Thom Mcan Shoes from K-Mart

I purchased a pair of Thom Mcan shoes from my local K-mart last week. This is the first pair of Thom Mcan that I have ever purchased. I wore the shoes two days last week and two or three days this week. I looked at the heel of the shoe today and it is coming apart from the actual shoe.

I paid $24.99 for this pair of casual work shoes and did not expect to only be able to wear them a couple of times. I would expect that buying a pair of "off brand" shoes at Payless, but not a pair of Thom Mcan's. I have heard so many positive things about the shoes and how comfortable they are, which I do agree with the comfort, but am disappointed in the make.

I do not know if maybe I received an "abnormal" pair or is this what is to be expected from your company. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.

I think hers may have been an "abnormal" pair, but my experience with Thom McAn loafers has changed over the years.  I have a couple of pairs of Thom McAn leather loafers that I got from K-mart (probably 5) years ago that have been wonderful shoes.  They look awful now, though, and are starting to let water in on rainy days, so I went back to K-mart to get a new pair of Thom McAn's.  The pair I got (a little over a year ago) are not quite as bad as the ones in this complaint, but they don't compare to my previous ones!  The workmanship is not as good, and they are not nearly as comfortable.  I was very disappointed, as I thought getting these shoes would be a sure-fire choice.

My heels are coming off of mine as well. I just looked up Kmart's return policy. It's terrible. I"m going to try to return them, but the new return policy does not let you return ANYTHING after 30 days, no exceptions. Mine were 29.99 but were SO comfortable. Oh well. Live and learn. Invest in your feet, they carry you everywhere.

I agree and I lived near their factory 40 yrs ago. The quality of their shoes has drastically declined just like many other companies that left the USA. Corporate offices maybe here but product NOT made in America. I just lost my job of 26 yrs for same reason, GREED..Thank our people that climb the ladders of butt kissing and look out for themselves. They are leaders.
I am ashamed of Thom Mcan My last 3 pairs of shoes the heels all cracked in half..

I purchaed Thom Mcan shoes for years to wear to work. They are comfortable and look nice also. The last time I bought 2 pair and one was the # 21336 Black leather Shooties. I got these several times before and never had a problem before but these are falling apart after about 3 weeks. The heal had to be glued already and the stitching is comming out. Its to late to return them but they are falling apart. I will rethink purchasing them again.

I also have bought one pair that I had returned to K-Mart. I had the shoes approximately a month and the soles have started to separate. They gave me a replacement and those are doing the same thing. Anything you can do would be appreciated. Tom

Thom Mcann shoes suck, and I will never buy them again. I bought two pair, and the soles of the shoes have split, and the glue from the soles didnt hold on one pair, and this all happened within a two week period it goes to show. You get what you pay for, We need to start buying American made products.

I also have purchaseda 2 pairs of casual work shoes (Tom McCann) and the first pair I wore 2 days and the tops seperated from the bottom, I don't care how cheap they were 2 days is ridiculous.  The second pair didn't last too much longer.  My bedroom slippers would have probably lasted longer.  I'll never purchase them again.  My job doesn't require being on my feet much.

I had the same problem, both soles split in half, not too keen on the quality, I think that will be my last pair. Didn't make it through the summer, and I have several pairs of sandles so it wasn't like I wore them every day for the last 2 months
