The practice of this company is a joke. If you receive any calls/letters from these folks submit a dispute to the PA Attonery Generals Office. They will look into the matter and get them off your back. In regards to Terminator...youre a bigot. Theres a right and a wrong and you sir are wrong with your comments.

He may have the right to voice his opinion, but his opinion is still bigoted.

Terminator does have a right to his opinion. He needs to keep it out of the public realm, however-and this is a public forum. And threatening bigots like him should be reported.

I agree. What does these people's religion have to do with anything? Also how do you know they are Jewish?
Oh yeah, I forgot they have Jewish sounding names. You are a PUTZ.

WOW.  Your are right I called 717-540-0161 and Steve picked up the phone.  We need to all start calling him and ask him to buy windows, insurance or something.  They called very early and got me out of bed for someone I have never heard of.

    Another complaint
The homenumber still works. I called and his wife said she would take me off their list. They call me multiple times a day and are the rudest people that I have ever spoke to on the phone. They claim that I owe money for something in 2002 (its 7/2009 now) which of course I have no idea what it is and they dont care. They just keep calling and calling and calling. Everytime they call me I am going to call their home number and see how they like it.

A lot of people care. It's little more than plain stupidity.  And, if people paid there bills Companies wouldn't need Collection Agencies.  And, nope, I don't work for one.  I rec'd a call on cell from the 800#.

They called me and blew a high-pitched sound into the phone. I called them back; got a recorded message, saying I'd be answered by the next available agent; to which he immediately answered; I said I had the wrong number and he said "I don't think so". So, he's a punk. Well I turned him into the donotcall.gov list with the names you listed, Terminator. Thanks for that information. I got the 800-814-6580 about 1:30PM Arizona Standard Time. What's he need to call way out here for?

I got repeated calls from these people on my cell phone, and every time it said my name and "press 1" if you are this person, I would press 1 and it never registered, so finally one day I called it back.  They were trying to collect on a debt (that I had no record of) from 10 years ago!!!!! They had my address from 10 years ago, but somehow had my current cell phone number.  I told them to send their request in writing, and I sent them a response in writing that they would have to provide me documentation of this debt.  I have not heard back from them since.

They have a pattern of consumer complaints of attempting to collect alleged debts from people who do not owe them.  They may just be sending collection letters to anyone with a similar name to some old supposedly bad debt they bought for pennies on the dollar.

The fact that they have both your 10 year old address and your current phone number, on a debt you have no record of, indicates they are skip-tracing names or addresses, possibly through such services as Accurint.  That information can be highly unreliable, and they may even be attempting to collect someone else's debt who once lived at your old address from other people they find who lived there over the years.

This end of the debt collection industry is becoming an increasing problem for consumers who do in fact pay their bills and have good credit.  Debt collectors operating in this way may make all sorts of unfounded claims in an attempt to con consumers into paying unowed debts without proof.

Treat all deceptive attempts to extort unowed payments as criminal acts, and report them to FTC and your state Attorney General.
