Yesterday, I received a call from a "Kevin Johnson" who claimed to be calling to collect on a debt owed on a payday loan. He spoke in a thick Indian accent. I informed him that I was filing chapter 7 bankruptcy and gave him my lawyer's information. Today, he called me back from 1 (311) 695-3764. He left a call back number on my voicemail asking to call him back on this number: 1(347) 602-4551. Then he called me back this evening and would not give me any information except to tell me that he was collecting for a payday loan from Cash Advance. I have never heard of this company, first off. Second off, he was very rude and hung up on me when I was trying to get information. He had my social security number and said he had an affidavit for my arrest. I am very concerned b/c I have read on the internet that this is a scam and this guy has my social security number. I am going through a bankruptcy and I am hoping to establish some credit and I don't need some wierd scammer with my social...

This is ============ and i have you listed as the primary suspect on a case file which is going to be downloaded in your county court for further legal actions. The nature of my call is to ascertain your attorney’s information so tht i can be able to fax the affidavits to your attorney before file ing the case against you…
They give three false allegations . They do hve to information of the people of US with SSN, ADDRESS, BANK name and ACC, PHN NO, WORK NO, AND REFERENCE NUMBER. I kindly request you all to stop paying the payments cause u hve no loans pending and they are earning in rupees… India is great and one of the best country but there are some people who are doing this to earn a lots of money and the US payday loan sites should stop giving “LEADS” (they are giving personal informations of the people in india who are applying for the loan in united states so in india it is easy to earn money sitting and dialing and collecting money from U.S. people) to india.
Fake "payday loan application" websites?
Or do they have access to credit reports?

8 Dec 2011These guys were Indian and they were trying to take legal action on loans that were never taken out, claimed they were going to get the sheriff and arrest me. Brian Adams and James Brown did a conference call, but refused to talk to my lawyer, and they gave me two different case files.Caller: Magnus Law Firm
They have not called in a while
It usually starts with them telling me that there are TWO attorneys listening....
I generally reply, "That is alot of S### to have stacked in room isn't it?"
I usually suggest that they open a convienence store so he can "Ha-laise the plice" That usually scores points
Asking if he wants to be paid in American Dollars or Rupee?
Be sure to only refer to him personally as APU or PUPU (as in diaper fodder) They like ti when you call them that
When they say they are going to have you arrested, just simply say "I be here waiting" No problem
When he says "Get yourself an attorney".... I usually say, "why, I am not committing wire fraud, you are"
Ask him to validate the debt, where is the check, where is your documentation... asking him questions usually puts them on there heels quickly
If he asks you for any information.... don;t give him anything, sinply reply "Is that info not on your TELNET fishing list print out?"
I actually miss these calls, because by caller number 10 I usually got is down to making him regret he had ever read my name on his lead report in 5 minutes"
Abuse them in ever imaginable way, with every racial stereotype you can possibly think of.... they called you, you did not call them...... they can get over it....
