I can mirror Wayne's comment.  I just got a call from Card Member Services - probably my 10th over the last six months - and hit 1 to speak to a representative.  She asked if I was calling to lower my interest rate.  When I said I wanted my number off the database she instantly hung up on me.  The number showed as 425-390-8105.

Yep! I've gotten several of these calls to my cellphone in the last few days. Numbers used include: 503-902-9259, 503-468-5531, 253-246-8503.

I've started to ask them if their family knows if they lie for a living.

I started getting "Rachel" calls last summer; almost every day. Due to the length of my recorded greeting I never heard the first few lines of her speil. Then the calls stopped for a long time. Started up again yesterday and today. Today the message was repeated and I heard the entire call. I too am on the do not call list. Also, I'm a retired senior which I would think is the prime target for thsse scammers.

I too get these calls ALL the time and am FED UP with their sh*t!!!! I have asked several times to be taken off their list and one time I was told " No cause you didn't ask nice enough!" Areyou for f-ing real? Usually they just hang up on me but just today after telling them to stop calling me and remove me from their list the a*shole started breathing really hard and lud intot he phone making moaning sounds. I wish I knew their home phone numbers so I could call them EVERYDAY and harass them, I'd call EVERY night @ dinner time and conitue to call them all through the night. But since I don't knbow their home numbers I will do the whistle tactic!!!! Lets see how they like it when they're deaf from my friend the whistle!!!

Cardmember services says they are not making calls or any of their banks. They say these are fraudulent calls or scams and do not give them any information if you respond. Notify your service provider also.

I picked up a cheap air horn from the dollar store that sits on my desk.  When they call, I hit one and start answering their questions with false information.  Then when I am tired of them I blast them with the air horn and hang up.  I used to get mad and upset at them, but now it is a fun break in my day!  I figure it is costing them money to route me to an operator and the more of their time I can waste the more it costs them.  I now look forward to the calls!

Same applies to me as so many other posts here.  So instead I decided they are wasting my time so I will waste their's as well.  Give them false information such as you have a lot of credit debt with many card holders at high interest rates.  After you have been on the phone with them for a while simply say one of the following then hang up,

I decided to go with another company

I don't like the way you sound

2nd thought I am on the do not call list

ask then for a call back #, they will not give you one then hang up

I came to the conclusion you can't get them to stop calling and not too much we can do so best payback is waste their time.

You can't call them back due if you use the # in your caller ID it is an invalid #.

If enough people submit to wasting their time also they will stop calling.

Same here in middle TN. All of the above is true for us, too. Surely there is a way to stop this harrassment. Please post if anyone comes up with a way to stop this madness!

I am a victim also, for about a year now, receiving 2-3 calls a month.  And as the rest of you, if I connect to a person and ask to be removed from the call list they simply hang up.  I’ve repeatedly reported them to the ‘do not call’ registry to no avail.  I find when there is a number on my caller ID, each time they call it’s a different number, even some from Jamaica.  On Dec 14 I took it a step further and reported them to the Federal Trade Commission (877/765-8388).  My complaint number was #33935688.  I don’t know if it would be of any use if a couple thousand of us called them to report but its worth a try.  I get more calls from them per month than all the telemarketing calls I received BEFORE the Do Not Call registry.

Most people already know this, but just in case...

YES! It is ABSOLUTELY a scam. NEVER give out any personal information. If you have caller ID you can register the number here:
    https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

I have received these calls. My neighbors have received these calls. If you manage not to get hung up on and challenge them they become belligerent and make threats or use foul language. If you think you may have given them personal information by mistake:

    1. File a police report-This could be helpful if you have to prove identity theft down the road.
    2. Contact your credit card companies-Let them know what you told them and they may be able to assist in protecting your account(s).
    3. Watch your credit reports for suspicious activity. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the 3 credit repairing agencies.

My advice is to hang up as soon as you hear "Rachel" and report the incident/phone number using the link above. If the fed gets enough complaints they might be encouraged to act. Until then, I think we have no choice but to listen to "Rachel"...

I made a small payment on my account, but these people started calling constantly every half hour or so because I didn't make their minimum payment. So I CALLED THEM and talked to one of their representatives.  That should have been the end of it! But they still keep calling every half hour or so.  So I blocked the number on my phone so that it only rings once and then hangs up on them.  I think if you call and discuss it with them, they should STOP THE HARASSING CALLS!

You're wrong. They won't stop calling because for every 10,000 people that hang up on them, waste their time, complain, blah, blah, blah there is that ONE DESPERATE IDIOT who will give them all their information. That's all the SC@MBAGS are hoping for it but it's enough that they will never go away. If the lousy politicians gave a flying f@ck about anyone but themselves they'd do something about it. Unfortunately they don't so get use to it. The smart people just hang up because they aren't stupid enough to waste their time worrying about it like we all are. After reading the comments here I realize I've wasted EVEN more of my time. So, now I don't feel bad about what I usually say to them wich is "I hope you crash into a bridge abutment on your way home from work and hopefully you just picked up your family". Merry Christmas

I got a REAL number for Rachel.  407-454-6490

I've reported it to FCC - but everyone who dislikes these guys - start calling it!!!  It's the number you get transferred to when you press 1.

I, too have received dozens of calls from "Rachel at Card Member Services" and I always press 1 to talk to someone, then I usually talk to them breifly and then put the phone down and leave it there for a while - to waste their time.  I did that and then the guy CALLED BACK!!

At that point I revealed that I was not interested and he needed to remove me from the list.  But the number he called back from WORKS!  So while most of the robocalls are spoofed phone numbers - this one is real.

I get several calls a month. The latest one - today - from 281-217-0241 - is a cell phone from Houston. I paid White Pages Lookup $1.99 to get the name and location of the owner. It is Nelam Jain from Dekalb, IL. Hopefully, someone can use this information.

Two times in 15 minutes -- once on my house and one one my cell -- they use different numbers on the caller ID each time -- so you really cannot black them -- next time they call I may play along -- when they ask about comuter I will "I do not have one." I just had "Chary" - female.
They people must be paid by the case they can refer to the next level. This lady said the work with a "Visa, Master Card and Discover cards and the bank wanted them to contact me."
