Let us know if you were not able to obtain our address to send your payment in. It should be on our web site at www.qtbill.com

    Thank you

At least in California, that distinction won't protect you.

The Rosenthal Act applies to both creditors collecting on their own debts and debt collectors collecting on defaulted debts.

Other states may have similar laws.

Why are you calling every hour on the hour for a payment. You was paid $17.95 on Wednesay March 17.
I know because it has been taken out of my account.
This is my first and will be my last time using you.

I have been getting back to back calls every day, starting early morning up to sometimes at night. I have no ideal what this is and can't get anybody on the phone because it's all recording. one recording stated that i incurred a bill by excepting long distance calls on my phone and that is a lie, to my knowledge this company is a bigger fraud than I've ever seen in my life time. I've called all the numbers they call me from and there never is a live person to talk to. they call from every state you can think of, there have to be a way to stop this harrassment to  people that just want to have peace from this kind of maddness.

You should email us at service@qtbill.com.  We can check to see if the payment was lost in the mail. The only reason we would be calling you is for non payment.

You are correct if someone used your personal phone and set up a account we will locate the person who set up the account. Not sure why a BBB complaint should be filed or why you would say we are crooks? All that needs to be done is email us at service@qtbill.com and explain to us that someone used your phone number to set up an account, We have several ways of tracking down the person who used your phone to set up the account. And we will make them pay for the service they used.

    Thanks

i too have been getting harrassing phone calls. every hour, on the hour. checked their website, found the account info, account is legit but that doesn't justify the harrassment. especially since the calls are made by a robo-caller, not a real person, the messages are incomplete (since they don't wait for the beep) and like a previous post states, they don't provide any info as to what you owe or for what.

i was hesitant to even provide my info for payment after seeing so many complaints about this company. even brad seems like a robot (anyone notice that most of his responsess are exactly the same)

definately will putting in a call to the FTC about this company.

will also be keeping a close eye on my credit card in case of any 'extra' charges.

I joined qtbill in haste when my spouse called me from Chicago (while I'm thousands of miles away).  She was rejected twice because I had no idea that I had to join a service, and thought that things like the zipcode that I was asked for corresponded to my phone billing address.  Wouldn't that make sense?  There was no clue that she activated some obscure service by trying to place a collect call from an airport payphone; and I had no clue that an obscure service was involved except AFTER trying to enter information I thought was valid as it related to my phone service and finally being rejected.

Anyway, I'm not feeling good about not reading positive things about this service, and i want to cancel immediately.  The last section of their Terms & Conditions on the website says:

    6. Your right to cancel your use of qtbill.
6.1 You may end qtbill service at any time by deactivating your use of qtbill via the qtbill website.
6.2 We may end or suspend your use of qtbill at any time at our sole discretion (for example and without limitation, if you cancel your telephone services related to your use of qtbill, give up usage of your activated telephone number or if your account remains inactive for a reasonable period).

However, I cannot for the life of me find where that is possible!  Not being able to find an account area after the site tells me "Thank-you, your account has been successfully created" worries me quite a bit.  How trustworthy can a company be that does this type of thing deliberately?

Can anyone help me accomplish a cancellation?

PS.  How does one “activate” a phone number?  Does that happen when someone makes a collect call to you, your number gets “activated”?  Would I have to change my number in order to deactivate a service that appears to not be above-board?

I wanted to follow up on some correspondence that I received back from qtbill, first to say that it was rationally stated and reasonable.  The fact is, I *do* have a "non-traditional" phoneline that cannot accept collect calls, and I would not have known my wife was trying to call me at all had it, supposedly, not been for this service.

But the experience as a whole still stifles one's ability to trust them:
    *  not knowing that there was a service involved in accepting a collect call and being shocked by a $17 fee,
    *  trying to reply with the requested data not knowing that it had to be recorded elsewhere,
    *  being told after failing to pass the security criteria for unknown reasons at the end of a desperate effort to accept that I had to sign up on some site …

This is not a good introduction to the service.

Then there is their website.  The conspicuous lack of information, lack of transparency, and inability for the user to get a hold on his own supposed account does the opposite of inspire trust --- it fosters distrust.

I have worked on websites for companies whose internet presence was dictated or overly influenced by a sleazy or down-right immoral marketing department, ignorant of more above-board ways of approaching humans and transactions and of germinating good relationships.  It feels like this company is victim of the same or similar.

If this is an honest company with nothing to hide and everything to brag on --- and it seems that they may! ---, they would do themselves a huge favor in recasting their brand, presence, and client interactions from scratch.  Otherwise, they succeed in spite of themselves.

Even if their enterprise is legit, I, for one, will not trust them; and my wife and I will establish different protocols for contacting each other.  Skype from any hotspot comes to mind.  Credit-card calls is another alternative.

I never got an invoice and don't know what this is all about.  Please mail an invoice for claimed outstanding bills to me at   "Pollack & Pollack, 225 Broadway, suite 307, New York, New York 10007  attn: real estate department; and we'll clear it up.  My phone number (of my cell phone which is getting the recorded message from QT-Billing) ends in "5310".

Email service at qtbill.com and let them know the number that we are calling. They will look up the person who used or gave us that number as their contact number.

    Thanks

Ron we are a billing service and the $17 charge is what the merchant is charging you for your purchase.  We as the billing company always confirm with the customer that they are willing to accept those charges before we establish an account with us or bill our customers. And the customer has to confirm for us that they are wiling to accept and pay for the charges.

We have little control of how merchants introduce us to their customers. We are sorry if after they could not bill you in the traditional manner that you did not feel your intro to our billing services made you feel comfortable.

It sounds like you have a very good back round in web site design. I think your past dealings with some of your clients may be giving you the wrong impression of our company. I think you have some good advice and I will pass this along to the design team. Thanks for your input. We will keep working to improve our services.
