I have heard that if when you hear a recording on the phone, you should dial the # key 6 to 8 times rapidly and it will confuse the computer dialing system of the telemarketing company. I don't know if that really works, but it certainly does help my frustration level:)

Just got back from a 4 month trip overseas and guess what the first phone call I received. Apparently if they get a messaging service, they just hang up and call back again later. I'm going out to buy a whistle!!!

I have been receiving many calls from these people. They are now spoofing other numbers to prevent being found. I pressed 1 to speak with someone and asked for his name which he refused to give me. I asked for his company name to which he responded "Cardmember Services". I asked for a valid phone number which he refused to provide. I asked for an address and he provided 911 East Ave in Orlando Florida, but I believe this may be a false address. I then thanked him for that information and politely explained to him that my number was on the Do Not Call list and that is like the calls to stop. He responded to this with extremely vulgar sexual remarks and threatened me with sexual assault including sodomy if I reported him.

I too got a call from these people, but the number I was given was 1-888-778-5736 or direct to Norman Stone (tell me that isn't a fake number) ONCE HE ASKED ME FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IS WHEN I PUT THE BRAKES ON, FOR I SCAMMED OUT OF THOUSANDS of dollars before, and I knew then this was a scam!! PLEASE BEWARE OUT THERE

The number for "Cardmember Services" is 815-349-5471 and they use a VoIP from Magic Jack. They are not a legitimate company as they use this generic company name that doesn't even match any website with the same phone number. They spoof a local area code to make the initial call to you (the potential victim). I got the "Senior Account Manager, Norman Stone" (may also be a fake name) so upset that he called me a [***] and I hung up on him. Do I feel bad? NO. Maybe he will put me on his company "do not call list" but I am not holding my breath.
