Complaint

I'm job hunting... everytime my cell phone rings and I see a number with area code on it I get excited... decided to query the internet as to who is calling me... 877-671-1851... saw all these wonderfully positive postings... alas no job query... just more cell phone garbage... guess my efforts with the no call list are to no avail.. think this is bad... I was on Sprint's Military Plan... we were overseas for three years... supposed to keep my account in limbo until we moved back to the States... there are not supposed to be charges, but was taxed via New York State... kept having to call Sprint to have numerous charges and bills reversed... Sprint just doesn't get it...
Will leave Sprint when contract runs out... do you hear that Mr. Sprint CEO ?

Can a Sprint Excuetive answer these complaints?  Can we all band together and go public? Because all media is bought off by these sorts of companies, (Sprint, Coke, Today Show, Local News Broadcast, Etc.,.  The only way for our voice to be heard is for an individual to get a gathering and go after Sprint and like companies.

I had sprint call me and offer me another phone for free.  I said ok.  dumb move on my part.  I got a phone that had another phone number with it.  I had to drive about ten miles to take it to the main sprint and they took it off my account and kept the phone.  I had some charges added as well as my minutes changed.  Not the mention the gas to drive there.  The person I talked to didnt tell me the truth about what was going to happen and the whole thing raised my bill after that.  Dont answer...if you do and figure out it is them, hang up.  It is a 3rd party offshoot from sprint.  They say they cant control them?

Got a call from this number today @ 1pm. Didn't answer it because I was asleep & glad I didn't now that I've Googled the number. I used to get these calls on the regular about a year ago & then they stopped after I cussed the lady out. I guess they forgot who I was...so if they keep calling me I will just have to remind them again.

I get frequent calls from this number so I added it to my phone book and labeled it "Don't Answer = Telemarketer". I also gave it an ugly ring so I can hear not to answer if it's in my pocket or purse. They never leave a voicemail and I don't pick up, so I am not incurring a charge on my bill.

    Good luck!

I Found the message in the "> Sprint Community > Sprint Forums > Services and Features > Sprint Apps and Services > Discussions" @ sprint.com:

Call Blocking is now available from our online account pages at sprint.com.

    My Account>My Preferences>Limits & Permissions>Block Voice.

Using the settings on this page, you can control which phones on your account are capable of making outbound calls and establish a list of numbers that are blocked both for inbound and outbound calls.
You can block inbound and outbound calls for up to 50 phones numbers.

This should take care of those pesky sprint? (or whoever)telemarketers.

I get a call from this number all the time and never do they leave a voicemail.. Until the other day. It was a lot of background noice until someone actually started whispering things into the phone. It was hard to understand but it was very creepy. Do not answer!

I love Sprint!!! Sorry to all of you that don't. I've had their service for 8 yrs and never ever had a problem. I always have service and no dropped calls. This number that called is not a part of Sprint.

I have gotten a few calls from here and it is definitely annoying.  I was reading through the posts and someone claims that they called sprint customer service and they said this is not a Sprint number.  Either way, if it is Sprint or someone trying to scam, obviously they gave our number out since everyone on here is a sprint customer.  This is just annoying

EVERYBODY - Please stop spreading misinformation about this, and making reactionary posts.

Sprint has a deal with a telemarketing firm to contact its customers about promotions and additional features.  I get calls from this number all the time, and it's always the same Indian call center trying to sell me the same stupid things.

CALL THE NUMBER BACK, WAIT FOR THE PROMPT, AND PRESS '6'
This will remove you from their rotation.

It's no more complicated than that.  You DO NOT need to add the number to blocked callers.  You also don't need to assign it as a contact on your phone.  Just stop the calls at the source.  If, after doing what I suggested, you still receive phone calls from Sprint solicitors, then call Customer Care and ask for the Retentions department.  Threaten to leave, they should make it worth your while.

For the record, i've been a Sprint customer for 6 years, and I used to sell phones for different carriers (AT&T, Alltel, Nextel, etc).  I won't be switching carriers anytime in the near future, considering the competition's stance on data usage, the definition of the word "Unlimited", and their pricing schemes.
If the odd call from a telemarketer is enough to make you switch wireless providers, then good luck finding satisfaction with the other guys.

I had an online chat session with Sprint tonight. If you're a Sprint customer, you can go online to simply block the number via your preferences. It took just a few minutes for all phones on our plan.

Like the rest of you, I also got countless call from this number.  If you have a smartphone like blackberry or android, install a call-blocker app and add this number to the blacklist.

Another Sprint customer here.  Got the call this evening.  Ignored it, of course.

Answered this call and no one answered. Suggestion for those that are annoyed.  Save the # in your contacts are Do Not Answer and have the volume set to off when this # calls you.  This way you don't have to be disturbed by these people again.  No reason to cancel Sprint a lot of people get these random calls regardless of the service provider.

I want to add to this as mentioned above...

    Go Here --> My Account>My Preferences>Limits & Permissions>Block Voice

On that page select your phone/name by clicking on that block & "save".  You will then be prompted to select your options.

**Block only the following phone numbers for inbound and outbound calls**
Choose that one & put in this number that we're all bitching about!  NO MORE CALLS! (I hope!! :)  I just did it so we''ll see!

Sprint didn't give our #'s away!  It is an auto dialing system.  A # is punched in & then the phone system automatically starts dialing the next # in the sequence, then the next & so on....

Do like what was mentioned above & go to your acct & block it & be done.
