For some reasons I happen to fall into their sales trap, where I swiped with my credit card first down ~300$ with recurring payments of ~200$ for 18 months. I immediately realized that it was a scam where they charge the external auto warranty ridiculously high when I contacted my car dealer. I called back after 30 minutes to cancel the plan, the sales person was extremely reluctant and did return my first down payments. After a month, the recurring payments were not canceled as promised; thus I tried to call the company back, and realize that they BLOCKED my phone!!!

This is still an ongoing case, I'm asking my credit card company to block the recurring payments, do not trust these losers from UAD!!!

The mailed notice states that my factory warranty is expired for my 2014 Jeep. It's 2015 and the warranty does not expire for 2 years. I called and asked the person on the phone why the notice stated that and she became argumentative and rude.  She called me rude for asking a valid question, because she was defensive about the misleading notice, which she knows is a lie to get people to call. United Auto Defense is a scam.

UAD is a very bad company.  They lie, cheat and steal. They have underhanded business practices and karma is about to kick in.

    Taking care of scammednaged mother
My aged mother was scammed by this company. Somehow they got her info and initiated a contract, which she never received, and set up auto payments through PayLink of $197.75 on her credit card, after an initial downpayment of $395.00! Her Credit card company did contact her immediately about suspected fraud and refunded the payment on her account and closed that card. A new credit card number was issued but never activated. In fact, as her POA I requested the card to be cancelled and in effect all accounts closed. One month later the $197.95 was drawn on her new replacement card (the one never activated). Credit Card Company's Bad!
UAD representative was rude and inappropriate at best. They did accept a verbal cancellation of contract but would not give any verification in any way of that action. I did notify the credit card company to Freeze all accounts and stop payment to PayLink of any future draws on the account.

it sounds like you're frustrated that your mother purchased the program.  That's understandable- that's your prerogative.  But no one would know she is not authorized to make decisions to purchase services on behalf of herSELF without your consent; unless she stated so..?
Monthly payments are not even through paylink? ?  and it's not possible to bill a card that you don't provide an account number for; unless your mother called back in and provided an account number for the new card.  The representatives are sales people not psychics. ijs

Just a telemarketing company....I like most would like to know how they received my info and from who...they definately have noooo idea where they got it...They fitst said they work with the dealer....I thought that was weird since..so do I....Then they said the insurance company which they could not name...then the guy got frustrated and said it was public info. So I asked from what source and he could not tell me...I for one will never purchase a warranty on anything I own from a telemarketer or off of some infomercial. ..also watch for the mailers...If i want warranty I will get it from the place I purchased the item....I find it strange that my info is public record...but where they got it from is not....What a joke...

I just received a card from this company. It clearly states in red letters: "Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) NOTICE". This is obviously false. Pathetic scam artists everywhere! Heck, I never answer the phone anymore since the majority of calls are from these scum/scams.

If it were legitimate, it would definitely include some information about WHAT the issue was.

Glad to see all the comments above. I received this "Vehicle Alert Notice" which advise "Very Urgent and Time Sensitive." It advised that the warranty on my car may have already expired and that this notice was very "URGENT."  The ominous tone of the notice was uncharacterisitic of Ford or any other car manufacturer. Then, I realized it didn't say Ford anywhere on it. My warranty is for three more years. I called the number out of curiosity, and a representative told me they "use the same administrators as Ford." Otherwise, no relationship.  I've been scammed before. Hopefully, life experiences are finally teaching me to look very closely at things that seem out of sorts. Was comforted to see the correlative remarks above.

My friend used the company and when she sold her vehicle six months ago she requested her promised refund and still no response. Contaced BBB and they are not getting a response from them either. I am trying to help her because she is a single mother and works hard and has no time or computer. She can not afford to hire a lawyer, so I had a thought if this company is as bad as I am reading about I wonder if it would be a case for a lawyer to handle a class action suit. I believe that there are enough unsatisfied customers that would be interested in seeing them get what they deserve. Please ask your lawyer if this could be a way for all these people to get resolution.

I received a TSB also and called the number. This guy had a lot of info on my car so I started to think this may be real. However I listened to my gut and told him I was driving and had to call him back. I immediately called Toyota service dept and asked about any TSB'S and he looked up my Vin # to verify and there weren't any. He did say there are some TSBS put there for other vehicles like mine that are for recent models. He also verified that all TSBS are covered under warranty at no charge to the customer. If in doubt, check it out at the true source before you hand over the key to your wallet!!!!

Got an officious looking TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. Called the number for entertainment only. It's a scam. They claim my car has a bunch of "issues" as listed on SaferCar.GOV. They're selling useless warranties. Bunch of nonsense.

Using phony "TSB"s.. replies to Tired O'Scammers
to deceive victims into calling is a deceptive marketing tactic.  It implies they are connected to the manufacturer, and deceptively gets around the Do Not Call laws.  Contact FTC to file a complaint, and send them a copy of the phony TSB.
