If you have problems with qtbill.com harassing you over alleged bills you never incurred, file complaints with FTC and Indiana Attorney General.
There is no excuse for any company to act as a billing front for fraudulent transactions, whether aiding and abetting fraud by "merchants" or "customers".

tj do you know the contact info for those agencies?
I did have contact with qt a few weeks ago by e-mail and the debt is valid..for a collect call..I didnt have any idea of that because i never did get anything from them in the mail. Their recordings are vague. Their calls referred you to online and online referred you to calling and you go thru a maze and never reach anyone when calling. Online wants your credit card for payment only..like I wanta give them my credit card number! Now they are trying to charge me more...I only recently found out what the debt was for. They harassed me with many calls a day with an automated recording with no way to talk to a real person. They claimed I only tried to contact them recently however we have been trying to contact them through those mazes for days and finally left a message and finally e-mailed. They have harassed me and via recording called me a "thief" and said they wouldnt stop calling until I pay. They are bullies. I feel so much that this may still be a scam. I dont know if its fraud or something.. Why would they make it so hard to reach some one? They make it where nobody wants to pay because they dont know who they are then they start tacking on fees to get more money from you.

I too am receiving the periodic harassing telephone calls -- AT WORK -- not necessarily once per hour, but frequently none-the-less. As mentioned above, I have had no dealings at all with qtbill.com historically. I just hung up the phone from having called the Indiana Attorney General's office. The staffer I talked to there said that this sounds like a scam and that she would send me an official complaint form to register a complaint against qtbill.com.
Stay tuned ....

The only reason you would be getting automated calls is to remind you to pay your account. Or to call you and let you know your account is about to have late fees added or the account is being turned over to a collection company.
The only way to sign up a account with qtbill.com is to answer a few personally identifying questions! Once we confirm your identify your account is created.
You also would have had to accept the charges before creating the account. For example to purchase this product for $14.95 please press 1 now or press I accept button on a web site. Then you would had to have answer several questions to create the account. So it is hard to understand why someone at that phone number would have no idea about the bill or the account.
If you are unaware of qtbill.com and the account you might want to check with those people who also have access to your phone or internet. Also we respond to every email and can tell you who at that phone number used set up the account. We try to handle most customer service issues by email so we may send supporting billing information.
The only reason we would call you several times is that you have not responded to our calls and we our trying to contact you about your account .
If this posting has not helped please email us at service@qtbill.com or call 1-866-518-0391.

QTBill is a billing company that bills for several merchants. In this instance the merchant was a long distance company.
Before these connections were allowed, you would have had to confirm acceptance of the pricing structure for this service, then establish an account with QTBill so we could bill you directly for these charges. You would have been required to give us your name, your zip code, birth year and last 4 digits of your Social Security number. With this information, we were able to verify your identity and approve her for billing purposes. Before the call was connected you would have heard that we would be sending your bill out in a bright orange envelope.
We try to handle billing inquiries via email because it avoids leaving messages back and forth, plus if necessary we can send bill copies and other critical information required in assisting you in billing questions or issues.
We sent a bill out, but it was never paid. so we tried to contact you at the phone number the call was accepted. These calls must have went unanswered or the calls were not returned or we would not have continued to call.
I hope this explains this situation to your satisfaction.
Thank you,

I stopped by qtbill's office yesterday (was already in the neighborhood anyway, so why not...?). After getting some data from a gentleman in the office, I did some investigating about what had happened at work. As it turns out, a person in our housekeeping department (who obviously had access to my office phone) subscribed to an Internet service and used my office phone to do it - at 3:58 a.m. - hence why I didn't know about the debt, and why my phone was targeted by qtbill.
The gentleman at qtbill was kind enough to remove my office phone number from the person's contact information and sent the sound file of the person saying his/her name as an attachment to an e-mail to me. As it turns out, this situation is simply another circumstance surrounding the person involved which makes his/her continued employment here questionable.
I thank the qtbill people for helping me get to the bottom of this. Having said that, you might want to re-consider your customer contact methodology. I got caught up in your automated telephone merry-go-round and never got the idea that your primary means of contact was through e-mail. I was dead-set on talking to a live person at the time. Your automated telephone system needs to explicitly state that your primary means of communication is through e-mail. Your website also needs to make a deal out of e-mail being the primary comm method.

I have also had a problem with qtbill. And Brad, the phone number you give here reaches no one. What is that all about. How about a real number??? I think you guys are a bunch of scammers and I am going to right a complaint also. The information that you refer to asking from people is bunk. So I give you 4 digits of a social and other stuff why could I not give you a phony phone number and use your service on line. Then you call the other persons phone number. In this case I am that other inoccent person being hurrased by you and I can not get a person on the line from qtbill. And the proof Brad, that you guys are the problem is the phone number you list here 1-866-518-0391 DOES NOT REACH ANYBODY. We have left emails and all you say is that you have personal information that proves its us. Well how about telling me the question I asked in the email "what did I buy and when did I buy it" You say you sent me a bill well how about doing what we asked and "send us another bill please".

Brad, I have never received an invoice. I am not disputting the bill, but the phone numbers that have been provided does give me information where to send my payment, but not the amount. Can you see that I get a statement and that the phone calls stop? Send me a new invoice at 9250 S. 440, Locust Grove, Oklahoma and I will be more than happy to clear up this matter immediately. I have been receiving the same harrassing phone messages telling me that I owe money, am overdue in my payment, to go to qtbill.com and click on quickpay to clear it up or call 1-866-204-1287. I received 20 of these prerecorded phone messages in the last 4 days, most of which start at at some random place in the recording. I have not received any emails indicated above, not one. Even if I did, it would have to itemize my purchase so I would know it's legitimate before I would ever click on any links provided -- in these days of identity theft and internet scams, this reeks of scam. I do not have any dealings with qtbill as far as I know. I will not respond to these harrassing phone messages without some form of validation by email or phone proving to me clearly and directly that these claims are legitimate.
