    UAD is a scam

    Do not believe anybody posting here that they were satisfied with United Auto Defense.  The company is a scam company, run by ex US Fedilis employees.  It is located in St. Charles, MO, but uses a GA address so the BBB in St. Louis doesn't give them an "F" rating.  They do not give back refunds and intentionally misrepresent advertising to consumers.  Please do not get fooled by these crooks....

    I just got a card stating TSB Notice for my 2012 Chrysler.  It says call 1-800-267-9566 to activate your repair protection.  As a car mechanic, I first thought this was from Chrysler wanting to advise about technical service bulletins, but as I looked real close on the bottom of the card it states: Technical Service Bulletins are provided by your vehicle manufacturer and repair facilities....  United Auto Defense (UAD) is not associated with your velhicle Manufacturer and provides Vehicle Service Contracts issued by insured administrators to protect vehicle owners from the high cost of Technical Service related vehicle repairs.
    I did not like the round about way of trying to get you to call their phone number. I think they should state plainly that they are offering extended warranty and not use the TSB appearance of OEM.  I would expect their service to be just as sly and would likely try to get out of paying any claims that the fine print allows.  Beware!

      I just got a very similar postcard. I'm betting that the TSB is fake because the "do not call list" act does not apply to such things!
      Also, no information on the card whatsoever about the content of the TSB, and ridiculously short notice for the "inspection cutoff date"; I guess I'll treat it like a hippy would a draft card.

      I like the way you explained it.  I think they should state it the way you have written it.  I did get a refund when I canceled because it's just not a coverage I can afford at this time.  Thank you.

    It is a scam big time!!!! I used to work there. I know allllll about it. 30 day refund on your down payment they say. But it takes 45 day to get your paper work. That's what they will say just put down the down payment so we can send out the paper work so you can read it in writing once you read it you will want to keep it. You will receive your paper work in 10 to 12 business days. WRONG!!!!! You won't receive it for months by then your down payment is no longer refundable. Basically they don't cover [***] lots of fine print in that contract. You will never get your money back.

      Oh yes i will get money back i used ae and i have contacted them a put U C Defense on notice with them. If i have issues i will be totally refunded!!

      It didn't take that long for me to get my paperwork.  And I got my refund.  The only thing I was unhappy about is that it took a long time to get the refund. I just they could use a better office manager.

        How did you get your refund? We keep trying and they told us to email, I've emailed over 5 times in the past week and no replies or calls, we called and they keep telling me to just send the email ...

      It didn't take that long for me to get the paperwork.  I got my money back.  The only thing I was unhappy about is that it took a long time to get my money back.  They could use a new office manager.

    Why are they still able to send cards and call folks to scam them? They belong in jail!
