I don't appreciate getting a call from an "interviewing" company, since I'm unemployed, I thought it was a REAL interviewer.......how tacky to scam people in need of a job.........why not use the word "survey", because ultimately that's what this company is.  Besides  other choice words I could think of to call them!

I worked for B.R., Everytime I introduced myself I said this: Hi there my name is _____ I am calling from B.R. Interviewing and today we are conducting a survey... whatever it was about to who ever it was about. I am confused at why you would think that an 'interviewing' company would call you? Do you not listen when people talk to you?

OK.  I just received a call from BR.  Normally, I do not mind surveys but I asked if the call was non partisan.  he said he was the one asking the questions.  That is why I refused to be interviewed.

Thats BS.  The caller did not identify himself and would not disclose the reason for his call other than he wanted to ask a few questions.  Annoying unsolicited calls!

I have a Panasonic wireless phone for my home land line.  It can block  up to 240 numbers.  I use it to screen all calls.  Anyone who calls me and hangs up without leaving a message is blocked.  Any legitimate caller would leave a message and if they start to, I pick up.  It took about 8 months to fill 240 blocks.  After that, I remove 20 of the oldest numbers at a time to make space.  By that time telemarketers have changed their numbers anyway.  The only time I answer an unknown number is if I am expecting some kind of delivery and the driver is scheduled to call with a delivery time window.  Tell anyone you do business with about this policy and to leave a message.  It works great!

Are you joking? I don't care why you're calling me.  If I don't answer the phone the first 7 times, why can't you get the hint? You should be put in jail for your arrogance.

Impossible to block their number because they change their phone number by spoofing it as often as we change our underwear.

So true! I had one company I blocked their number 23 times and they still was calling. Told them to take me off the do not call list asked the company they work for and didn't get a answer. It finally stopped about 2 months later!!

Listen working on the phone isn't easy and if you answer and ask them not to call it is a lot easier.  You seem like a real [***]

Rinne-I understand where Joanne Cecere said.  On caller ID shows BR Interviewing. But no one say anything after I answer the phone. My son is looking for a job and has many resumes out there so I answered the phone when the ID showed BR Interviewing. I do listen when people talked to me but who ever is calling " chicken little"  they do not say anything. Sometimes you have to listen and read between the lines.

"Listen when people call you?" wtf. They dont say anything, so I "listen" to air and they hang up. YOU obviously dont know what YOU are talking about. I didnt ask them to call me and I am on the do not call registry. I wonder what part of "do not call" THEY dont understand ???

Let me clarify your confusion a bit. Just got a call from an entity that caller ID said was BR Interview, and the caller did not follow your protocol. Asked for my wife directly without identifying himself or anything else. Scam callers are everywhere. This was one.

You worked as a telemarketer, your opinion is therefor invalid on this topic. You are a serial harasser and if you don’t see it that way, you must lie to yourself so you don’t realize how negatively your work affects so many other people.
