I don't appreciate getting a call from an "interviewing" company, since I'm unemployed, I thought it was a REAL interviewer.......how tacky to scam people in need of a job.........why not use the word "survey", because ultimately that's what this company is. Besides other choice words I could think of to call them!

I'm also including the link from the FCC regarding what they're doing about these unwanted calls. https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/stop-unwanted-robocalls-and-texts
Robo calls from NJ? NJ needs LAW AND ORDER AND A NEW GOVERNOR!
Can you spell S-C-A-M?
The reason for the brief moment of silence is sometimes a computer automatically routes the calls and it takes a second or two to connect to an agent.
Chances are, if you are patient and wait a moment there will be someone on the line. If not, just hang up.
Yes, these calls can be annoying, but these interviewers are REAL PEOPLE. Please keep that in mind. The job is not the best, but at least they are trying to earn a wage and have put in the work to get a job. Many people do not have the chance to do so, or just choose not to. These interviewers are trying to earn a paycheck to pay for someplace to live, for food, education, or to take care of their families. If you are not interested in surveys, or receiving calls, that is fine and understandable. Just treat interviewers as you would want to be treated, be polite, and give the company a little bit of time to make sure your number is completely removed from their lists.
No idea why people are so bitter on here though. It’s a legit job and I did something similar back in college. The auto dialers are what causes the “dead air” a lot as it doesn’t connect to the company as quickly as it should. When you call thousands of people/day you can’t do it manually. I’m waiting to see if they honor the opt out before passing judgement.
