I was called & severely harassed by the so-called LLC Law Firm in New York 646-873-6094 ! These East Indian people called today basicity yelling at me about a loan from Advance America, telling me that I am in trouble & will go to jail for fraud if I don't pay them $730 immediately!  The names of the people who i spoke to where, Nick Stevens, Paul Simmons & a John Waydam! They also told me that he hope I had already had an attorney ready to go! So of course I'm freaking out at that point so I told them I had to call them back & I called Advance America & told them everything that had happened & I was informed that my load had been sold to a collection company not affiliated with this LLC Law Firm & I'm not ganna be going to jail for not paying my loan (which I will be now lol) Anyways, I decided to call them back & act like I wanted to pay them to get more information to give to Advance America & they refused to give me the whole name of the Law office or even the name of the lawyer that was ganna take me to court! In closing, Advance America told me that there has been complaints like this going around lately! So please, if anything happens to you, investigate it first because a real law office has to give you that basic information!

    They call me so often I find them amusing unless I am in the middle of a case.  They aren't too bright as I am an attorney,and they are calling a law office asking if I have an attorney.  This is a scam, they are located in India, the telephone numbers VOI numbers so they are not traceable, some are google numbers. I usually will call them back several times repeatedly so they have to discontinue usage of a number.  Previously and today, I tweeted their number saying they were giving away Ipad 2s.  Unfortunately the law has not caught up with technology.

    Funny. You & I owe the exact same amount.  Guess, I'll see you at the court house too. :) I am gonna do everthing I can to get them shut down!

    I received a call on my answering machine from an Anthony Lodger threatening me and said that "if you dont return my call, you will be responsible for what i can do to you". I called back, the same guy answered the phone and at first didnt know who i was talking about, then he said Anthony wasnt there. Then, five seconds later, when i called back again,he was on the other line. He gave me all kinds of crap, with his fake India accent, so i told him to go f*** himself. the number he called from was 646-274-3529.

    First off I am not the person these pricks called for. Nor is it legal to call some one at 0500 Hrs. 315-413-8012.
    I asked "officer" Mile Bistol what law enforcement Dept. He was with? He stated Investigations Department; Okay... What investigations dept. with what Law Enforcement Department. No Answer.  I asked for case number of alleged "case" no answer. I told him that I now have impersonating a police officer - Felony; Crossing state lines - multiple felonies; committed and act of Harassment - criminal offense and I have filed a police report; traced his phone number back to his location - gave him address and name of company. He then hung up and when called back kept hanging up. I contacted people I know in his area and he or Company is going to get a visit.

    The bottom line is CALL THE POLICE, FILE A REPORT FOR HARASSMENT AT THE MINIMUM. Get the police report number and save it. Also SAVE the call in a recording to play for the police - your proof of harassment. File a formal complaint with the Attorney general's Office in your area. They have to investigate it; they will also fax a copy of the police report to the dept. in this guys area for the detectives to go and visit.

    Contact your telephone company security department and inform them you are getting Harassing telephone calls and give them the number. They have to act on it. Also give them the police report number as well. This shows them a criminal act has been committed and THEY HAVE TO ACT ON IT. To the point of putting a trap on your line.

    Enable call blocking for the number on your phone. If they keep calling from different numbers record the call ( check your laws about that ); keep documents of all calls and any information. Call the police again and inform the you are still being harassed by the same "person or Company" and give them the original report number and you want an officer to file a supplement to the original police report.

    In parting in the extreme CASE FILE A tro - TEMP RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST THIS COMPANY. they CALL AND THEN WILL BE IN VIOLATION. means SOME ONE THERE WILL BE ARRESTED.

    this IS THE ABOVE IS MY OPINION AND WHAT WAS DONE TO HELP A FRIEND. they did not own money. this IS NOT INTENDED AS ANY FORM OF LEGAL ADVICE. enough PEOPLE DO THIS AND SOON IT WILL STOP AND OTHER BOILER AGENCIES THAT BOUGHT BAD DEBIT WILL GET WIND OF IT AND THINK ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS. in THE CASE YOU ARE REALLY TAKEN TO COURT AND WAS GIVEN A VALID CASE NUMBER. You should have been served - no service no case BUT don't ignore it. They get a default judgment which some of these companies hope to and you will have allot of problems.

    in the end if you have to see an attorney.

    I too have been contacted by the same people.  The man calling me is "James Cotter" I think, as I can't understand most of what he says.  I supposedly owe a pay day loan from a certain date, and when I said that wasn't possible, he said "well let me check your chart" and came back with another date.  It was for $300 but if I pay by credit card today, it would be $711 with fees.  I've hung up on him TEN times today, and then he started leaving threatening messages.  I work for the Federal Government, but he doesn't care.  I've called the police department, the Federal Trade Commission, Social Security and my bank.  My co-worker picked up the last call and played along with it for a while, then started giving him grief, saying "can I borrow the money from you to pay this back?" "so, how is it in India today anyway?"  "I'd really hate to be there, well no, I like India, I just wouldn't want to live there" etc. The guy got really mad and started calling him a Mother F**cker and saying he was going to F**k his wife, etc.  It was really threatening and vulgar, and finally hung up on my co-worker. Not to mention, my co-worker is a male, even identified himself as Mr. so-and-so, and the guy still acted like he was talking to me, a female. The first calls a few weeks ago, had me a little worried wondering "if maybe" but that thought didn't last long. I haven't received a call back since he hung up.  Maybe that's what it takes to get him to leave you alone!

    I have received 4 calls within 20 min from a female stating her name is Richard Smith phone # 646-274-3529 yelling at me telling me that I have 3 criminal charges that are being pressed against me and that I need to give them my info. I kept hanging up but the 4th time she called I had enough and told her that she needed to take her scam and shove it and if she continued to call I would be contacting the law on her.(I didn't put it that nice but thats the just of it) Since then she has not called back

    Now I'm getting them from an Alex Parker. He called 5 times in a row threatening me. I told him this is harrassment and not to call back again. Once again, his accent is very thick. I also told him that I knew he was bogus and that I had read all the complaints about him on the internet and that I had filed one too. His response was "oh my goodness, oh my goodness". These jerks need to get a life.

    all consumers must receive written verification of the debt when requested from the company. ask for it to be mailed to you, proving the original amount of the debt and original contract.  if they cannot provide this, there is nothing they can do to you.

    I just received a call today from (315) 413-8012 and was told I supposedly took out a loan and was being investigated for fraud and criminal activity. It is a scam these people are trying to do! I called the police and filed a report with all of the info I was able to get on these people!

    I have also had calls from LLC Law Office in New York City. In March, they called and spoke to my husband. They told him that I owed thousands of dollars but could settle it out of court for $395. They have called several times since then but I always hung up. I argued with the person on the phone today, July 26, and he swore at me, asked me if I was smoking, and said, "Lady, I think you are a mother f***er!" That person also told me that I owed $5000 in hotel fees. I called the number back which was 516-204-0212. A man who said he was Steven Jones told me I took a pay day loan in Dec. 2010 from Advance America Cash Advance. On top of this, he knew my bank account number. I just noticed they took $35 from me in January and February. He was very rude and continued to swear at me on the phone. I don't understand how these people can do this. It really needs to stop!

    I am posting again because I kept calling the people back. I finally got them to admit that they are scam artists. The man who claimed to be the manager told me that his wife is dying in the hospital and nobody will hire him. I got him to tell me that he makes $500 a week for calling people. He said that he does it because the American people make more money than he does. He seems to think it is ok to steal from the "rich" Americans. After dragging more and more information out of this man I got him to admit everything to me and appologize for what he has done. At the end of our conversation he even started crying. If you continue to call and question these people they will eventually crack.

    I received a similar call today from a Frank Foster from LLC Law Offices 2020 Pennsylvania NW 407, Washington, Dc 20006. 509-588-1704. He had a India accent which I could hardly understand. He threatened me with court and garnishments. He had my information and Knew where I worked. Being very cautious I put him off until I got Home. He said he would call me then It's been 2 hours now and he hasn't called. I looked up the address and phone number and they do not exist.

    They claimed to be with the Department of Justice, I called the DoJ switchboard and the Operator passed me to the FBI who stated the call was a scam.  They called a second time, still claiming to be DoJ and I conference the DoJ switchboard on the line and they disconnected.  The number they called me from was 646-918-5106.  The number for the DoJ Switchboard is 202-514-2000 per their website at http://www.justice.gov/contact-us.html

    These people aren't good scammers...Does it make sense to keep calling the same people over and over again with the same old game? They must think Americans are really stupid!!! Also there are always people in the background talking...a real law office would not have all that noise going on in the background. They sound more like a telemarketing office than a law office. Also everyone has an accent. Another thing...the so called charges are for federal crimes in the 100,000s and millions of dollars. The federal government is not going to come after someone for $500, $5000 or some pidly amount like that!!  They make it sound like a person is doing money launderingThey have no grounds for their accusations. Also they would have to prove that a person was taking large amounts of money. Its a scam....I don't think there is anything you can do about it since they are located across the ocean. Stop taking calls from them and protect your identity!

    I have been receiving these aggravating calls all morning. Its a good thing I am a supervisor here and not an employee. I am glad that I had enough common sense to google this so called law firm and found other complaints. It's a good thing that you all cared enough to share your experience for the rest of us who are getting these crazy calls.

    Keep getting calls looking for a Candice from this company. The calls are on the verge of hassarment. They leave messages on the voice mail and call at odd hours. There is no Candice that has this phone number. Does anyone have a way of stopping these calls. When I said I would call the better business bureau they offered the number for me. When I asked for the person who left me the message by name, he said he was one of 300 employees. When I asked for the company name he gave me LLC Law Office out of New York and gave me an employee id number.

    Wow!I came beleive it, the exact thing happen to me today. It is so amazing how these people get our information, and make you think someone got your personal information,if it's the last thing on earth that I do I am going to put a stop to people like this. If we all work together we can do get these people.

    Funny I got a call from Alan Smith also but with a different address same law firm. He got a little pissy with me when I informed him that I have already contacted the local enforcement here and they were well aware of what was going on. Same thing telling me I took out a payday loan (which I didn't) and need to pay it or they will be suing me! I told them file away and don't be surprised when I counter sue your [***]! He hung up on me!

    I recieved a call today from the LLC Law Firm PCS and was told that they had an affidavid against me. They had the last 4 digits of my social security number.  I didn't call them back and have filed a complaint with the FBI as welll as the NYC Police department.  So annoying.
