I don't appreciate getting a call from an "interviewing" company, since I'm unemployed, I thought it was a REAL interviewer.......how tacky to scam people in need of a job.........why not use the word "survey", because ultimately that's what this company is. Besides other choice words I could think of to call them!

The legitimate research I did in the past had all sorts of strictures in place to assure random sampling; one, we never called the same number twice, unless a relationship for call-backs was made on the first call. These scripted calls cloak the true nature and identity of the actual purpose, which may be a push poll or marketing ploy disguised as a consumer survey. They also hide the identity of the purchaser of the service, ie who is paying for the call you are getting, who might be anyone at all, from the Koch Brothers to ISIS.
Nine years running, they are clearly protected by well-oiled legislators uninterested in any real consumer protection. We get the kind of government others are willing to pay for.

DO not answer them when they ask for you by your name. that type of scam
When you pick up the phone and no one answers on the other end, they are not "playing games" with you. The reason no one responds (at least not right away) is that these robocalls are dialed out automatically by a computer. When you answer the call, the computer is supposed to connect you to one of the employees.
When no one answers, it probably means that no employees are available at that time. And the computer is waiting for one of them to pick up the call.
But if you really want to get any spammer or surveyor angry, just waste a bunch of their time. If they are selling something, keep them on the line for awhile like you are interested, then just say "sorry, I changed my mind" and hang up. Or if it's a survey, give incorrect or weird answers and then tell them you made everything up or forgot to take your medicine. If you have the time, it's fun to make them as angry as they make you!
