I Have received 2 calls in 2 days at supper time from an individual named Nathan.  He states he is calling from Gallup Poll.  Interestingly, the first night he also stated he was calling from Wells Fargo?

In both instances I have informed him that this is an unlisted number. Also, this number is on the National DoNotCall list since 2003.  In both instances I have demanded he remove us from their list.

In both calls, Nathan has refused to acknowlege or agree to take us off their calling list and also refuses to hang up.  It is necessary to hang up on him.

Is there some sort of scam going on here with Gallup Poll?  Can this person continue to harass us every night at supper time?   What can I do to stop this?

I worked for wells Fargo for about a year and a half. Always on time to work, rarely out of balance, willing to cover shifts of other employees who called in. Yet I was let go because I didn't have perfect 5 surveys. Most of the surveys were all 5's and one 4, and I was written up. Please, please, please if you get the call remember it effects the person who helped you and unless there were some major issues, their job depends on all 5's.

I had no idea how strict they were. I thought maybe all 5 meant a bonus. I didn't know that 4s meant getting fired. Sheesh. I have no desire to work at Wells Fargo now.

I have gotten 2 calls from a woman stating she was with Southern Hills Hospital and wanted to conduct a survey regarding my recent stay.  When I told her, both times, that I did not have time for the survey she then stated she was actually calling from the Department of Health.  The last call was this afternoon.  I did not take the survey and she said she will call back the middle of next month.  In the meantime, while my caller ID showed the call as "No Name" the number that came up is "(402) 952-4444."  In looking at the internet, that is the Gallup Poll.  All of you employees, above, should advise your employers that the employees of Gallup Poll conducting the surveys are so pushy, rude and deceitful, that it could very easily lead to a negative survey that has nothing to do with the service you have provided.  Instead, it is in direct response to their attitude and behavior.

I received a phone call last night from a man who claimed to be with Gallup Poll and called on behalf of Wells Fargo Bank.  He informed me the call was being recorded, and asked me if I went into ____Branch on ____ to make changes to an account?  I asked his name, he gave it, and questioned the validity of the call, he repeated the info about Wells Fargo and a survey, so I agreed to proceed with the call.  He repeated the question above to which I answered, "yes" and he then repeated a part of the question, "So you are confirming you are _______and you went to the ______branch on ______to make changes to an account?, I then stated "no, it was my brother who made the changes", to which he replied, "Oh! it was your brother who made the changes, then thank you very much for your time" and hung up.  I do not have an account at Wells Fargo, however I am POA and Beneficiary to my brothers account.  I find this type of call disturbing, and the fact that it is being recorded, as such.  In these days of identity theft, this kind of survey approach has to be a total waste of time, and certainly does not do any bank staff justice in regards to the type of services performed.  The call came in at dinner time, the Gallup Poll rep talked way too fast, and in my opinion, creates an atmosphere of concern and fear do to the unusual nature of the call (being recorded).  Wells Fargo should try another type of approach, this one stinks!

I work for Wells Fargo and gallup polled my customers on my service twice in  one day. Then one the next day and one the day after that.  They were mostly 4s which customers think is very good but in Wells Fargo world it is bad and you will be written up and terminated. I've worked for Wells Fargo for 4 years and now I am going to lose my job because of the survey. So please if you get a call give the teller 5s. Remember you are not grading the bank you are grading the person that serviced you.

I totally agree with you!  I work for SunTrust and they do the same thing except for it's ratings are 1-10.
SunTrust wants all 10's.  8's are considered 0's!  You get 10 percent for each 9.  So if you get 5-9's and 5-8's you end up with a 50%.  Obviously clients think 8's or 9's are good ratings ( I personally think so, too) but the bank does not!  Honestly banks are losing great employees over this!  This system is flawed!  Clients think they are giving good scores and the banks don't agree.  It's a shame!  No wonder banks are always hiring for teller positions!  What does that say to a client?

Sorry to hear that Wells Fargo treats their employees this way. We have heard of this happening when customers rate below a 5. I cannot explain the insight of your company. We too have a workplace standard that is just sickening. We are required to have PERFECT quality and 100% production everyday. Not having this can result in a 400 dollar or more reduction in pay for a two week period. We recently have been seeing employees demoted from 14.00 base to 9.75 base for being under these standards. It is not a comfortable workplace anymore. Nothing special about this company. Many health issues and people not able to eat and pay simple bills. I am not overstating. It is the truth. Our managers are suppose to act as cheerleaders and they just make me ill. They have NOTHING to cheer about. Sorry to see this company in decline. Use to be a nice place to work. Wonder what CEO Jim Clifton is eating for Christmas.....

When we do the surveys for Banks and Hospitals, we ARE NOT given ANY personal information. We are trying to find out how your service was during your visit. The DO NOT CALL list excludes Gallup.... You can read about it on the website.

I received a call from Veronica. I don't know her last name, yet Wells Fargo gave her my private information first and last name. I never authorized Wells Fargo to release my name to anyone, especially Gallup Poll.

I spoke to Matt Kurz at 402.498.4223 he is a supervisor at Gallup Poll and that is his direct line if you want to reach him. He hung up on me after I told him that if my information was compromised, I would go after them and find a way to get Veronica's last name.

Dude, your first and last name are not private. Not by a stretch. Your utility companies have them, your realtor, your paper boy, the lady next door, and the phone books. Google. Reverses phone look-up. Heck, I could probably get it.
Whoever Veronica is, you just made a threat against her, via her SUPERVISOR! Better hope she stays OK, huh?

I work for Gallup as well, on the professional team. When we work for businesses, they give us a number, a name, a location and perhaps a date of a visit for us to follow up on. I don't know why everyone is so panicked. Your utitlity people have your name, phone number AND address ferchrissake. So does your grocery and pharmacy. What's the big deal?
A RDD (random dial poll) the computer dialer dials random numbers into a dialer so the sample is truly random. Be at least polite to the interviewer. If you ask them to block your number, they will. If you swear at them, tell them they are losers, just hang up on them or are an assh0le in any other way, they DO have the ability to just keep putting your number back in the dialer in perpetuity. Don't lie to them either. We have call logs. We KNOW we didn't call you at 4:30 in the morning or 54 other times. There's a list on our screen showing EXACTLY when the dialer called you AND whether you answered or not.
It's like anything else. Be nice to us, we'll be nice to you.... and vice versa.

The Gallup employee is given the number. Please tell me why someone would write down your number just to call you multiple times when the computer gives us a new number every time? Why would we continue to call an [***] when the next RANDOMLY GENERATED NUMBER could be someone sweet who loves Gallup? People are dumb

All the banks are using gallup for surveys on their service.  You are rating the employee.  Please, if the service was great, please rate them the highest score possible.  10's are great.  8's or lower are BAD!  Employees are getting written up and terminated over a series of 8 or below scores.  Thank you!
