They called me for what feels like the millionth time a week or so ago. So, instead of hanging up, I pressed "1" to speak with a rep. Instead of being all pissed off and grumpy (like I felt), I asked the guy really nicely to please remove me from the list. I actually said:
"Hi, I'm not actually interested in lowering my interest rate. It's just that my number is actually on the national do not call registry, and I was hoping you could maybe, pretty please, remove my phone number from your call list."
His reply:
"That's okay, sweetheart! You don't have to say pretty please. I'll get you removed from our list right now."
So, I thanked him sweetly and went about my business for the day.... and today I got another call. So much for THAT method.

Thanks, vadhopper! I've called twice and got a super friendly person in "account services" each time. I'm at work so I figured I wouldn't make a scene, but as soon as I get a break I'm going to step outside and give these people a piece of my mind.
I might as well add 407-454-6490 to my friends and family because that number is going to get a lot of calls while I'm still getting calls from them.
Method 1: Listen to the offer and politely decline "I'm sorry but I don't have the amount of credit debt needed for this. Could I ask to be removed from your calling list? I get a lot of calls from you guys and I'm sure you don't want to waste your time on me if I can't sign up for your service. Thanks so much.... mmkay.... mm hmm.... buh bye."

Ok so made the call and got Benjamin. He said they would like to offer me an interest rate of as low as 0% (I said "Wow, that's AMAZING!" lol). He asked about what my total credit card balances were and I told him $0, my card is paid off and I use it only for emergencies. He said he was sorry to tell me that I didn't qualify because I needed to have $4000 total balance and that this program was meant to help people with higher balances on their card. I explained my limit isn't even $4,000 but I understood why they would target high balance customers. I said "Benjamin, I actually do get a lot of these calls and this is the first time I was able to respond. Since I don't qualify for the offer can I be removed from the calling list?" He verified the number, said I would no longer receive calls from them, and thanked me for my time. We'll see...
Also I called my CC company to ask them about this. They said they get lots of calls but usually it is from people wanting to change their account number because this company got their information and started racking up charges. She said about 60% of people who call in have already given out their info. My heart goes out to those who already got scammed.

I am in California and have been getting phone calls for the past couple years from Rachel. I have asked several times to be removed. I have also pretended to be interseted in lowering interst rates and asked for a phone number. I was then disconnected. Words cannot describe the anger that I feel when I get these calls. If I only knew their personal phone numbers let alone their addresses. I say we all keep a whisle (or better yet, an air horn) near the phone and spread the word to friends and family to blow the thing right in their eardrum whenever they call. Maybe they will realize they aren't going to get through to anyone in the country.

I got phone calls from this company as well. Looks like they keep changing their phone numbers.
The phone numbers appeared on my phone were: 301-362-7319 (Beverly Hills, CA) 303-217-1074 (Dever, CO)
As soon as I mentioned that my phone number was on the do-not-call list, they hung up right away.

Just curious, how did you come by the 407-454-6490 number? It's definitely a number that gets direct to one of their call centers, and I plan to call them every single day to waste as much of their time as humanly possible because they don't seem to have any problem doing that to other people.
For additional fun with these folks, be sure to have some information on hand ahead of time to keep stringing them along.
Test Credit Card numbers that will check as seeming valid (note, many of the Visa's are in debit card ranges, which will frustrate them if you "accidentally" give those first):
Make sure you have a fake last-4 of your SSN handy (and don't switch it up during the call, they seem to take notes).
Once they have a card number or two that seem valid (it will error in their system, but they won't be able to figure out why) you'll be able to say pretty much anything you want because they'll already have bitten. I was openly berating one guy for 20 minutes at the end of a call, he just kept begging for my SSN and ignored every insult I hurled his way.

I am from Minnesota. I, too, have had numerous phone calls (about 10-12) from "Cardmember Services. I've talked to the "real person" and told them I don't qualify. Once they told me they would remove me from the list - but hasn't happened. I've tried keeping them on the line to get an address to write a complaint to - I was informed they are in Eugene, OR, but when I asked for an address, they - as usual - hung up on me. Too frustrating!

One more number these idiots called from: 218-300-0000
Caller identified as Michelle Francis, id 1432, speaking with a heavy accent. Kept on getting confused about her company name, calling it Cardmember Services and Financial Services. Said they are based in Atlanta, GA, with offices in Orlando, FL and Dallas, TX. Refused to provide any more detailed information or contact number, refused to add me to do not call list, promised more calls in the future and cursed me out. Then conferenced a "supervisor" into the call, who repeated all the same things, said that US laws to not apply to me because "I don't sound like I'm based in the US", cursed me out as well and hung up.

SJSooze shuts down 303 217-1074
I've gotten numerous calls from someone who claims to be "Card Services" or "Credit Card Services" but my cell is off in my office during the day due to no reception and I usually just get the message. EARLY one week-end morning (when I dont even want calls from family - I WORK ALL WEEK) these clowns called. On Jan 10, 2012, 6pm, I answered the phone. I pressed one and in a friendly voice answered her question of "Did you press one to lower your rates?" with " I pressed one to speak with a person and ask to be removed from your call list, please". CLICK!!! The woman HUNG UP on me!!! After waking ME on a week-end? When I called back I got a mail-box is FULL. NOW I'm on a mission to cause as much Chaos for "Mike Anderson at 303 217-1074 as I POSSIBLY CAN!!!!
============ I have NETDETECTIVE and when I searched the number 303 217-1074 it didnt give me Mike Anderson - but rather - CHIP WRIGHT at 98 BONNYMEDE RD Pueblo, CO 81001. He lives in a duplex (as the pic appears on Google Maps). I'm sharing this info with as many of you as I can!!!

I am constantly receiving called from Card Member Services in Orlando, FL. This last call I pressed the number to speak with someone live. I asked this person what this call was about, he said it was regarding my credit card account. I have only 1 credit card which I use and pay off entirely each month, so I was very interested in what this person had to say. He repeated it was about my credit card. When I asked him WHAT CREDIT CARD, he hung up. This has happened to me very frequently, and it seems since the new year, it has started all over again. How do we stop these people from calling, as I am on a DO NOT CALL list.

The calls have been coming in at home and on both our cell phones. I did call 407-454-6490; thank you 'vadhopper' for sharing it. A male answered my call with "Did you call to lower your interest rate sir?" :o I han't spoken a word. How did he know if I was a sir or a ma'am. I called from a private work number which they can not trace back directly to my desk. They can call the company's main number, but I don't expect they'll take that action more than once. I did call them back previously and I did string them along a bit. I told them I was not interested and I even allowed myself to be escalated up the ladder. Twice. Supposedly I was speaking at last with the manager/owner. You bet. I believed that. Ha! I assured him I was not interested and that I did not believe the line of bull they were handing out. We are one one the luckier folks who have not been called back. To date that is. We too are on the Do Not Call list. All of our phones are. Good Luck to everyone and keep sharing the information. It is very helpful to us all.

I did a lot of research on the web and I found the following:
1. The real company behind this is First USA which appears to be a bank using this mailing address: First USA Cardmember Services P.O. Box 15298 Wilmington, DE 19850-5298
2. First USA is using a third party called Cardmember Services to run the website and telephone call processes. The website is: www.cardmemberservices.com
3. You can use the donotcall.gov website to file a complaint. This does not appear to be used by law enforcement since complaints have existed for this company for quite some time.
4. The best method for filing a complaint is to the Federal Communications Commission which has the governmental responsibility for enforcing the laws about telemarketing calls like this one. The website for filing a FCC complaint is: www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html

i have gotten this call so many times, and it's before 10am, and being college kids that doesn't have to be to school before noon, getting a call at 8:30am kinda pisses me off. and it's on my home phone so i can't do anything about it, and i just got hung up on...again...

I have gotten so many calls today from this company, it's not funny. I hit #1 to speak with someone and whenever the conversation gets around to where this company is located (all have indicated Orlando, FL) or taking my name off the list, they hang up. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia and they may need to check their lists better -- I don't have or use credit cards so I know off the rip they're full of crap. On the third call of the day, one of the reps said that they want to qualify me for a new card, so the First USA info makes sense.
I'm sick and tired of these calls; I'm ready to shut 'em down.

I too have been bothered both at home and on my cell just like the complaints above but they went a bit farther with my cell phone number! They used my cell phone number as THEIR caller ID so I received calls from all over my own area code raising hell with me for being on their phone. It was awful. I had all kinds of people screaming at me the minute I answered my cell phone. My only alternative was to leave a long voice mail explaining to the callers that my caller ID was stolen by this Cardmember Services scam and being used by them. It took another two weeks before they changed the number. I still am receiving these calls on my cell phone and my home phone so I too have a horn I blow that I bought for my boat. It is aerosol can and absolutely deafening - Maybe if we all blow enough of their eardrums they will quit! I can hardly wait for my next call.
