I'm job hunting... everytime my cell phone rings and I see a number with area code on it I get excited... decided to query the internet as to who is calling me... 877-671-1851... saw all these wonderfully positive postings... alas no job query... just more cell phone garbage... guess my efforts with the no call list are to no avail.. think this is bad... I was on Sprint's Military Plan... we were overseas for three years... supposed to keep my account in limbo until we moved back to the States... there are not supposed to be charges, but was taxed via New York State... kept having to call Sprint to have numerous charges and bills reversed... Sprint just doesn't get it...
Will leave Sprint when contract runs out... do you hear that Mr. Sprint CEO ?

I saved that number into my address book in my phone as "Sprint telemarketing", so from now on it will come up on the caller ID, and I will never answer it.

I got a call from 877-671-1851. I didn't answer but called the number back. There is an automated option to be removed from this calling list by pressing 6.

I just called Sprint about this number 877-671-1851 who just called me and they said THIS IS NOT A CALL FROM SPRINT OR FOR SPRINT.  DO NOT ANSWER AND IF YOU DO, DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!

You may also want to file a complaint with your state's attorney general or whatever authority handles these matters to stop the scam.

I called sprint. They don't know this number and it isn't one of theirs. They have no idea who is calling from that number. They recommend not talking to them.

I also had a call from this number 877-671-1851, and I am also a sprint customer.  I have had the worst service ever since I switched to Sprint, by the way.  But anyway, it never rang or had a missed call, but I got a voicemail from this number, when I checked the voicemail it was nearly 2 whole minutes of some unintelligible background noise and someone breathing heavily into the phone. CREEPY!!!! I previously had a stalker who would do this, so naturally I freaked.  If I had not found this post, I would still be freaking out.  I honestly hope Sprint has customer service this poor because otherwise that means that they are giving out our information to a third party!

I've gotten two calls from this, and, like another person on here, I just saved the number to my contacts, named it "Telemarketer", then set it to "Send to Voicemail."  I love my Evo. :)

Nick- That's exactly what I did as well. We'll see how they like that!

By the way, there is so much hate on this board for Sprint, when it seems pretty obvious these calls are not actually from them. I don't get it. Does anyone even read the other posts before complaining?

I keep getting calls from this number too at about 8:55 PM daily. I saw your post about calling back and opting for option 6. I just did that. I hope it works. Thanks for the info.

Sprint, I am not well and you just woke me up. I don't need a second line of service. I don't need an autodialer from your company with a mechanical sales person asking me If I want more services. This is rediculous!

To keep from getting fooled into thinking this is an important call I saved this number in my phone as 'telemarketer'.  Now whenever I see that I can ignore the call and move on with my day.  It's still annoying to get the call but at least I know now what its about and dont try to answer or call back.

I called the number back and the recording said to press the number 6 if I didn't want any further calls from them. I did that two weeks ago and have not received any calls from them since.

    Problem Solved
I have been getting these calls for months. I called back and pressed "6" several times. I finally pressed "5" to say I was interested and then gave and earful to the guy who sounded like he was in India. I then called Sprint directly, they say it is not them and they opened a file, told me to submit to the FTC do-not-call registry and then assisted me with blocking the number from calling me. (log on to sprint.com, find "preferences" then at the bottom there's a link for "Limits & Permissions" and under that "Block Voice" select the account that is getting the calls and then "Block only the following phone numbers for inbound and outbound calls" and enter the number, 877-671-1851, and click "save.")

    Thanks!
I never pay attention to my account online...I just ignore any # I don't recognize - but thanks "Problem Solved"! I now have this number blocked (and will be blocking a few others from other service providers).

Thank you "Problem Solved"! Excellent reminder. I did it and I'm happy with the results. If only the "new and improved" MySprint.com was a little more user friendly, so a non-expert could find his way around.
On the other hand I sent an e-mail to dan@sprint. com and as always I got a real human to call me back and they assured me that I am on THEIR Do Not Call (DNC) list. She said in the reply e-mail:
"I verified that the Sprint do not call list is intended to prevent
marketing calls from Sprint." Also on the phone she verified that the 877 number IS their marketing Dept!

Anyway, when you have a problem with Sprint go to MySprint.com and you might find the solution there or drop a line to Mr. Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO at dan@sprint.com and you will get results! Honest!

I've been with Sprint for 12 yrs and I'm pretty happy with them - and NO, I do NOT work for Sprint :-)
