on the phone and did my little investigation. He called from 509 671 9444 by the name of James Jefferson from the state of "WASHINGTON, DC" ( i lived in Washington, dc and i know for a fact that is not an area code). He had a thick African accent, but it was muffled as if he walking outside or driving in a car. Very difficult to understand or truly hear what he was saying. He then proceeded to give me a Code: 1987 and said he would call me back in 5 mins, so make sure i pick up. He also said do not answer the phone with any area code of (876) 364 3417 (Jamaica) bc they were scammers and could possibly retrieve the winnings. He was given my address 3x and said he would arrive at my door to deliver the winnings etc and i had to go to cvs and get a money card for something. Had no clue what he was saying, bc by that time I was already on this site reading and knew it was a scam. LOW AND BEHOLD, i began to tell him this was a scam and BS:) then he got frustrated, called me a fool and hung up the phone.
ELDERLY PPL BE VERY AWARE of these scams! what if they really come to your door step and you are alone! I put a Knife right beside the door just in case they show up without my knowledge.
    PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

These people just don't give up.  The same story . Car and millions for $300 on a green dot card. They have been calling me for months. Said I won because I was a shopper and Walmart and was a 3 place prize winner. I just want them to leave me and my dad who is 90 years old alone. Have contacted the police. They said they could do nothing. I am about to change my number. What a bunch of bottom feeders. Dont fall for the scam!!!

I received the call from someone calling himself John David at 876-892-3973 telling me I won 2.5 million.  All I had to do was pay the shipping fees by purchasing a Green Pack Card from CVS and put 500 dollars on it to have my check delivered within 2 hours.  I live from paycheck to pay check and this really makes me hot that people are so sick to do this to anyone.  I am lucky to have loved ones who make we look it up on the Internet to verify first, if not I would have fallen for it too.  He just called me back a minute ago and I told him I wasn't falling for his scam.  If I wasn't a Christian, I would have told him a lot more!!!!!  IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS!!!!  Hopefully, GOD will bless us in other ways and put his full wrath on these people

On Wednesday, October 23, 2013, I received a telephone call from a private number stating my telephone number was randomly selected by mega millions and I had won 7 million dollars and a pearl white Mercedes Benz. The caller identified himself as Mr. Billy Benjamine of Mega Millions, affiliated with Publisher's Clearing House. He instructed me to go to the CVS to purchase a green dot card in the amount of $199.00 in order for him to make the delivery. After giving him the numbers off the green dot card he talked a few minutes, than said I needed to go to the CVS again to purchase another green dot card in the amount of $276.00 to cover the gold stamp of approval on the check in order for the bank to process the 7 million dollar check in several days.  When I told him I did not want the gold stamp of approval he commented it was mandatory.   When I refused to purchase a second card, I was told the delivery could not and would not be made until I did as he instructed. The lights went off and I than realized I had been scammed.  Of course he constantly call me several times a day trying to convince me to give them more money.  He constantly uses GOD in his speaking and he is a very mild mannered gentle sounding man and can be very deceiving. I definitely will be reporting him to my attorney generals office.  Please beware of this scammer.

They are still at it.  Sophia Adkins from Megamillions Jackpot Headquarters just called me to say they have sent me 4 letters since October 2012 about my large winnings of $650,000.  They say they had to get special permission from the FTC to contact me before the money is released to the United Negro College Foundation who sponsored that sweepstakes drawing.  I have a direct number to her, a corporate number, a file claim number, a check serial number, and a megamillion size dose of skepticism.  A courier will supposedly deliver a certified check from Bank of America and the necessary 1099 forms tomorrow.  Yeah....right. She cautioned me not to tell anyone of the large amount of money headed my way and asked if I wanted the award to be made privately or publicly.

She says they will never ask for money and to beware of any foreign accents who may call.  LOL  I am forwarding this right now to the BBB.  I kept her going long enough to get a lot of information.  I sure wish they could find a way to stop this.  I won't participate but I know a lot who will, especially in these hard times.

    Trying to Help my Friends

People, like my friends, who are caught up in this scam have such a hard time listening to reason. All they seem to be able to do is think of what the money will buy. Reminds me of voters who listen to the politician's lies & believe it all because they are from the same 'Party.' Now I understand, the scammers do it out of greed, those who get scammed have the same problem... greed. That's why the scammer knows exactly what to say, because he speaks the language of 'greed' very well. Most people, like my friends, can control their greed under normal conditions. But, when someone comes along with the right tricks to spark their greed, all that's left is to fan the flame until it burns out... the scammer has taken all he can get out of them. I pray I can wake my friends up in time. I would rather see them mad at me than see them lose even more money they can't afford to lose.

I just got the call too - and, wow, is it just in time!  Of course, I'm kidding.  Just a heads up, my call came from a California number and the names have changed from some listed in previous posts.  Among my benefactors are George Goodman, David Summers and Peter Humphrey (all having very similar accents and voices and reached at the same number - 805-308-2538).  My authorized IRS accountant is Corazon Wrap of Union City CA.  All I have to do to collect my $5.5 Million is head to my local Western Union office within the next hour and send HER $1099.00.

As you can see I played their game long enough to get several names and phone numbers.  What a shame that honest, hard working people are subjected to such despicable scams.

I think I'll head to my local QuikTrip and buy a legitimate lottery ticket!
