Thom Mcan Shoes from K-Mart

I purchased a pair of Thom Mcan shoes from my local K-mart last week. This is the first pair of Thom Mcan that I have ever purchased. I wore the shoes two days last week and two or three days this week. I looked at the heel of the shoe today and it is coming apart from the actual shoe.

I paid $24.99 for this pair of casual work shoes and did not expect to only be able to wear them a couple of times. I would expect that buying a pair of "off brand" shoes at Payless, but not a pair of Thom Mcan's. I have heard so many positive things about the shoes and how comfortable they are, which I do agree with the comfort, but am disappointed in the make.

I do not know if maybe I received an "abnormal" pair or is this what is to be expected from your company. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.

I just read a lot of the previous posts and I agree with the ones that say the shoes are coming apart.  I had two pairs of work boots and the soles of the boots came un-glued after a time. The boots were comfortable to wear I must say, but the soles were made to LOOK LIKE they were STITCHED to the shoe body, when in fact they were glued-on and the glue did not hold. The rest of the boot held up pretty good although the appearance level drops over time which is expected.

I bought a pair of thom mcan shoes from K-mart, they were black ones by the name ( sharon) the cost was $19.99. Bought them on 10/16/2011, I wore them about 7 times and the stiching started to rip. I took them back to k-mart with my receipt but they wouldn't take them back or give me my money back because it was past the 30 days from when I purchased them. I told them I only wanted to get another pair but refused me of that , they r very comfortable shoes and would buy them again if something is done about this.

This is no lie. I have a pair of Thom Mcan sandals that are at least 15 years old! I would give anything to find another pair as they have support and are so comfortable. I also have a pair of Thom Mcan slip on flats that are finally showing wear, but are several years old. I checked w/KMart but they don't have either style. Boo Hoo!

My husband has a pair of Thom Mcan dress shoes that literally disintergrated on a business trip.  since he doesn't dress up often, I would guess that he has worn these shoes 5 times at  most. They looked beautiful when I packed them.    As his day went on he kept noticing black on the carpet, then he noticed his shoes were funny.  When he looked at them, the entire sole was coming apart.    I am guessing that the rubber just broke down.    To say the least, this will be our last pair of Thom Manan dress shoes.

I love my Thom McCann shoes!I cannot find another Pair like these. I bought 3 pr over the years and am looking for more. They are children's size 4 tan leather sandals. They have a butterfly design w/ a 1" rubber sole. These did not wear out fast. I have worn them every spring-fall for 8 years total. I purchased these at K-Mart, but cannot find any more. I really need another pr. Could you tell me where to find them?

Don't loose sight of the fact that the Mcan shoes you remember from many years ago were made in the US.  The ChiCom crap Sears and K-Mart peddle today is no comparison.

Thom Mcan shoes used to be only sold in their stores in the mall.  I was surprised to see them in Kmart.  I have owned several pairs with no problems.  They are one of the few companies that make wide shoes and I wish they made high heels.  Unfortunately everyone is trying to save money and cutting corners so the quality is going to suffer.  Too bad.

This is the 5th pair of Thom Mcans I have purchased in the past 3 years all ending in the soles spliting, guess you get what what you pay for.

I bought 2pair o Thomas McCann loafers (black and brown) after only wearing the black pair a couple (5) times the inside heel ripped away from the inside of the shoe causing my heel to set crooked.  After wearing my brown pair a great deal more I have noticed it is starting to do the same.  I'm upset because I really like the feel and look of these shoes.  Probably will not purchase again.

Last year my co-worker and I each bought a pair of your black slip on clogs called Erin.  We both noticed recently that the soles have each cracked semetricaly all the way through .  This is a manufacture defect and when I showed the to the store clerk she said I only had 90 days in which to return them.  Well they probably started cracking on the 91st day.  I. Like the shoes but they should have exchanged them for a new pair. My coworker is underweight and I am a bit over so that had no bearing on how they broke.   Clearly a defect in the factory.  Improve your products and you'll then improve  your sales!  Hope to hear from you but doubtful.
