I caution any one that has a mortgage with Bank of America to be VERY CAREFUL! My dad and I share a mortgage with Bank of America, and Bank of America changes their billing address from time to time and if you do not receive an address change from them or you miss it in the mail Bank of America does receive your payments but now it is at what they consider to be the wrong location and this department holds your payment and will not forward your payment to the new billing address.

Then when you fall behind on your mortgage they foreclose on you! This is what happened to my dad and I had to file chapter 13 for him to keep his property! I make payments for my dad via online banking with my bank and my bank actually sent BOA a letter asking them to withdraw their foreclosure proceedings, cancel any late charges applied to his account and restore his good credit because my bank had proof copies of all the checks that went un-cashed.

They were sent on time but to the now wrong location because Bank of America had changed their billing address and unfortunately for us we did not receive a change of billing address notification this time, yes they have changed it before but we caught it that time. The request from my bank was refused! Why? My bank told me straight up that this is how Bank of America got to be so big! They deliberately change billing address from time to time and if you miss it for what ever reason Bank of America then forecloses because they don't receive your payments!

They receive the payments, but it's the wrong department and they just don't forward them! Proof? After chapter 13 was filed we received back one of the first checks that BOA claimed that they didn't receive, it was dated pre-foreclosure! They just flat held it until the chapter 13 was filed then sent it back. Had I not filed the chapter.13

BOA would have legally defrauded my 82 year old dad out the land he worked so hard for most of his life. If you have a mortgage with Bank of America "BE CAREFUL, BE VERY CAREFUL"! Check up on your billing address at least every six months. Thanks.

Bank of America lies and gives you the run around and they  have many  employees who can't speak clear  english. They bought my loan from Ampro with a miss pelled street adress then when I went to apply for the Fannie Mae refi you could not find me in the Fannie Mae lookup system. Then was told to get a 911 letter, Tax authority letter or a official post office letter with why the adress was changed!  BA made it seem so easy to just request this letter to change the  deed well it was not !  It took about 30 calls and I spoke to 7 diffirent supervisors, sent in 10 copies from tax authoritys office that  verified  the correct street name spelling, 4 letters from the Tax authority office and still not good enough finally had to contact the OCC and a lawyer to get them to accept the final Tax authority representives letter. Still waiting on the new Deed. and correction to go to Fannie Mae. This System is a big Joke  I think they try to discourage you from correcting  errors  to keep you from being able to refinance at a lower rate.

This Bank is part of the problem of the collapse of our financial system.

I am trying to have my high interest loan modified. I have submitted every document requested. I am dealing with one worker. Another calls me to request what the first one says was OK. It seems like they are fighting for a commission. Finally, the second one has all the documents while the first one decides to close the case for lack of documentations. What kind of harassing games are being played here?Does the goverment need to know. To whom and where do I report that practice.? Should I call the news papers ? My health is quickly deteriorating because of BAM. Sick Granny.

We have been locked into a mortgage refinance with BOA  since 7/6/2012.  It is 10/17/2012 and suddenly they want to close right away today or we will lose the refinance of 2.3% at 109,000 to now 113,000.  They're also claiming they did not get our October payment, which was sent within the time frame.  I think it's time to call the lawyer.  This is a nightmere. Ridiculous.  They said:  we were being rediculious! ha!  SPEAK TO MY LAWYER!!!!!   THEY SUCK

Does anyone know about BOA loans being sold to Vericrest Financial?  We had our loan modified last year, but fell behind 2 months during the early part of this year due to our baby's medical condition (medical fragile child), but worked out a payment plan that is done next month. Got a letter in the mail today saying that all payments must now be made to this new company. Call BOA, got transferred to a special supervisor Tammy, saying that Freddie Mac loans have been sold. Told her we did not have a Freddie Mac, started out with a small no name company, than with in a month was sold to CountryWide, than when they went under, again was sold to BOA. My question is, our we going to lose our home? This company Vericrest said they have no information on our loan (even though Tammy said our payment plan, Intrest rate, loan monthly payment and loan # stays the same). I don't know who to ask, or which company, if any is telling us the truth. We can't lose our home...someone help please.

My mother refinanced with BOA, she has 2 other properties with notes from other lenders and she also has 2 vacant lots in her name. She went to refinance the rental she has to get a better rate & BOA had put a lien on all her properties even tho the refinance she did was on her own personal property alone. You want to talk about really screwing up!

Please!  For your own sake and your families; don't get a mortgage with BofA!  You've read people's personal stories of HELL!  Why would you ever consider BofA???  Go with a small, local credit union!  I have a mortgage and have been through HELL with this company!  I will never ever do business with BofA EVER again.  They put people in FINANCIAL RUIN!

    Mad as hell
Bank of America has ignored repeated requests for a loan modification. We've sent them our financial information numerous times, and was finally told they would hot help us. Most recently they've told us the Fedex envelope we sent them never arrived. I hope they know after screwing so many people they certainly will all burn in Hell...

Well I can't find my previous complaint on here, but it must be here somewhere because the BAA "Social Media Team" tracked me down and left a message on my cellphone wanting more details (of course when I called back I was told to leave a message!)  So last week I went into a random BAA branch to begin closing my accounts since I couldn't get anyone on the phone to solve my BAA issues & stop the harassing phone calls and came across a BAA employee who actually took the time to try to help get to the bottom of their harassment -- She spent an hour 1/2 on the phone going thru BAA's automated HELL and found that as I said my mortgage was paid off, my credit line was paid off and BAA actually OWES me money!  She was told the harassing phone calls from collection would stop and I would be receiving checks in the next 10 days... Total relief, so off I go without closing my accounts for now.   So now almost a week later I get yet ANOTHER PHONE CALL from BAA's COLLECTION DEPARTMENT!  HOW STUPID ARE THESE PEOPLE!!!   Worst of all, the phone doesn't even ring, it goes straight to voicemail and you can't get through to anyone when you call back!  Now waiting to get through to the person in the random branch who helped last week -- Maybe she can find a REAL PERSON to stop the IDIOTS in BAA's Collection Department!  If they spent as much energy HELPING CUSTOMERS as they do chasing people who DON'T OWE THEM ANYTHING, just MAYBE they wouldn't be the most hated bank out there!

I've been in a modification nightmare with this godawful company for 17 months now! Modification was approved, trial payments were made, permanent mod documents were signed, notarized & returned promptly. I verified that all documents were received and all required signatures were present. I was sent copies of permanent mod documents after being signed & notarized by a bank of America representative and now they say I'm denied because I never signed & returned the documents! I'm now on my 6th account manager who says they can't correct the error so I now have to go through an appeal process. These people are nothing more than financial terrorists and they need to be stopped.

I was paying my payment at the BOA branch every month. I never wanted to get caught up in this mess. I found out that the teller would withdraw the money from my account and then they would change the funds into a check and send it. BOA said I was making partial payments and I told them the teller looks it up and I swipe my debt card and pay the payment. They tell me that they have been sending the payments back to me the way I gave it to them, this is untrue, because they never credited my account. I guess they said I was writing them checks but I do not have checks from their bank. Now they want to foreclose on my house saying I did not pay and they have added thousands of dollars worth of fees.  This is so confusing and I can never talk to the same person twice and the branch manager does not understand either he has been trying to help me.  UGH this is making me sick......

Get an attorney familiar with real estate and mortgage litigation.  NOT one of the "mortgage negotiation" scams.

There is a lot of money at risk here, and you don't want to lose it just because you don't know what to do.
